four words kept on flooding my mind earlier;

were you avoiding me?

when i came to fetch you this morning, mrs. park said you already left earlier. whenever i tried to approach you in class, you always went to your circle of friends and conversed with them. when i was about to sit in front of you eating alone at lunch, you stood up, took your tray, and walked away.

i don't know if there was anything i did wrong. i tried to remember every single thing i did, but as far as i know, we were doing fine the other day.

there was nothing i did wrong, so why were you avoiding me?

i tried to brush it off and thought that maybe you just didn't notice my presence.

but there was never a day like that.

just after our last period ended, i walked up to you and blocked you by the door. i just wanted to talk and ask if anything was wrong.

but you looked at me with those stone-cold eyes and walked past me.

it was the first time you ignored me.
