So yesterday night I made my first ever batch of blue cake and half-dozen cupcakes

(I am perfectly aware there's one cupcake missing, I ate one)

Not gonna lie,it did smell differently than it normally does and it was probably because of the food coloring 😅 I used some vanilla flavoring though,so that probably helped somewhat.

It honestly didn't taste any differently either (or maybe my taste buds were getting used to the taste,who knows),but I think the vanilla flavoring also helped. I didn't expect the food coloring to make the mixture taste slightly bitter.

Apparently my mom decided to get salty about this and said:

"Who told you cake is blue?"

I didn't say anything, but my internal response was:

"Who told you it was okay to judge people for every little thing they do?"

I think I know where my saltiness came from

Apparently it's a family trait :)

In retrospect,it was probably a dumb idea to make this when I had an assignment due in math...

But then again it's cake that's blue and I couldn't wait until next weekend to do this
