Third Person's POV

When Anurag Basu felt Mishka was the right one, the tables turned and she was found to be none other than a gold digger. Now there was no chance for Mishka to come back.

His friends always argued with him to find a new girlfriend, but he always ended the argument by saying, "All girls are the same as Mishka."

Not like it was only because of one girl, his mother left his father because at that time his dad, Moloy Basu, wasn't a rich businessman. His mother still admitted her guilt for the decision she took years back. Moloy is his role model, years after years passed but he never tried his chance in a new woman. Moloy's everything was Anurag. What if his new wife didn't care about Anurag? That thing about his dad made Anurag feel more special.

It was just any other trip, he planned with his two best friends, Sid Bannerjee, his best friend since childhood and Anupam Sengupta, also, his sister's fiancè.

Sid Banerjee, years passed, people came and went out of Anurag's life, but this person never left his side. Any problem in his life, Sid Banerjee would be coming running. There was no sort of uneasiness between them.

And then comes Anupam Sengupta, they met during their college times, precisely when Anupam got a crush on Anurag's sister, Nivedita Basu. Anurag was quite angry with him, as he had passed a chit to his sister, but all his wrath drained out when he started knowing this man. He was just like him, a possessive brother to his sister. Searching for true love, which he found in Nivedita. And then there was no going back in Anurag and Anupam's friendship.

The trio is enjoying their small trip, of a week, in this alluring place, namely called Mussoorie.

And finally, Anupam and Sid were successful to make Anurag meet a girl. There were seven days, at least one girl would fascinate him out of seven. They arranged dates for him through an app. Anurag was quite unsure but he then thought, 'What's wrong with a fling/whimsical?'

"Wake up you morons!" Anurag shouted at his best friends, who were sleeping soundly. His shout didn't affect their beauty sleep, so he opened the curtains roughly. Sid and Anupam, simultaneously, groaned and rewarded Anurag with a pillow on his face for this honorable act.

"Just go Onu, we'll meet you at breakfast and thanks for ruining our precious sleep," Anupam stood up, just to close the curtains.

Anurag sighed, took his mobile and some cash with him. He was ready in his jogging suit, a black hoodie paired along with black track pants, ready to bless the eyes of the girls of Mussoorie.

Not too far away from their hotel, there was a farmhouse. Complimenting the trees, it was made up of wood.

The voice of a girl was echoing in the whole house. "Wake up you bimbos! Every morning this happens! Mussoorie doesn't deserve you both! Go back to Kolkata," A girl shouted at the other two girls.

"Preu, you're an early bird, surprisingly as you were never like this before, but please let us sleep," pleaded a girl named Anjali.

"Fine do whatever you want to," Prerna walked with a full attitude towards the door but ended up hitting her shoulder on the door.

The two girls admonished together, "Miss Clumsy! At least see and walk," and again started to doze off.

Anjali's words were true, Prerna was never an early bird. When the sun was vertically upwards, that's when Prerna used to wake up. But a breakup turned her into an insomniac. Her long-lost love, Vikrant Sinha, betrayed her with some girl, perhaps Mishka Chaubey. She doesn’t remember the girl's name properly. But then since Vikrant left her, she went on many dates but no one attracted her.

A Bengali girl in Mussoorie since her breakup. She left everything there and flew away to this peaceful place. A job as an assistant librarian in The Mussoorie Library was giving her a good amount of money, though less, her basic needs were fulfilled.

Anjali Mukherjee, her best friend, visits Mussoorie to just meet Prerna every three months. But one cry of Prerna and she rushed to book her flight tickets to the place, regardless of how many months passed. All and all, Anjali was that person who knew Prerna, more than Prerna knew herself.

Prerna's parents let her do what she wanted, there was no pressure from their side ever. She was a privilege after all. And they always supported her life decisions. When she introduced them to Vikrant, they were more than happy, as she can get married to someone whom she knows. But when their breakup happened, her parents consoled her along with Anjali. There was no day when she didn't call them or messaged them. Her mother was quite unsure about sending her to a completely new place, but her father stayed with her for a month to just settle her down. Every day she wondered, "What great works have I done in my previous birth that I got such parents!"

And the other girl was Kirti Mukhate, her boyfriend, Rohan, also works here, as he shifted with his family. And then she met Prerna and Anjali, on a boring day, when Rohan was working. She used to just come twice a year to meet Rohan and Prerna.

Prerna took her mobile, earbuds, and money to sip her favorite 'masala chai with adrak' from a tea stall or what we call, 'chai ki tapri'.

Prerna walked out of her house after locking all the doors properly and took the keys with her, as the safety of Anjali and Kirti always comes first for her.

There is something new in the atmosphere, Prerna thought.

Just then her eyes fell on a guy, dressed in all black, earbuds plugged inside the ears. His hair danced in a wavy pattern due to the cool breeze of Mussoorie.

That's why Mussoorie is experiencing more heat today, courtesy : This guy. Prerna muttered to herself.

She was gawking at him, a very rare sight as she was now least interested in these things. Before he caught her gawking at him, she walked to her favorite 'chai ki tapri', ordered her usual chai, and sat on the wooden bench.

And then, what she didn't want, happened. The guy also came and sat for a chai.

"Bhaiya how much late? Please give me my tea, else I'll be late for my job."

"But Prerna Di, the library opens at 10 am, right?

"Please give me the tea," Prerna managed to escape the questions.

It was just so awkward for her, as the stranger was also seeing her conversation with the tea vendor.

"Bhaiya where are you from? I've seen you for the first time here."

"I came here for just a week, with my friends," the guy answered.

The guy's reply made Prerna frown. This hotness will only be here for a week? Why not forever!?

The vendor, soon, came with hot cups of tea in both hands. He served them both and walked to do his work.

"Bro, can I give a suggestion, please? If you have an interest in reading books, then surely go to Mussoorie Library. What's your name by the way?"

"Anurag, yes sure I'll visit Mussoorie Library for sure, I love reading books."

Prerna was stunned by this short conversation, she glared at the vendor, who was like a brother to her. The vendor gave her a mischievous smile, he very well knew Prerna was looking interested in this stranger, Anurag.

They both sipped their tea and were relishing the taste of it.

Anurag's POV

Ahh, Mussoorie has so much positivity! I was jogging at a low speed towards the tea stall, but I was feeling many people were staring at me. Is my face okay? Why are they staring?

I looked around and saw many girls still shamelessly eyeing me. I just smirked and went on jogging, when suddenly I felt another pair of orbs staring at me, this one felt intense. Then I saw a girl, she quickly walked to a tea stall, where I too was also going.

Is she the one who was looking at me that intensely, I guess she's!

Looks like she stays here only, but she doesn't look like a native of this place.

She was talking to the tea vendor, and I got to know her name. Prerna.

After a few minutes of admiring the place, I also gave the vendor his desired money.

"So where are we going first," Sid asked.

"Let's go to Mussoorie Library, I guess it's an awesome place," I suggested.

"Anu really? You want to read books after coming to Mussoorie!?" Anupam shook his head in disbelief.

"Fine you both go wherever you want to, I'll read books there till an hour, and then we'll meet for lunch at one in the afternoon," I announced; they both reacted with a thumbs up and irritating grin.

So how was this realistic meeting? Now-a-days I freaking hate those fairytale meetings, 'They bumped into each other even when they were paying attention', this was like any other random people's meeting!

So I hope you like the first chapter.

What do you feel about them now? How different they felt from Prologue?
