Illumi ending
Still really sick, got bad enough that I actually started drinking water and eating soup (102 degree fever guys, might still be able to go to work tmrw if I try hard enough🙏)
"You've gained quite a bounty yourself by now, do you know that, Zoldyck?"
You felt the gun press into the back of your head. The man's hand gripping your shoulder tightly. Making sure you couldn't teleport away.
"Have I?" You asked, eyes flicking between all the people in the room. With them all being fully armed, there was no way you'd be able to kill them even if you tried.
So your only option was escaping. But with all the weapons pointed at you, you'd have to be careful with it.
"You've captured five high bounty targets in the past month, that's far above average," The man, assumedly the leader explained as he slowly rose from his seat, "But that's not what made you such a big target, now is it?"
You were a Blacklist Hunter. You saw the lists posted on the current top bounties. The Zoldyck family was always top of the list.
Marrying in was probably the most dangerous thing you had ever done.
"How do you even know I'm a Zoldyck?" You asked, eyes narrowing as the man approached you.
"No need to stall," He called out your behavior, watching a scowl form on your face, "I think it's easier for everyone if I just kill you now-"
You slammed your head back as hard as you could. The man behind you, luckily, dropping the gun pressed against your head from the sudden force.
Before anyone else could react, you were in Yorknew city. Teleporting over and over, until the ground seemed to sway under your feet.
The man who had unfortunately been taken with you fell to the ground. Far less prepared for your ability than you were.
Gripping onto a park bench, you tried to ignore the eyes focused on you. Kicking the man away, before teleporting off again.
—
"This is the second time this has happened." Someone scolded as you woke up, standing by your bedside.
"Pika..?" You groaned, groggily opening your eyes. Hissing at the light.
"It's Kurapika, but yes." The blonde nodded, holding out a glass of water for you to take.
"Did I vomit on your floor again..?" You asked, slowly taking a sip of water. More to please him than for self help. The more you used your ability, the less it affected you.
"Yes."
"I'm sorry."
"It is fine."
"You're so uptight all the time, man." You slowly sat up, massaging your pounding head. More likely from slamming your head back into a gun rather than your Nen ability.
"Is that an issue?"
You laughed softly, swinging your feet off the side of the bed. Attempting to stand, only to be stopped by Kurapika.
"It's necessary that you rest and regain your health, especially with-" He stared at the empty spot on the bed, "They truly won't listen to reason."
—
More training, more bounty hunting missions. Luckily none going wrong this time.
Anytime a mission popped up with the "alive or dead" option, you completed it in a matter of days.
Sure, you knew you were killing these people. Handing them over to people who had no intent other than to kill or torture them.
But you had to make money somehow. Generally, they were bad people anyways. And you were only assisting in kidnapping. You never asked your client what they planned to do with the people you brought to them.
Therefore you have deniability. It set your mind at ease some. Even if you knew your behavior was wrong.
As long as you couldn't carelessly rip out someone's heart, you weren't like them.

You are now privately texting Unknown Number
Unknown Number is now online
Unknown Number
Y/n, it is Illumi.
Y/n is now online
Y/n
How do you have this number.
Unknown Number
It is the number you have been using for all your jobs. It was not hard to track.
Y/n
Then clearly it's a work phone so stop
texting me
Unknown Number
I have a job for you.
Y/n
I decline
Unknown Number
I will stop chasing you if you complete
it. By hand.
—
Well that changes things. Sure he could be lying, but if it was a trap you could just teleport away.
Plus, killing just one person by hand wouldn't be too bad. It's just one, and it might save Illumi from killing a bunch more people in attempt to capture you, right?
—
Y/n
Fine, if that's the case sure.
Unknown Number
Excellent. It's a job I'm sure you can
complete, fairly quickly as well.
Y/n
Oh just send me the details so I can get
this over with.
Unknown Number
Kill Kurapika Kurta. Or I will.
—
Your grip on the phone loosened. Barely noticing as it clattered to the ground.
No. No no no no no no no no no.
This wasn't- you couldn't. He couldn't.
How did he find Kurapika? You had never been seen anywhere around the house. Only teleporting in or out of that building.
It shouldn't be possible. It isn't possible
—
Unknown Number
You have one hour before I kill him
myself. My method will be far more
painful.
Unknown Number is now offline

Unknown Number
I am glad you are finally realizing your
mistake
Y/n
It's me or him isn't it?
—
You never should've gone to Kurapika in the first place. Not a year ago when you tracked him down for intel. And definitely not after escaping Illumi.
He was never supposed to get involved.
This was all your fault.
—
Unknown Number
Either I kill him, or you return home.
Unknown Number
If you ever try to escape, he will be killed. Understood?
Y/n
And if I go home and behave?
Unknown Number
Then no harm will come to him.
Unknown Number
From the Zoldycks, at least.
Y/n
You'll torture me, won't you?
Unknown Number
For two weeks as punishment, although
you deserve more. And then as training,
yes.
Y/n
Lost my chance at no punishment huh?
Unknown Number
It was offered multiple times. It is not
my fault you refused.
Y/n
Yeah whatever, send me your coordinates.
Y/n
I'm coming home.

Reappearing right beside Illumi, you gripped his arm to stable yourself. Teleporting over continents still had a kick to it.
You recognized the location to be an apartment complex right across the street from Kurapika's home.
"Hello, dear." Illumi greeted blandly. As if this all was normal. And he hadn't threatened you into coming here minutes prior.
"Dizzy, one second." You grumbled, not complaining as he pulled you closer. You knew it was because of your ability, and not out of affection.
"It's a shame," Illumi commented, keeping you pressed tightly against him, "that one of your only flaws is what got you captured."
"Emotions?"
"The need for relationships."
"We're married, that's a relationship," You countered. Hands wrapping around his waist tightly.
"Marriage is different." Illumi's tone never changed, his eyes locked on you, "It is necessary to keep the Zoldyck bloodline alive."
"So you don't love me?" You asked. Unsure of why you even cared.
"I did not say that."
"Do you love me?" You asked instead. The only way he'd possibly answer was a yes or no question.
"Of course, you are my spouse-"
"Outside of Zoldyck relations." You grumbled, nails digging into his back, he didn't seem to mind, "I want a yes or no, Illumi. Do you love me?"
You shouldn't care this much. He was a murderer.
But so were you, at this point.
"Not fully, you have too many flaws," You frowned, unsure of what you were expecting, "But I'll fix you."
"Fix me..?"
"Yes. Change you until you're perfect for me."
"Is that love?" You asked, you knew it wasn't. Furthest thing from it. Maybe it was desperation.
"Of course." He kissed your lips softly. And you let yourself enjoy it.
It will probably be the last bit of comfort you get in a while.
—
"Killua!" You shouted excitedly the second your two weeks of 'punishment' was over, and you were allowed to socialize again. Only under strict watch of Illumi.
"Y/n!" He rushed towards you, ignoring the butler he was talking to before.
Despite the two hours you spent excitedly catching up, both of you had a sad glint in your eyes.
You just hoped that when Killua got out, he'd learn from your mistakes.
Plus, maybe Illumi having a lover will take away from Killua's need to be the heir.
If you go down, you'll at least make sure Killua doesn't.

This bonus part is for u, and you only. Any other readers still reading, it might get 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂
"Pretty thing, wake up." Illumi's voice hummed in your ear. You had begun to enjoy hearing it in the mornings.
After expressing that to him, he had made sure to wake you up himself every morning.
Rolling over, you glanced up at Illumi. Who was already dressed and ready for the day.
"Mmh.. torture time, again?"
That was the only time he woke you up this early.
"Not quite. My mother wishes to speak with you before our wedding this afternoon."
"Our wedding's this afternoon!?" You were maybe a bit too loud, immediately shooting up out of bed.
"Yes. My apologies for the short notice-"
Your lips are on his before he could even finish what he was saying. Arms wrapping around him. Twirling his hair around one of your fingers.
He acceptingly returned the kiss. His hand intertwined with your hair. Pulling you in deeper.
You only pulled back when you felt like you were about to pass out due to lack of oxygen. Looking up at him softly.
"You seem more cheerful than you usually are in the mornings."
"Our wedding is today," You buried your face in his chest, "we're getting married."
"We are already married, this is just a formality for my mother-"
"Ah ah, don't care, I'm finally getting my perfect wedding," You purred, much out of character for Y/n, but in character for Lucy ig? "With my perfect husband."
—
And the wedding was, in fact, perfect.
Even Killua behaved. Until he got cake at least. That's probably all he was there for.
Purple hydrangeas covered the entire garden. All of the Zoldycks were there. None of your family, but that didn't matter.
You finally got to say vows. Though Illumi's were rather obsessive and peculiar, you vowed to stay with him no matter what he did to you.
After you both said 'I do', Zeno was dragged off screen to makeout with the author. While this was irrelevant, if you went too far into the woods you might've heard someone begging for a thirty-second round. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Illumi hadn't helped plan the wedding, leaving that to you and Kikyo.
So, at the end when he explained that you two were going on a month long honeymoon, you practically squealed.
Of course that was to wait until after you consummate your marriage.
