Day 16: Your First Kiss
My parents, and I don't remember it cuz I was like zero.
This is really stupid because I already did my rant on overrated romantic love and I have nothing to write about. There are actually multiple versions of the thirty day writing challenge though, so I looked up another one and took the prompt from number 16 on that one, which happened to be "something you miss". So.
Something I miss is my pink notebook with the brown labrador puppy on the front. I lost in fifth grade and I have never found it. Which stinks, because that notebook had my first real story in it. It was something I wrote in third grade, and it was sixty pages long (which pretty much added up to thirteen pages when I typed it up since I wrote using every other line and big spaces and all my words were super big). The story itself was called The Choxi Emergency (long story), and it was about five kids and a dog who were secret agents, and the dog gets kidnapped and the kids have to rescue him. And then in fourth grade Gummy (refer to best friend page for code names) read over and edited it for me during recess.
The five kids were actually supposed to be me, my brother, and three of my best friends at the time. It's kind of sad really, because I'm not really friends with two of them anymore. One of them was my practically best friend in third grade. Her mom and mine were friends so we saw each other a lot outside of school as well. After third grade, we kind of drifted apart. I've actually seen her a couple times since going to middle school, and we spent one spring break together a couple years ago because we go to the same place over break. We are still friendly and everything. We just aren't really friends anymore.
My other friend was a boy who was friends with me and Gummy in kindergarten. We became friends because of a rock (again, long story). The three of us were inseparable until about second grade, where we had this big fight. It was pretty stupid, and we all got over it, but we didn't hang out as much after that. By fifth grade, we were just friendly acquaintances.
Out of the five people in that story, the only two who I'm still close with are my brother (because he's my brother) and Gummy. That's why if I had to pick one thing that I miss, it would be my pink notebook. I miss it. A lot.
