Alex did not trust Mon-El.

He may be Connor and Kara's friend and he might not have any bad intentions at the moment but still she couldn't bring herself to accept him.

After all he was the renowned Prince of Daxam whose rumors had reached Earth as well. The intergalactic community was no stranger to the spoilt prince and his deeds that had often been heavily questionable such that a majority considered hum directly responsible for Daxam's demise.

So far, Alex knew two shades of Mon's personality; one that she had met and the other that she had heard of. And she trusted neither of them.

The Prince of Daxam was referred to be the worst and most difficult person one could ever encounter in the galaxies. Raised among a plethora of luxuries, he was entitled and demanding; a seductive charmer who cared none for his planet or the ideals his father held in his legacy.

His outrageous act of setting fuel to a slave revolution in Maldoria and causing chaos in the Warworld had made it to the attention of other planets as well who tried to secure themselves lest the haughty prince decided to pay them a visit and wreck everything in his power.

In that case, Lar Gand's diplomatic approach of making better relations between Daxam and the other intergalactic states had failed immensely.

Alex had heard of those rumors and so had Clark, the latter also nearly missed an encounter with Daxam's brat years ago on his trip to the decaying planet. However, years had passed since then so they had thought the prince would have met his end in the destruction of Daxam.

But a crash landing on earth had brought them to meet Mon-El, the same prince of Daxam who was stripped of everything he held dear and was forced to adapt to a planet he knew nothing about. At that moment, the Young Justice had shown faith in him that in turn made him want to change his ways and adapt the best he could. Such that he had been able to get along well with Superman too and had become a part of the YJ as well.

But while Clark had a nature of giving people second chances, Alex did not bend in her judgements so easily.

She was worried that Kara might be too empathetic and kind for Mon to manipulate easily. And even though she hadn't noticed him trying anything on her, she was still dubious.

It was very evident that he liked her but for a man who had a past like his, even slight affection towards another person could end up in a disaster. Besides Kara was already very much invested in Zach and as far as Alex knew, they would both be very happy together even if Kara had been slightly uncertain about their relationship initially.

She didn't want Mon to try and take Kara away from Zach because judging from how he had been in the past, he had always taken what he wanted and always treated people for granted.

So to put her own self at ease as well as give Mon a warning, she decided to meet him and straightforwardly get to the topic.

Meeting Mon wasn't difficult as all she had to do was go to the Kents' residence, scare Connor away and have a straight talk with the former.

She did just that, greeting Lois then went up to Connor's room. The sound of video games and laughter could be heard when she pushed open the door.

"Aw man, you got me again," Connor accepted defeat in the game but turned to see who had entered.

Mon had stiffened as usual because Alex could easily scare him away without even trying.

"Connor, your Mom's calling you," Alex stated calmly though Mon could only assume that calm was one before a storm would erupt.

"Seriously? You use this excuse every-"

"I want you out. Right now. Don't come back until I tell you to," she interrupted him and shot him a glare.

Connor was about to drag Mon away as well but her glare had hardened, making him stop, "you want only me to leave?"

"Yes. He stays. If I kicked both of you out then who else would I talk to? The walls in your room?"

"Ah..."

His eyes flickered from Alex to Mon and then back to Alex. He didn't know what Mon had done but he could sense that scary Alex mode was up and Mon would be the one to suffer.

"See you soon buddy," he patted his shoulder before stepping out, "and if Alex tries to kill you, just call for help."

Mon flinched at that remark because no wonder the elder woman looked ready to kill with that serious look on her face.

"I'm not here to kill. Now just leave already before I change my mind and do something to kill you instead."

"Yikes, no need for that. Bye..."

The door shut leaving only Alex and Mon in the room. Mon was both awkward and tense because he didn't know what to expect.

Alex was her calm but intimidating self, sitting down on the chair across from him.

"So... What do you have to talk to me about?" Mon asked finally, getting slightly anxious at her behavior.

"I have to talk to you about Kara and the reason why you should stay away from her," she remarked flatly, noting how his expressions changed from surprised to a bit shocked and then worried.

"I don't understand..."

Her eyes flickered slightly, "I've noticed you've been quite secretive since the past few days. And I feel like it's something related to Kara."

He looked alarmed and that deepened Alex's suspicions.

"She's my sister and if you mean her any harm then I'll make you pay regardless that you're the prince of Daxam who has had a reputation of causing chaos."

Being addressed by his former title jabbed at him cruelly and he felt that his assumption of Alex being aware of his past reputation had been correct.

"I have no intentions of harming Kara," he spoke up, "true, I have been a bit disturbed since the past few days but that's a personal matter."

Alex's stern gaze hadn't faltered, "you better not do anything that puts her in a difficult spot. She values you as a friend so I'm not going to ask you to leave from her life. But I want you to know your limits and not cross them."

He understood exactly what limits she was referring to so he nodded, "I can promise you I will do nothing to trouble any of you. I get the feeling you know that I've admired Kara much more than a friend should. But I know she's happy with Zach and... I don't want to interfere."

Alex might not be fully convinced but for the time being, she let the matter at rest. "Alright then. I'll be watching you."
