Luna POV:

I wake up wrapped in the fur and sheets that feel warmer than when I went to sleep, I rub my eyes and sit up. I look next to me and see dad asleep next to me. I slowly get out of the mixture of fur and fabric and walk over to the small pond in our little cave, I wash my face and then run my fingers through my white hair. As I wash I hear daddy mumble something in his sleep.

"Zeref..." He mumbles and then turns over.

Zeref? Who could that be?

I continue to wash my face and then walk over to the fire, while we were sleeping the fire has died down so I pick up some of the spare wood and place it onto the dying embers slowly so I don't put them out completely.

"Someone's up early." I hear behind me.

"Morning daddy, the fire was going out so I was putting some more wood onto it." I say adding the last of the wood onto the now roaring fire.

"I can see that, today we're going to a small town not to far from here to buy you some clothes. You cant keep wearing the dress you have on now all of the time, and you also need some books and other things to help you learn dragon slayer magic." He says walking to the mouth of the cave.

"No breakfast?" I ask confused and hungrily.

"No if you want to eat you need to catch it, we'll set some snares first and then go to the town." He says and motions for me to follow him.

I stand up and follow him down the cliff face, his careful movements are precise in every way he moves his arms and legs. Mine however are not. I stumble and slip a couple of times but finally manage to reach the bottom.

"Took you long enough." Daddy says and then starts to walk off.

I run after him and he pulls out some wire and twigs.

"Let me show you how to make a snare. This will catch us food and hold it up high so other animals cant eat it before we do, now watch me carefully then you will do it." He says and moves his hands so fast I cant keep up.

"There now your turn." He says passing me his tools.

I gulp and then move away from the area where he set his snare, I try to replicate his movements but end up getting my hands tied together with wire.

"I'm sorry daddy." I say bowing my head.

"Guess this will just be another thing onto the list of what I need to teach you, here." He says and unties my hands. "Lets head to town my snare should be able to catch us something tasty." He smiles softly and takes my hand.

We walk together for what feels like hours and then come to a small village with about ten houses in it, as we walk along people stare at us and back away. Daddy doesn't seem to notice so I just carry on walking just like him, we walk over to a man selling fruit and vegetables and my eyes go wide at the sight of them.

"My supplies please." Daddy says to the man.

"Take it and go away, demon." The man says shoving a bag at daddy.

Daddy puts some money onto the man's cart and then pulls me away with him.

"Why did that man call you a demon daddy?" I ask as we continue to walk getting the things we need.

"I'll tell you when your older." He says simply and takes me into a book shop.

I walk around in awe looking at all of the books, when I was with mama and papa I would always try to read the books they had. Even if I just looked at the pictures I could kinda make out the story.

"What book do you want Luna, you can have one a week. But you need to be able to read it to me before you get a new one." Daddy says patting my head.

"Um....can I have this one please daddy?" I ask pointing to a large book.

"You want that one? Ok this time you can have two only because you need to learn to read first before you can read this one." He says picking up the large book.

I walk over to the counter to a elderly lady who is looking at me with a scared face.

"Excuse me ma'am but do you have any children's books? I don't know how to read so I want to learn." I ask politely.

"This way child." She says still looking at daddy.

She leads me to a colourful corner of the shop where there are many little books.

"These will help you." she says picking up some beginner's books.

"Um I'm only aloud one ma'am." I say taking one book from her.

"The other's are a gift for you child. What's your name?" The elderly lady asks me carrying some of the books.

"Luna ma'am. Luna Nightwing." I say as we walk back to the counter.

I smile at daddy and run to him.

"Look daddy the nice lady gave me some books for nothing!" I say holding them.

He simply nods to the woman and walks out of the shop, I wave back to the woman and follow him. We then walk to the clothes shop and pick out some new things for me, my heart tells me go to the pink ones but my brain is telling me they wont be suitable for training. I walk over to the girls clothes and pick out a pair of dark blue shorts, I continue to look and notice a white top with a black dragon on it. I pick that up and then a black bow for my hair, I grab a hair brush and then look down at my feet. I forgot to grab any shoes when I left today so I don't have any on.

"Um could I have shoes too please?" I ask daddy.

"Sure how about these?" He says showing me some black ankle boots.

"I love them!" I run behind a curtain and change into them, I walk from behind the curtain and smile at daddy.

"Very cute. Now lets head home." He says picking me up in one of his arms.

"You still need to pay." The shopkeeper says crossing his arms.

Daddy drops some coins onto the counter and then walks out of the shop, we walk back out of the town and back to the area where we set the snares. As we walk closer you can hear a soft squeaking noise coming not from daddy's snare, but from my mess of a snare. I jump down from daddy's arm and walk over slowly.

"Get back Luna, let me deal with it. You just go back to the cave with the other things and I'll prepare the meat ready for breakfast." Daddy says and then nudges me to walk away.

I take our bag of supplies and walk back to the cliff face, I look at my hands and make them into fists and then begin to climb. I climb with all of my might and then when I don't thing I can climb anymore I reach the top. I'm filled with so much energy I drop the bag of food next to me and yell at the top of my lungs.

"ROAR!" I yell and am filled with a sense of power.

A roar is then echoed back to me and I see daddy walking back to the bottom of the cliff.

"I think your ready to start training." He climbs up the cliff and then starts cooking some king of meat over the fire.

We sit and eat the food and then daddy takes my hand.

"Lets begin your training."
