HIMARI WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED with how well off the village was, considering that they were in the middle of a war or two.
everyone parted like the red sea as they saw the four sharing two horses, riding through the main road, as sukuna — who was still in his bunny form — rested in top of the woman's head.
"should we rest for a moment, lady hima—"
"nope, nope, nope!! you may refer to me as my lord, lord hima, or hima", himari interrupted, to which itadori had slapped a hand against his mouth, nodding.
the four have traveled through the night without any rest, well, rumi fell asleep on itadori's back as she held onto the boy's waist, meanwhile himari leaned back and slept against tōji's chest.
the two didn't wake up until the sun had risen, to which tōji had scoffed at how heavy the red-haired woman was.
"then...shall we rest, my lord? because for your information, tōji-senpai and I didn't sleep the entire night", itadori yawned, to which himari had sighed.
"okay okay!! let's stop at that food stall over there. there's tables and stuff", himari smiled, to which the four had gotten off their horses, tying the reins close by so that no one would even attempt to steal them.
himari held sukuna, as she fed him a nikuman that she had ordered.
the woman nearly squealed at how cute the demon bunny looked, nibbling on his food, as his nose wrinkled ever so slightly.
"e-excuse me, but here's the tea that you all ordere—EEK!!"
the woman had accidentally tipped over the tea cups as sukuna had hopped across the table to steal one more nikuman, surprising the stall owner.
"OH MY LORD, I'M SO SO SORRY!! I HOPE IT DIDN'T BURN TOO MUCH!", the woman apologized, seemingly on the verge of tears, as she gently dabbed himari's arm with a cloth.
"oh, no worries! the tea was just warm, so it's really fin—"
the emerald eyed woman then halted in her sentence as she noticed the woman's gaze on tōji, who was staring into space.
himari then cleared her throat, snapping the lady out of her trance as she hastily went back to the counter to get another tea set.
"himar—I-I mean hima, is something the matter?", rumi asked, making the woman just shrug.
"I think...never mind. maybe we should start asking around about amaterasu. I mean, she is the supposed golden child right?"
rumi nodded, meanwhile bunny sukuna and itadori were fighting over a steamed bun.
"okay, so let's not be too suspicious and—"
"hey! do you know of the sun goddess amaterasu?", tōji bluntly asked, making himari facepalm.
the stall owner immediately nodded, as she placed the cups in front of the four.
"amaterasu's the sun goddess! I actually have a shrine of her in my house, if you'd like to—"
"actually, we're good! thank you", himari interrupted, smiling, as she patted tōji's shoulder, making him raise a brow.
"huh? but didn't you want to know about—"
"I said it's fine", himari repeated, glaring at the woman, as she possessively wrapped her arms around tōji's torso, making the man even more confused, as the woman suddenly covered her mouth with her hand.
"oh!! I-I'm sorry!! I didn't know that you two were..."
himari suddenly remembered that she was disguised as a male, making her immediately let go as she slammed her hands on the table, standing up.
"NO, WAIT! I—"
"i-it's okay!! no need to explain; I understand! please, enjoy your meal", the woman bowed, as she hastily left, making himari continue to stand in disbelief.
itadori and rumi glanced at each other, snickering.
"way to go, my lord", itadori teased, making himari flick the boy's forehead.
"shut up! I'll just go and find someone else to ask", the woman huffed, sitting back down, as tōji didn't understand what this was all about.
sukuna then hopped back into himari's arms, letting the girl ruffle his fur, as his bunny ears drooped in relaxation.
"then who are you going to—"
"moshi, moshi~ guess who's here", a playful voice questioned, as a man covered himari's eyes, making sukuna lowly growl.
"hmm...I don't know~ but I'm hoping it's getō suguru", himari bluntly replied, making gojō gasp.
"and to think that I brought you good news! I suppose that I'll just leave and let you—"
"NOOO!! GOJŌ-SAMA, I'M SORRY!! YOU'RE THE GREATEST OF THEM ALL!! PLEASE STAY", himari whined, pouting as she glanced up at the white-haired male.
getō — who was beside gojō — softly snickered as gojō sighed, brushing through his white locks with a proud grin.
"I suppose I could...only if you—"
"say please? call you a god? do you have a superior complex?", himari asked, making getō only snicker even louder.
gojō was not amused.
"I'm leavi—"
"OKAY, OKAY, DAMN! I was just joking! please tell me what advice you have for me, my good lord", himari said, slightly dipping her head.
gojō scoffed as he pulled out a piece of paper, handing it to himari.
"eh? how did gojō-senpai and getō-senpai find us anyways?", itadori asked, to which gojō had awkwardly started whistling.
"satoru thought himari-san's speech was quite bold, so he decided to hel—"
"NO I DIDN'T! I just wanted to see how bad himari-chan's going to fail", gojō stated, huffing.
"tch. tsundere type behavior", the woman lowly muttered, making everyone perk up.
"what's tsundere?"
himari just waved it off, as she continued reading the little note that gojō had brought.
"where'd you even get this information? it looks like something you got off of some sketchy website..."
"excuse you! it's from lady yoshiteru herself!", gojō retorted, making himari even more confused.
"huh? but why would the shogunate's concubine want to help me?"
itadori just shrugged.
"maybe she's tired of sharing her love, like me too sis, me too", himari sighed, shaking her head in pity.
"s-sis? are you sisters with lady yoshiteru?", getō asked, confused.
"no, it's—never mind. okay, I don't know how she got the information, but I guess we're going to ama no yasukawara", himari stated.
"oh, the cave where amaterasu locked herself in, because of susanoo's deplorable behavior", getō randomly commented, making himari glance up.
"okay, human encyclopedia".
