time skip three days, P.o.v Asriel-

Asriel sighed as he sat down, his feet sore from the constant dance practice he had with his mom and grandma. "You know, having sore feet won't help me dance better" Asriel told them as he rested, wiping sweat off his brow before he took a sip from his water bottle. "Don't worry; you are good enough to impress Brittney" his grandma told him, smiling at her grandson as she to sat down. "But was three days of practice really necessary?" Asriel asked her, slightly regretting asking her to help him learn how to dance. "No offence dear, but you are rather hopeless when it comes to taking the lead in a dance" Tommie told him, causing Asriel to sigh. "I know, that's why I need to learn how to take the lead" he replied.

"Asriel, please come in here!" Lisa called from her room, summoning him to her side. "Coming mom" Asriel called back before he got up. "I'll go start on dinner; I'll make your favorite" Tommie told him as she got up, causing Asriel to nod; Tommie's cooking is legendary. As he walked into his mothers room, he was surprised to see her sitting on her bed, a square piece of cloth in her paw, a smile on her face. "Yes ma'am?" Asriel asked her as he sat down on a chair. "I wanted to give you this; it is your fathers favorite tie. He wants you to wear it as a gift from him to you" Lisa told him as she lifted the item, the square unfolding into a purple/black tie. "Thank you mom, but I don't know how to tie a tie" Asriel replied, his mom shaking her head. "Don't worry; I will teach you" Lisa told him as she handed him the tie, telling him to take care of it. "I will" Asriel told her, holding the soft cloth in his paws gently.

"Now, are you still going with Brittney on your date?" Lisa asked her son. "Yes ma'am; I will be walking to her house at eight" Asriel replied, jolting when he saw the room clock read 7:45. "Sorry mom, but I gotta go take a shower and get dressed!" Asriel told her before he gave her a hug, running out of the room in a great hurry.

-P.o.v Brittney-

Brittney sat in her living room, examining her reflection to make sure she looked good for Asriel; the lucario had asked her out during class. 'I hope he likes what I am wearing; it took me forever to figure out what to wear!' Brittney thought to herself as she looked over herself critically. A sapphire blue dress complimented her pearl necklace, her hand bag by her side. "You look fine dear" Sarah told her reassuringly as she moved the mirror away. "I hope so; I want to look spectacular for Asriel" Brittney replied. "Don't worry dear; you will" Sarah replied as she brushed Brittney's fur for her.

As Brittney was about to reply, they both heard a knock at the door. "That's him! Brittney, go sit over there!" Sarah told her daughter. As Brittney moved to the far chair, Sarah went to answer the door. 'Oh my god. I hope I look good. I can't take it! Just let him walk over here already!' Brittney thought, fretting with the edge of her dress as she waited. "Oh, you can go wait in the living room dear" Sarah said, causing Brittney to tense up. 'Okay Britt; relax. Just relax' Brittney thought taking a deep breath, letting it out slowly as a lucario walked into the room.

'Oh. My. Arceus' was the thought that went through Brittney's mind when she saw Asriel, little did she know that was what Asriel was thinking. Asriel was wearing a suit, a rich purple/black tie complimenting his blue fur and scarlet eyes. "H-hello" Brittney said as she stood up, her hand purse in her paws in a tight grip. "H-hey" Asriel replied, his eyes wide with shock and awe. "Come along Brittney; I am driving you two around" Sarah told her, waving for her daughter to come to her. Brittney moved almost on auto pilot, so stunned by how Asriel looked. "You look beautiful" Asriel told her, smiling as she took his paw. "Thank you Asriel; you look handsome" Brittney replied, meaning every word. "T-thanks" Asriel stuttered back, helping her into the car before climbing in on the other side. "Where to first Asriel: point A or B?" Sarah asked Brittney's date. "Point A if you please" Asriel replied, looking at Brittney with a smile.

-P.o.v change Omnipresent-

"You two have fun!" Sarah told them as she stopped in front of the restaurant, both of the love birds getting out of the Honda civic. "Yes mom; I will call you when we are done" Brittney replied, laughing slightly before the delphox drove off. When Brittney looked towards the restaurant, she stopped shortly, surprised. "Yeah; this is the best place to eat for a date in my opinion. Come on Brittney; I have a reservation for us set aside" Asriel told Brittney, leading her to the restaurant. Taking his arm, Brittney followed him, a smile on her face as they walked in together.

"Hello sir and ma'am. Party for two?" the receptionist, a galade, asked them as she grabbed a pair of menus. "Yes, for Asriel" the lucario replied, making the hosts start. "Oh, I am sorry Asriel; I did not recognize you there. That has to be the first time I have ever seen you wear a suit" the galade told him. "Yeah, this is a first for me too Alice" Asriel told her as she led them to the left side of the restaurant. "I take it this is your crush?" Alice asked Asriel, causing him and Brittney to blush deeply. "Y-yeah" Asriel replied as Alice stopped by a square table. " I will be your hostes for the night. Is there any thing I can get you two to drink?" Alice asked them as they sat down and looked at the menus. "Yes, can I have a vanilla Italian soda?" Asriel asked, the hosts nodded as she wrote it down. "I will have a water with lemon" Brittney ordered, her usual drink where ever she goes. "You drinks will be right out" Alice told them before she moved to the kitchen to retrieve their beverages.

"So, is this the big plan?" Brittney asked Asriel when the galade left. "Just a small part of it" Asriel replied, smiling at his love. 'I hope she likes the dessert' Asriel thought to himself as he browsed through the menu despite already knowing what he wanted. "Oh, there is more?" Brittney asked him, smiling slightly. 'Wow, he really is going above and beyond what I was expecting' Brittney thought to herself as Alice came back. "Do you need a few minutes or are you ready?" Alice asked them. After Asriel asked her, Brittney ordered a chicken pot pie. "I will have the same" Asriel told Alice, whom nodded as she wrote it down. "Alrighty then; your food will be out soon" Alice told them before she disappeared to the kitchen.

-Time skip, after movie-

"Can you please stop here?" Asriel asked Sarah, the delphox doing so by a worn path into the forest. "What are we doing?" Brittney asked Asriel when he waved for her to get out of the car. "Just follow me" Asriel told her, extending one paw for here while charging up an aura sphere in the other, creating a ball of blue light for them to see as they walked. The walk was short, no more than two minutes when Brittney and Asriel reached a open field. "Brittney, can you lay down in the center field with me? I have something to ask you..." Asriel requested. Confused by the sudden request, Brittney did what he asked carefully, he laying down by her. With aura charged in both paws, beams shot up from them. At first the beams just drew designs, but as more time went by, the designs began to piece together, Brittney's breath catching when she saw what he wrote in the sky.

Brittney, will you go to prom with me?

"Oh Asriel..." Brittney breathed, tears in her eyes as she sat up, looking at Asriel with wide, bright eyes. "Yes?" Asriel asked, looking at her with hope. Brittney threw herself at him suddenly, catching Asriel by surprise as he fell backwards. "I would love to go to prom with you!" Brittney cried, causing Asriel himself start to cry a little as he held her close, vowing in his mind to never let her go.
