Drago squints his eyes from the ice, having not noticed Toothless and (D/N) rush to their friends rescue, the man wears a hideous smirk.

He turns back with a laugh, his hair falling into his eyes.

"(Y/N)!!" (M/N) screams, her and
Valka rushing down. "No!" Valka gasps, jumping from the Nadder and slamming on the ice.

(M/N) breathes heavily, jumping from the Nadder and grabbing (Y/N)'s sword, attempting to chip at the ice with it as Valka helplessly slams her fists against it.

Both mothers look down with ragged breaths, their eyes stinging as tears threatened to fall.

...

Gobber and Astrid rush over with the others, Astrid backing away a step with a gasp as tears form in her eyes. She sucks in a breath, her teeth clenched as she tugged on her necklace.

A faint blue glow starts to form within the ice, slowly spreading outwards as Astrid and Gobber notice with confusion.

"No..." Valka whimpers, leaning her forehead on the ice. (M/N) looks up, gasping at the light and pulling her friend away with a grunt.

"Move!" (M/N) yells, noticing the ice crackling and breaking away. Valka gasps, her eyes wide as she stables herself, gripping her friends hand as the two quickly rush away.

Drago's eyes widen as the ice glows even brighter, making him grunt as he attempts to back away.

The ice explodes, making people cry out and exclaim, the dust quickly cleared, revealing the two dragons covering Hiccup and (Y/N).

(D/N) had his wing over the two, the large scale of his limb making it easier to protect them better. Toothless stood over them, shaking his head while breathing heavily.

Hiccup held (Y/N) close to his chest, (Y/N)'s hands resting against the side of his head
and around his waist.

They both look up with shaky breaths, sighing in relief when they lock eyes. (Y/N) cups his cheeks, inspecting him for injuries before placing two small kisses over his closed eyes.

They both calm themselves down, looking ahead they gasp at the sight of their two saviors.

Toothless was glowing a brilliant blue, the color starting faint from the tip of his head but becoming more prominent as it travels down his back and to the tip of his tail.

(D/N)'s fur was pulled up, the tip of his wings  a darkish grey and blending in with his original (F/C) fur. His eyes were dilated, his pupils almost fully blown as they nearly reached the edges of his eyes.

What confused (Y/N) more was the red dots that spread across his outer eye, it seemed that he developed even more unusual birth marks. He now had an identical spread of blue dots underneath his eyes.

The (H/C) teen stared at her dragon in confusion and slight awe, but chose to ignore it as Hiccup steadily rose to his feet, offering her his hand, she rose with a deep sigh.

The brown haired boy placed a gentle peck to her forehead, gently rubbing his thumb against the girl's prosthetic, a silent gesture to let her know that he was there for her.

Toothless looks to (D/N), barking gently to his friend, the Howl roars, indicating that he was okay and facing forward a with a stern face, Toothless snorts, purring softly as he looks over the two teens.

Hiccup nods, (Y/N) smiling and setting her hand on his nose as he nuzzles into it for a moment before turning back with a snarl.

(D/N) looks back to (Y/N), nuzzling his nose into her stomach before looking back at
Toothless.

The Fury rumbles lowly, jerking his head for (D/N) to follow as he leaps up onto a spike of ice, snarling and roaring with his wings slightly opened and his back arched.

(D/N) follows, landing on the ice at Toothless' side and facing the Alpha silently. The Alpha roars back, Toothless snorting to (D/N), who backs away with a nod.

"Toothless is challenging the Alpha!" Hiccup shouts, Valka and (M/N) quickly joining the two. (Y/N) tilts her head as she watches (D/N), the dragon seeming to just stare at the Alpha, not moving an inch.

"What's (D/N) doing?" (M/N) questions in confusion, watching as he bows to Toothless.
"He's standing by his friends side," Valka gasps before smiling, "As his ceannard! To protect you!"

"Ceannard?" (Y/N) murmurs, turning to Valka with a raised brow, "Commander.." the women clarified, the teen nodding with a smile at the word.

Toothless fires a plasma ball, striking the left side of the Bewilderbeast's face before doing the same to the other side, not giving the Bewilderbeast a chance to recover.

He fires another blast, leaping up and back as the Bewilderbeast destroys some of the ice Toothless was on.

Toothless barks at (D/N), making him roar back with as he turns and jumps to a pillar behind him, blocking the Alpha's view of his friends below.

Toothless fires another blast, making the Bewilderbeast screech in pain and back away as he starts to lose his control on the others.

From above, Stormfly shakes her head with a low chitter, her eyes widening as she sees Toothless.

Vritra chirps softly, shaking her head before chirping happily when she sees (M/N) down below.

Toothless fires another blast, making the Bewilderbeast back away another step, then another, then another as he roars in pain.

Toothless leaps back to (D/N)'s side, facing ahead and roaring to the other dragons. They obey, happily flying to Toothless' side as the Bewilderbeast roars in retaliation.

"No, no, no, no!" Drago screams, grabbing his staff and using it to pull himself on the Bewilderbeast's tusk. "Fight back! Fight! Fight!"

The Bewilderbeast rumbles, unable to take control of the dragons. "What's the matter with you?!" Drago shouts, panting in anger as he turns back to Berk.

The Vikings all line up side by side, ready to fight while facing Drago with the dragons above them.

Hiccup and (Y/N), now on the backs of their dragons, leap forward, Toothless slightly above and (D/N) at his side.

"Now do you get it?" Hiccup yells, Toothless huffing lightly as he stands tall. "This is what it is to earn a dragon's loyalty!"

"You've lost, Drago." (Y/N) shakes her head as Drago growls angrily. "Now get out!"

(D/N) snorts in agreement, the Bewilderbeast glaring between him and Toothless. "Never!" Drago screams, shaking his head.

"Come on!" He commands, the Bewilderbeast stepping forward. Toothless snarls, roaring over to (D/N). He nods, turning to the dragons and roaring loudly, who all listen and gather fire in their mouths.

Toothless fires a blast at the Bewilderbeast,
(D/N) doing the same as Drago cries out before gasping when more and more blasts were fired.

Skullcrusher fires blasts, Cloudjumper firing another at the Bewilderbeast along with Grump.

(Y/N) gasps with a smile, him grinning back as they look back at the dragons on their side.
Their attacks were relentless, every dragon on Berk attacking the false Alpha as he backs away.

Drago screams, grunting as he avoids the blasts and hides behind the Bewilderbeast's spikes.

"Fight!!"

Toothless stands tall, closely watching the Bewilderbeast before rumbling softly to (D/N), who snorts before looking at Drago. He fires a blast, striking Drago's prosthetic arm off his body as Drago yells.

"That's for (F/N) (L/N)!!" (Y/N) yells, patting the Howls neck as he happily rumbles in response. Hiccup nods, his face stern as he watches the prosthetic clatter and fall into the ocean.

The Bewilderbeast rises slowly, the attacks from the dragons stopping as he does this.
Toothless looks at (D/N), nodding before snarling up at the Bewilderbeast.

Hiccup sets his hand on Toothless' head, looking up at the dragon as (Y/N) watches Drago on the Bewilderbeast with a glare.

The Bewilderbeast roars loudly, charging forward as the two dragons prepare plasma balls.

(D/N) fires first, hitting just above his eye, blinding him as Toothless fires, striking the Bewilderbeast's right tusk.

The dragon roars in pain, rising up and shaking his head as his tusk snaps off, falling to the ground.

He tries to roar one last time, cut off by Toothless roaring and overpowering him before finishing with a snort.

The Bewilderbeast whimpers softly, backing away as he bows while nervously looking at the new Alpha.

"The Alpha and his ceannard...protect them all." Hiccup says with a smirk, making Drago's eyes widen as he gasps.

Drago yells as the Bewilderbeast dives into the ocean, taking him down with him. Both (Y/N) and Hiccup watch with mixed expression, the boy with a frown, guilty he couldn't have gotten through to the mad man.

And the girl with an unreadable one, her lips were pulled into a thin line, her brows furrowed as a tear fell from her eye and landed on her prosthetic.

"Good riddance.."
