1 - The Reception
Arohi's POV
Here comes this day again. When I have to put a big fake smile on my face and send him off. He will go back again leaving me all alone. Sure there are these people here who love me and will be there with me, for me. But no one can fill his place. No one can fill the vacate he leaves behind each time he leaves me.
But that's not all. The worst part is that he can read me. He sees through me. He reads me even when I hide my sorrow by putting a big smile. I know it hurts him as much as it hurts me and I just make it worse for him each time. At least I have people but what about him? He just has Raghav. And I'm very glad for at least that.
I took a deep breath and looked out of the window of my car trying to hide my sad face from Aai who was sitting beside me. Trying my best to hide all the emotions at least from other people around me if not from him.
After all, it's Ahana's reception today. And I have to look happy for her. I took another deep breath. It's not helping. Nothing is. I can feel myself tearing up. I blinked away the tears forming in my eyes as I continued to look out of the window.
"Did you bring the present?" Baba asked tilting his head from the front seat trying to look at me.
"Yes, Baba." I said with a small smile, "You have already asked that two times." I said letting out a small laugh.
"And he will still ask it thousand times till we reach the venue," Aai said shaking her head a bit. I let out a laugh again and so did Baba.
In the next few minutes, we reached the venue. Calling it beautiful will be an understatement because it was breathtaking. I smiled at myself looking at the view in front of me. The entranceway was decorated with hanging floral strings and lights that lead to the reception area.
"Rohan surely has made grand arrangements," Baba said standing beside me. I nodded at him.
"After all, its reception of his only sister," Aai said as always with so much adoration for her son-in-law. Baba agreed to it while I just smiled again. My chest was still heavy with the thoughts not leaving my mind. Aai and Baba were walking in front of me and I was trying to contain myself as I don't want to look like a fool in front of people here. And especially, I don't want to make it worst for Ahana. Even though I know she and Abeer both understand but come on, it's their day.
"Are you ready, Arohi?" I heard Jenny from behind. I contained myself before putting my best smile as I turned to greet her.
"Yes, Jenny," I said. Jenny came hurriedly and side-hugged me tightly as her tummy wouldn't allow it otherwise.
She smiled sadly pulling away and looked at me. I guess my acting is not working this time around.
"Is it that obvious?" I asked her with a defeated smile. Jenny gave me a nod.
"You know? I can't understand you." Jenny said looking at me, "So, I'm not going to say those fake words like don't worry it's gonna be fine. He will be back in no time. Most importantly, I understand how you must be feeling because I can't... Ever..." She said with a small smile. I let out a sad laugh hearing those words.
"Thanks." I said letting out a sigh and looking down at the well-laid carpet, "For at least being truthful and not giving false opinions." I looked back at her with a genuine smile. Jenny paused for a few moments and put her hands over my shoulder.
"But I'm gonna say. I'm here for you, babe." She said in her typical Jenny tune shaking my shoulders, "Don't you even dare to feel alone and just come and talk to me... Anything and everything..." She said being bossy just like every time.
I smiled thankfully at her. She raised her eyebrows waiting for my answer.
"Yes, ma'am. I understand." I said saluting her. Jenny laughed wholeheartedly.
"Shall we?" She asked going to the side and giving me her arm to hold. I shook my head at her gesture with a small smile playing on my lips.
"Yeah!!!" I said taking her arm. Jenny started walking and stopped immediately in the middle as she turned around to face me. A mischievous smile was playing on her lips. I raised my eyebrows not knowing what to expect. But I knew some mischievous comment was up in her mind. I don't know exactly what but I know that smile.
"Oh and by the way, Arohi. You are looking sexy in that traditional saree. I doubt if Rohan will be able to leave you." She said with a big smirk and winked at me. I blinked my eyes for some time before bursting into laughter. Jenny smiled widely looking at me.
"Shut up!!!" I said pushing her a little,
"And thanks. I needed that." I said further being genuinely happy. Jenny blinked her eyes at me and smiled again.
"No worry babes." She said pulling me further with her, "I am always here."
"Where is Arjun?" I asked looking around as we reached the reception area.
The garden venue was perfectly decorated just like the entrance. Round tables were laid in front of the grand stage. There were drinks and food served on the other side. The stage was beautifully decorated with flowers and lights. Bling lights were hung making the atmosphere more romantic.
"He is gone to receive someone." She said shrugging her shoulder as we went further inside.
Ahana and Abeer haven't arrived yet but people already are pouring in. Some of them were seated at the arranged tables whereas few were at the bar area enjoying their drinks. And my dear parents have already left me and vanished somewhere in the crowd. But they know most of the people present here so I am not worried about them.
"Should we go and meet Abeer and Ahana first? They might be getting ready." I said looking at Jenny.
"Shouldn't we eat first?" Jenny said rubbing her overgrown belly. I gave her a look and she just smiled sheepishly at me.
"I am sure, Ahana must have arranged something for me and if not I'll hunt her brother down and ask him to make arrangements for me." She said walking further, "What say?"
"Amazing, Jenny. You can do anything. That I know." I said not trying to have any further arguments with her. Jenny let out a laugh as we made our way to Ahana's room.
*************
We entered Ahana's room. There were a few of her cousins and relatives along with her parents. That girl was scrolling through her phone not bothering about her surroundings. I contained my smile looking at her. Jenny moved fast and reached to where Ahana was. I followed her giving small smiles to the faces which turned to us as soon as we entered.
"Do you have anything to eat?" Jenny asked Ahana. She looked at Jenny and then at me. A big smile formed on her lips as she got up.
"Arohi..." She said hugging me tightly, "Oh my god, you are looking beautiful. My Marathi mulgi!" She said pulling back and still looking at me with a big smile. I smiled back at her reflecting her enthusiasm.
"Not more than you though," I said gently tucking her hair behind her ear. Ahana shrugged it off.
"Arohi, I was waiting for you." Sunanda aunty came with her big smile. "And you are looking beautiful." She said looking at me for a brief moment with adoration. I smiled at her as I hugged her tightly.
"Hello..." Jenny said with a big frown on her face. All of us three turned to look at her, "I am here. Why everyone is ignoring me?" Jenny said further with irritation. Sunanda aunty looked at me with a teasing smile as she went and hugged Jenny.
"Of course, you are here," Aunty said as they pulled away. "And our special one too." She placing her hand on Jenny's overgrown tummy smiling at her. A smile formed on Jenny's face and we all looked at her in adoration.
"Jenny, I do have arranged food for you," Ahana said.
"I knew you would because you love me just too much," Jenny said holding Ahana's arm and smiling slyly. Ahana rolled her eyes.
"I am doing it for the little one by the way as he or she might be hungry," Ahana said fake smiling at Jenny who returned it. I shook my head chuckling at my pair of Tom and Jerry.
"Okay everyone, just go outside and see the arrangements." Sunanda aunty shouted at the chattering cousins who just let out some groans before going out.
"No one wants to work. Just chattering all day and night." She said further being irritated. I and Jenny let out a laugh.
"Relax ma..." Ahana said hugging her from the back. I and Jenny just stood there smiling at the duo.
"I have received your special guest, Aunty. They are chilling outside with other guests." Arjun said entering the room along with Rohan and Abeer following.
Rohan and my eyes met for just a few seconds. He gave me his smile and I just stayed the same. I wanted to return it but my thoughts started occupying my head again. I just couldn't smile even when I wanted so badly.
Sunanda Aunty's voice broke my thoughts.
"Thank you, beta." Sunanda aunty said looking relieved. "I should go and meet them." She said hurrying a bit.
"Abeer and Ahana, come out soon. Guests have already arrived. Don't take any more time now." Aunty said leaving in a hurry. Abeer nodded like a good son-in-law that he is.
We all smiled looking at each other.
"Where is Rags? I haven't seen him for some time. Did he forgot that I exist?" Ahana asked as a frown formed on her beautiful face.
"Will you ever let anyone forget you, Hana?" Arjun said lazily. Ahana rolled her eyes and looked at Rohan who just smiled at her making her further irritated.
Jenny was too busy munching on her sandwich which Arjun gave her. I and Abeer chuckled. My eyes drifted to Rohan who was busy handling Ahana. My mind drifted from the surrounding and I was completely clueless about the conversation they were having. I just stood there, looking at them with my mind somewhere else.
I just know Rohan, Abeer, Arjun, and Ahana were busy chatting while Jenny joined them in between chewing.
I was just thinking about him. When his voice brought me back to reality. I looked at him absent-minded.
"Huh?" I asked looking at them cluelessly as they stared back at me.
"Sorry, I zoned out," I said smiling apologetically and looked at Jenny who gave me a smile.
"No worries, babe," Jenny said helping me out a bit. "Anyway people, we should head out before Aunty comes back in." She said changing the topic and I thanked her inwardly.
"I agree," Arjun said holding Jenny's hand as they headed out.
"It's way too boring, yaar. I don't wanna go out. Standing there and giving people fake smiles. I don't wanna do that." Ahana complained, pouting, "I don't even know most of those people out there. I don't understand why are they even here?"
"Ahana..." Rohan was trying to say something to her but she cut him in between.
"What Bhai? I'm serious. I feel like I should first ask them 'who are you' before giving them smiles. Why should I smile at some stranger?" Ahana said in one breath, complaining to her brother who happens to be the one who arranged all this.
"You are mad. Just let's go." Abeer said fixing his costume. Rohan gave him an unpleasant look which made me chuckle. These two are not ever going to change.
"But don't you think they should at least have the courtesy to introduce themselves?" Ahana asked Rohan ignoring Abeer's comment.
"Well, some does," Rohan said shrugging his shoulders. I must say he is very patient when it comes to Hana.
"Yes, but most don't." She said again to which he just let out a deep sigh and shook his head a bit in defeating manner. I contained my laugh.
"Who cares yaar, Hana. We still don't have a choice so instead of complaining let's just get over with it." Abeer said in irritated voice pulling her with hand. I looked at them smiling until I felt a hand tapping my shoulder.
I jerked a little before looking to my side.
"You okay?" Rohan asked with a worried expression.
"Yes... Of course." I said faking a big happy smile.
"I know you are not. And you know I can say that." He said without changing his expression.
"I'm sorry. I know it's always the same but it's just..." I said letting out a sigh and accepting my defeat. I wasn't looking at him anymore.
"I know. But..." Rohan said letting out a sigh before continuing, "Tell me one thing, Arohi..." He stopped for a moment making me look at him.
"Why are you wasting the current moment by worrying about tomorrow?" He asked and I felt his eyes on me. I still didn't dare to look at him.
"Shouldn't we make the most out of it?" He asked further and I looked up at him who had a small smile playing on his lips. I gave him a gentle node with a small understanding smile. Rohan smiled as he gave a quick peck on my forehead. I closed my eyes for a moment sinking the feel I got by the touch of his lips over my skin.
"Shall we then?" He asked dramatically as I let out a chuckle.
"I know, I and Hana are giving you a hard time," I said looking at him by tilting my head a bit.
Rohan shook his head dramatically.
"What to do. Poor me stuck between two girls." He said faking a sad face as I chuckled at him.
"Say that in front of Hana," I said in a challenging tone.
"Wait..! I remembered something..." He said all of a sudden looking at somewhere. I shook my head.
"Yes of course." I gave him a look which he returned with a sly smile as he rubbed the back of his neck.
Rohan brought his hands to my face. Holding them between his hands, he smiled down at me. His eyes held lot of emotions as they stared back into mine.
"What?" My voice came out lower than I expected, smile never leaving my lips. He just shook his head in response.
"I think we should go..." He nodded his head but didn't budge from his position. I rolled my eyes to which he chuckled and let go off my face.
"What was that?" I asked smiling at him. Rohan shrugged his shoulders with a smirk. I shook my head smiling widely.
We walked out of the room and went to the garden venue where the wedding reception was taking place. The place was already flooding with guests and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Rohan held my hand as we made our way through the crowd to the stage. Ahana and Abeer were already standing there. Jenny and Arjun were standing close to them and I could see Raghav and Sara have already joined them along with my dear parents who were chatting with Ahana's parents.
"Alright, just be with these people and see if Aunty needs anything. I'll be somewhere around so... Just let me know if you guys need anything." Rohan said stopping close to the stage.
I nodded my head at Rohan who gave me a smile and peck on the cheek before he vanished in the crowd to see if arrangements are okay and everything is going good. I let out a sigh missing him already as I made my way to the stage.

Rohan's POV
It was a hell of a tiring day today. I didn't have time to breathe but it was all worth it when I see those big smiles on Ahana, Aunty, and Uncle's face. I let out a deep sigh closing my eyes momentarily as I sat on one of the chairs looking around as almost everyone has left by now. Just a few of the close family members are left.
I felt some deep pain surpassing inside me as the reality hit me that tomorrow I have to go back leaving all these people behind. It's already been months since the preparations started and I got so much used to living amongst them that going back to London seems to be impossible for me now. But I guess I have no other choice left as Ben is already being impatient with me being away for so long that I couldn't afford even one more day in India unless it's needed.
I let out another frustrated sigh just when I heard the chair beside me move. I looked up to find Ahana with her ever so bright smile looking right back at me as she got seated beside me.
"Decided to ditch your husband already?" I asked with a teasing smile. The look on Ahana's face didn't change at all, in fact, it went on to become a confused one.
"It feels so weird, no?" She asked looking at me. I frowned at her not knowing what she was saying.
"What is weird?" I asked again being the one to be confused now.
"The husband thing." Ahana said smiling slyly. I rolled my eyes at her as she continued, "And no I haven't yet. Don't worry whenever I do, I will first come running to you." She finished giving me a fake smile.
"I hope that day never comes," I said putting a hand over her head momentarily and shaking it a bit. Ahana smiled a little.
"Me too." She said in a low voice before looking back at me, "So you are going back?"
"Apparently," I said nodding at her question. She frowned looking at me.
"Don't." She said pulling her eyebrows together. I let out a laugh hearing her.
"Why? What do you want me to do by staying here? You anyway won't remember me much now." I said raising my eyebrows at her.
"Shut up, Ro! You know that's never gonna happen." She said playfully hitting me on my arm, "Besides, I don't know why but just don't go. Stay here with us." She said moving her chair closer to me and holding my arm tight. I smiled a little.
"What's gotten into you now?" I asked putting my hand above her's which were wrapped around my arm.
"I don't know... It's just... I don't have to worry about basically anything when you are here. Because you take care of everything." She said not basically looking at me but she was looking at table before us. She continued, "I have someone to talk to... To irritate and..." Stopping right in the middle. I know she was trying hard to contain herself and I know why she was being reckless.
I gulped hard still holding her hand a little more tight.
"And?" I asked looking at her. Ahana didn't say anything for some time.
"And you just don't let me feel that vacate..." She said as a tear rolled down her eye which she managed to shed before she continued, "Which Aaryan left...."
I couldn't say anything. I wanted to comfort her but felt as the words were stuck in my throat. I looked around trying to blink away the tears gathering in my eyes when I heard Ahana again.
"God... What's wrong with me? I know I am being selfish or whatever and you might be hating me for saying this but it is what it is." She said letting out a laugh. A fake laugh. I took a deep breath.
"You know I can never hate you." I said in a low voice then paused for some moments before I looked at her, "Missing him?" I asked in a low voice.
"A little more..." She said with a sad smile playing on her lips.
"Come here," I said pulling her closer. She put her head over my chest while sobbing gently. I continued, "You know, he might be watching us and feeling sad, that his only sister is crying on her big day because of him." I said tilting my head to look down at her.
"But I just miss him. What can I do?" She said without moving.
"Ahana..." I said letting out a sigh, "Just cry your heart out. You will feel better." I said holding her protectively in my arms, putting my chin on her head. She didn't say anything.
"Just remember..." I said, "In the process, you are ruining your face." I finished with a small smile. Ahana moved and looked up at me with a frown.
"I still look beautiful." She said adjusting her hair. I let out a laugh.
"Of course you do," I said ruffling her hair. She smiled gently looking at me.
"I am going to miss you a lot, Bhai." Ahana said hugging me from side. I smiled holding her back.
"Promise me you will come back to meet me soon." She asked with a frown. I let out a laugh again.
"I promise." I said.
"I hope I'm not disturbing you two." Abeer said coming towards us with a smile as he sat opposite us.
"What can we do even if you are," I said with a plain face. Abeer chuckled so did Ahana.
"Well I can go back. I'm well behaved." Abeer said adjusting his shirt collar. I rolled my eyes.
"Of course. I can't even argue with that." I said with a sarcastic tone shaking my head a bit. That idiot smiled widely hearing that.
"So 'The Rohan Nanda' accepting his defeat? I'm actually winning?" He said giving me a toothy smile. I let out a sigh as I looked at Ahana beside me. She contained her laughter looking at me.
I shook my head giving her a knowing look as I looked back at the jerk.
"You actually won you, Jackass." I said giving him a plain look again, "In fact I let you for the sake of this stupid girl." I finished looking at Ahana who held my arm again and gave me a side hug.
"Stop it you two." She said looking at me and then at jackass, "Can't you guys get along for once?"
"I don't have any problem with him," Abeer said shrugging his shoulders. I rolled my eyes at him again.
I don't know why, I can never get along with him. It just seems impossible. Trust me I've tried but something about him just irritates me. He's not a bad guy at all, in fact, he's a great guy. He's a well educated, self-sufficient man, running his own business, coming from a well-cultured family, moreover he's perfect match for Hana. And it's clear that he's head over heels for her and will never let anything happen to her.
Me not getting along with him is just purely personal. I think it might be because me and Aaryan have always disliked him from the moment we first met him and now suddenly accepting him as brother-in-law and treating him like one seems hard. Also because he's married to Hana, the protective brother in me will never let me be normal with him. Well, I actually like maintaining this behavior with him so he will think twice before hurting my Hana. I know he won't, but still. It's good to maintain the this bond like this. We both are comfortable like this.
"Of course, what would you have problem with anyway," I said. Abeer just smiled looking at me and Ahana. He paused for sometime before continuing by looking at me.
"Anyway, I'm here to tell you that don't worry... I won't do anything that will hurt her. I have always respected her and have given her own space that won't change even after now or ever. I will do anything and everything to keep her happy." He finished with a small smile as he moved his gaze to Ahana who had a small smile on her face. She moved her gaze to me so did Abeer.
Waiting for me to say something. I always knew Abeer will keep Ahana happy. His love for Ahana is real. That is one of the reason I agreed. I let out a sigh and finally gave him a smile.
"Yes, you better else I'll hunt you down and kill you no matter where you hide," I said. Abeer let out a laugh.
"Yes sir." He said saluting me. I and Ahana let out a laugh.

Arohi's POV
Next morning came way too early. Well, not exactly! It was 11 AM when I woke up not finding Rohan beside me.
I remember him sleeping next to me and I don't remember him telling me if he'll be going anywhere. I don't know why exactly but I have started thinking about these small things way too much. I know he won't leave without telling me besides, his flight is at night and I have already wasted so much time.
Stupid, stupid Arohi!!!
I got up immediately and ran downstairs. The living room was empty so I made my way towards kitchen to get the biggest shock of my life. The kitchen looked a complete mess with utensils spread out on the counter, flour was all over the place, my well-arranged spice box were all messed up, water was spilled, sink was full. It was like my nightmare turning into reality. And in the middle of it all stood that man, in my apron trying to cook something I guess.
"What the hell..." Words left my mouth involuntarily as I couldn't believe what I just saw and it came out a bit too loud as Rohan turned to look at me, finally noticing my presence.
He didn't look that messy compared to the mess he have made out of my kitchen. His face had a little amount of flour sticking to the side of his cheek and the apron had flour and water spilled on them. Other than that he looked fine. In fact, he looked cute.
"Morning sleeping beauty." He said walking to me with a big smile and pecked on my cheek.
"..are you doing here?" I finished the remaining words still being in shock.
"Well, I'm cooking breakfast for us." He said with a smile and went back to the kitchen. I followed him to the counter.
"Umm... Rohan..?" I said putting my hand on my waist while leaning against the counter.
"Yes, love?" Rohan looked at me for a brief moment from whatever he was 'cooking' in the pan.
"Will you stop being cheesy?" I asked frowning at him. He just let out a soft chuckle.
"What is it?" He asked again looking at me with raised eyebrows, "Just go and sit there, Arohi. Let me do my work." He said gesturing towards dining area and then looking back in the pan.
"Are those pancakes by any chance?" I asked looking at some black thing in the pan which Rohan was trying hard to separate from pan base.
"Yes..." Rohan said still concentrating on his pan.
"Okayyy," I said containing myself from laughing hard. He is cute!
"Will you stop being sarcastic? I'm trying." Rohan said with irritation as he looked at me and then back in pan. I finally let out a laugh looking at him.
"Sorry. But Rohan you are going to leave tonight and that doesn't look eatable. Do you want me to 'try' now?" I asked looking around the mess in kitchen. But I'm gonna let it slide this time as this guy is actually trying so hard.
Besides, he won't be here tomorrow to create this mess again in my kitchen so I can bear for today. I smiled a little still looking at him.
"No. I'll make it. Go and sit." He said succeeding in putting that burnt pancake into dustbin and moving to counter again where his iPad rested. He checked something in it and moved towards the utensil in which dough was resting.
"Alright whatever you say," I said shrugging my shoulders and sat on one of the chairs facing this adorable man making breakfast for us. I rested my chin on my arm as I looked at him.
Rohan took some water and mixed it with the already prepared dough and started stirring it.
"I don't know how you guys do this. This is so fucking tough." He complained looking at me and then back in the utensil.
"Not if you are used to it," I said shrugging my shoulders as I poured water for myself.
"So you are asking me to prepare my own food?" He asked again raising his eyebrows. I let out a chuckle.
"Well, I'm just telling you the facts," I said taking a sip of water.
"I'm being just way too considerate for John," Rohan said shaking his head as he winked at me.
"Right." I said nodding at him, "You are just too much, Rohan." He let out a laugh as I shook my head in disappointment.
"Alright, tea or coffee?" He asked again as he washed his hands wiping it on a cloth.
"You can make tea?" I asked not believing him.
"Of course. What do you think of me?" Rohan asked rolling his eyes as he placed pan again on gas. And poured oil in it.
"Well, I haven't tasted one in all these years?" I said defending myself. Rohan gave me a look to which I smiled widely.
"That's because I don't like cooking much so I don't go in Kitchen much." He said not paying attention to me anymore as he got engrossed into placing the dough into pan.
"Okay. Then..." I said. "I'll still have coffee. I don't trust you." I finished.
"You have too many trust issues, Arohi," Rohan said looking closely at his pancake.
"If I have had trust issues then we wouldn't have been together in first place," I said defending myself again as I shrugged my shoulders and got up from my seat. I saw Rohan smiling a little but he didn't look at me.
"I'll go and wash up. You carry on." I said as I made my way towards my room to brush my teeth and take a shower.
"Yes, ma'am!" I heard Rohan from behind as I smiled a little to myself.
***********
It took me around 15 to 20 minutes but this boy is still behind counter.
"Rohan, move. I'll do it." I said walking towards kitchen but he gestured me to stop.
"I'm just cleaning up your kitchen. I'm already done." He said lifting plates and putting it on dining table. I gave him an impressed smile looking at the pancakes before me.
I sat on the chair pulling one plate closer to me, smiling widely looking down. They sure aren't perfect. But he made them for me is more than enough I guess. That too this unexpectedly. Even after these many years he still didn't fail to surprise me by showing some new colors of him.
"Here is your coffee." Rohan sat before me sipping his own coffee as he put my coffee mug before me.
"I'm impressed will be an understatement," I said cutting a piece and putting it in my mouth.
I noticed Rohan didn't move his gaze away from me and was trying to grab my every change in expression.
"It is really good," I said chewing. It actually was not that bad considering it's his first attempt. I was indeed surprised and impressed. Well, Rohan never leaves a chance to surprise me even with little things he do. Just like today. I never expected to wake up to my Rohan cooking me breakfast. And I'm just gonna miss him more tomorrow and these will be the moments that will keep me sane till we meet again.
"Don't lie." He said looking suspiciously at me.
"I'm not lying. Have yourself." I said gesturing to his plate. Rohan let out a sigh looking at his own plate and thought for some time before looking back at me.
"Are you sure I won't get food poisoning eating this food?" He asked with a concerned face. I rolled my eyes at him.
"You didn't think that much while offering that food to me," I said frowning at him. He shrugged his shoulders.
"You know, my fans will be really sad if anything happens to me. Besides, I have a flight to catch and a show pending in coming days. I can't afford to fall sick." He finished dramatically looking at me. I narrowed my eyes at Rohan.
"You are so mean," I said with annoyance. Rohan let out a laugh as he cut a piece of his pancake and ate it. I looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"This is actually delicious." He said chewing it as he cut another piece and ate it as well, "See, you always underestimate me, Ms. Shirke." I rolled my eyes at him as I got back into my food.
"So what do you want to do today?" He asked again taking coffee mug into his hand. I smiled looking at him.
"Umm... I don't know. Just rest. Here?" I said giving him my biggest smile.
"Okayyyy," Rohan said with uncertainty, "Are you sure?" He asked again raising his eyebrows.
"Yes," I said without wasting any minute.
"Alright." He said sipping his coffee.
*************
Rohan went upstairs to our room to pack his stuff while I offered to clean up the mess he made. No, I wasn't actually being generous. If it was any other day I would have made him clean it but today was different as the clock was ticking, I'm being reckless as well.
I don't want this time to end at all. But I don't think we have an option here.
I joined Rohan in the room when I was done with work in the kitchen.
"Are you done," I asked as I entered the room and saw him sitting with his guitar in hand.
"Yes, almost." He said putting it aside. He looked at me and sighed.
"What are you thinking?" I asked sitting close to him as I held his arm and rested my head on his shoulder, "And don't give me those sarcastic answers." I finished in a fake serious tone. Rohan chuckle looking down at me by tilting his head.
"Nothing. Just..." He sighed again as he continued, "The days ended too fast." I sat straight in my position and shifted in my seat to face him.
"They surely did. That's what I told you when you came here first. The days are gonna go by fast and you won't even know." I finished. Rohan looked at me and gave a small smile.
"Now back to routine..." I said dramatically letting out a laugh. So did Rohan.
"Who will make breakfast for me tomorrow?" I asked looking at him with a pout and side hugged him tightly, "You have John. What about me?"
Rohan chuckled again as he put his arm around me and pulled me closer to him. I smiled involuntary as he pecked on my forehead.
"I think I'm screwing you a bit too much, no?" He asked shifting in his seat and adjusting me in his arms. I smiled further shifting closer to him even when I knew there was no space left between us.
"So what next?" I asked looking up at him. He softened his grip on me and shifted to side a little.
"Next..." He said with a thoughtful face and looked at me, "As of now, I'll be going to London then to Paris the very next day."
"How cool is that," I said pouting again. Rohan let out a laugh pulling me closer to him.
"You can always join me?" He said kissing my jaw. I didn't push him and stayed there blushing and smiling uncontrollably.
"I have recordings." I said.
"Too bad." He said as he released his grip and moved to side to pick his guitar.
He gently placed it inside it's cover.
"I want to learn playing it as well." I said looking at it and then looked at Rohan.
"Let me show you a little bit then." Rohan said pulling it out again and placed on his lap.
"By the way, I wonder how you didn't learn it first." Rohan said and stopped. He didn't look at me and started tuning his guitar.
"First?" I asked cocking my eyebrow in confusion and it took me a moment to get what he said, "Oh you mean with Rahul?"
I asked raising my eyebrows but he didn't respond and kept working on his guitar.
"Come here." He said after some time still not looking at me and gesturing me to come closer to him. I don't know what happened to him. He does get mood swings but that was sudden. But I brushed that thought off my mind and did what I was told.
"He showed me once but didn't get a chance later," I said shrugging my shoulders and looked at Rohan carefully.
"No problem." He said as he finally looked at me and gave a smile.
"Here." He shifted in his seat and made space for me before him adjusting himself. I sat before him with my back against his chest. He placed the guitar on my lap as I put one of my hand on its strings over the body and other holding the top. Rohan put both of his hands on each of mine, moving closer to me, trapping me between him and his guitar. Needless to say, I loved the feeling and the warmth.
"Sorry." He whispered in a low voice closer to my ear, his breath tickling me.
"What?" I tilted my head a little to look back at him with confusion written over my face, "For what?"
"I didn't mean it that way... I mean..." He said looking down. I felt bad. He didn't do anything to feel sorry for.
"It's okay, Rohan. I didn't even feel it like that. You just think too much." I said putting a hand over his chin as I leaned my back against his chest, tilting my body a little to the side to get a better view of his face.
"I don't know. I'm not good with people, you know." He said. I smiled at him and pecked on his nose.
"Yes I know. I have known you since ages now." I said. He gave me a genuine smile and then leaned in and kissed me on my lips. I kissed him back and adjusted myself and sat straight holding his guitar in my hand.
"Alright what should I do?" I asked.
Rohan started instructing me and started playing some chords holding my hands. It felt good to be in his embrace, feeling the warmth, the tickling of his warm breath on my neck and the frequent kisses on neck, ear, cheeks or on lips. Our laughs filled the room when I made mistakes and we joked about it. The teaching session soon turn into us just having best time of our lives. We cracked lame jokes, laughed at each other, sang songs in weird voices.
Later, I hummed songs which we wrote together for our album which never came out. First because of the problems going on between us and later as we didn't get time but I have taken a promise from Rohan that if I'm gonna do that solo album with Ben then first he has to complete that duet album. Else I won't be doing anything else. And he readily agreed saying that he will get more time to spend with me that way.
I smiled a little at that thought and leaned the back of my head on his shoulder still humming the song as Rohan played the guitar with me still in between. He pecked the side of my forehead and I smiled little feeling butterflies in my stomach.
We were just being the typical teenagers in love. Madly, crazily in love. I loved that feeling, just being silly with each other and not bothering about the world at least for a while. Reality will hit us hard when we get out of this room when evening changes into night. Till then I just wanted to be close to him and live this moment while it still exists.
************
I didn't know when evening came while fooling around and, talking rubbish with him. When Raghav and Sara arrived I got to my senses that yes, it is the time now.
We ate the dinner discussing our future plans together. Adjusting our schedules and fighting childishly over the same.
Rohan made sure to say his goodbyes and get blessings from my parents and Ahana's parents last night itself as he knew he wouldn't have time today. Rohan, Raghav, and Sara left for London soon after dinner. Arjun, Abeer, Jenny and Ahana joined me to see them off to the airport.
There was media present at the airport which surprised me as it was late at night but I didn't shy away this time as there was nothing to hide. I know I love this man and there have always been rumors about the same considering our frequent visits to each other. I guess it just got confirmed now. I couldn't care less.
We waved them off a goodbye and Abeer and Ahana dropped me to my house. It felt lonely there without him anymore. I know it hasn't been even an hour now and I already miss him a lot. In the last couple of months, I was so used to seeing him often because of Hana's wedding that getting back to the old routine is gonna be tough.
But nevertheless I am good with it for now. I know I'll be traveling to see him soon enough until then people have developed too many technologies to keep him closer to me.
