Video Call
Martyn's Perspective-
Martyn opened his laptop and fixed his hair before calling his brother.
"Hey!" Cooper smiled as he took the Facetime call.
Martyn smiled, seeing his brother laying on a bed in his dorm room.
"How've you been little bro? Back at school?"
"Yeah, it's alright." Martyn shrugs.
Cooper chuckles, "Try starting a month earlier."
"Hey, you're graduating this year, so you get to leave early."
"True." Cooper shrugs, "What year are you in again? Junior, right?"
Martyn sighs, "I wish, but I got held back that year in middle school, remember?"
"Ohh, yeah that's right." Cooper chuckles.
Martyn grumbled and Cooper smirked.
"Hey, you learned your lesson after dealing with mom's wrath."
"Ugh don't remind me, I swear I thought she turned into Satan that day."
Cooper laughed, "Man I wish I was there to see it."
Martyn rolls his eyes.
"Anyway, how is it up there?" Martyn asked.
"Fine, nothing interesting has really happened."
"How are you and Micheal doing?"
"Good, we were able to keep our friendship. He says he thinks he may be aromantic."
Martyn hums and nods, "Cool, how are you holding up?"
Cooper shrugs, "Eh, it took me by surprise but it's whatever. Besides, there's this cute girl who volunteers at the library that I've been talking with."
Martyn smirked, "Ooooo!"
Cooper laughs, blushing a bit.
"Shut up, man."
"You brought it up!"
Cooper chuckles.
"Oh- and Nick says hi." Martyn said.
"Is he still working at that arcade?"
"Yep! He said he's gonna quit next year to work at his uncle's mechanic shop."
"Ooo how fancy." Cooper joked and Martyn laughed.
"So you still go to the arcade? Do you beat up other kids?" Cooper asked.
"Nah, I just did my own thing."
"You still obsessed with DDR?"
"It's fun, alright! And plus, it's the only way mom won't make me sign up for a sport cause it does technically make me get exercise."
Cooper chuckles, "Well, good luck this year. Definitely sign up for some clubs or school events, they can be really fun."
Martyn hums, "I'll think about it." He shrugs.
"Good enough for me." Cooper smiles, "Let mom and dad know I say hi, have fun tomorrow."
"Thanks, you too."
Cooper winks before ending the call.
Martyn stares at his computer a bit longer, seeing his reflection in the camera.
"More clubs, alright. Easy, I can just sign up for whatever clubs my friends are doing."
