I pulled off the traffic cone I wore on my head, Barley snuggled into my hair as soon as possible, shaping it into a almost nest-like shape.

I lifted up a small mouse, of which Barley snatched right out of my hands.

Pushing the other tall stalks of grass behind me, I slowly made my exit from the maze.

I had worn my brown gardening gloves today, so the sharp talons that Bobo had wouldn't scar me.

I found this sweet bird today! I think i'll name them Barley.

Anyways, they took to me really well! I think I might have something like a familiar on my hands now.

Big mistake though letting them onto my arms.

The talons they had scarred them up almost everywhere.

So note to you : Wear gloves next time!

We sped back to my house, As I sat down on the bench on the porch to get my Bailey Bow Uggs off before going into the house.

It was a rule of my family's house, to take off your shoes before entering.

" There ya are, I made sandwiches."

I rushed to the stepping stool, grabbing my mushroom themed bento-box.

" If you're going to go back out, you might want to pack more than sandwiches, and remember to be back before supper."

'' Got It.''

" Did you pack Barley some snacks too? "

'' I've had snacks already packed for Barley, Ma.''

I was putting my food into my bento, a couple orange slices, the sandwiches, almonds..and fruit jelly!

I then shoved it into my tote bag, stopping by the shelf near the entry to get a couple books, before grabbing my patchwork cardigan, and beanie, shoving my beanie into my bag because Barley was still atop my head.

'' Thanks Ma! I'll be back soon!''

With that, I closed the door, slipping back into my Bailey Bow Uggs.

It was time to do a little bit of exploring.
