𝖝𝖝𝖎𝖎. Forks, Washington
𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐘 𝐓𝐖𝐎:
Forks, Washington
A WEEK.
They have officially moved and got settled in Forks, Washington, the heart of the Olympic Peninsula, for a week.
A day before they finished setting up the house for any human visitors, Carlisle started searching the internet. He'd found an amateur genealogist named Alma Young working out of the Makah Reservation.
Carlisle pretended to be another family history enthusiast. He'd asked about any descendants of Ephraim Black who might still live in the area, and Mrs. Young had been excited to give Carlisle the good news.
Ephraim's grandson and great-grandchildren all lived in La Push, just down the coast. She didn't mind giving Carlisle the phone number.
The woman was sure that Billy Black would be thrilled to hear from his very distant cousin.
He called Billy Black for a tribe council meeting for renewing, signing, and introducing Thalia Elie Bennet to the treaty that they have made with his late grandfather, Ephraim Black
Billy Black was not fond of their return. To be honest, he had no history with them, only the tales of his grandfather, as passed to him by his father.
He did not believe that the Cullens were as harmless as they presented themselves to be. However, he feared for his son, Jacob Black.
Despite Billy's anguish at their return, he gave the Cullens permission to stay in Forks.
Then the chief of the town, Charlie Swan, welcomed the Cullen family with open arms despite their odd behavior and peculiar features, much to his best friend Billy Black's dismay.
Rumors spread exceedingly well in a small town. The family has already called in a meeting for their new cover-up story.
Carlisle and Thalia are to be husband and wife, making Thalia Elie Bennet Thalia Elie Bennet-Cullen.
For the sake of their story, the family decided they needed to be known as a married couple for the locals to believe that they had adopted six children, well, five, since Rosalie's wife was away and wouldn't be coming home for some time.
Esme and Christopher will be portrayed as the 'aunt and uncle' of the family, and Esme will still be Carlisle's 'sister.'
Christopher has been lucky enough to keep his last name, Davis, for another reason that Esme chose to keep her maiden name instead of her husband's last name.
The fake transcripts had been transferred to Forks High School.
The adoptive children's backstory didn't change. Jasper Whitlock will have Rosalie Lillian's last name, making him Jasper Hale. They are to be recognized as siblings since they do share the same hair color and physical attributes.
Carlisle and Thalia adopted them when they were eight years old because their parents died in their early years, and they are Thalia's 'biologically' related niece and nephew.
The reason why they have adopted so many children is that Thalia is barren, so she and Carlisle can't have children of their own. It is partly true.
Since Thalia woke up from her transition, Carlisle explained the basics of being one of them. Thalia isn't disappointed since, from the beginning, she didn't want a child of her own.
Alice, Edward, and Emmett would keep the Cullen name. Not much will be changed, only that Alice, Edward, and Jasper will be freshmen, while Emmett and Rosalie will be Sophomores.
Carlisle Cullen will be working at Forks Community Hospital as the local surgeon. He called in a week early before they officially moved to Forks that he would be applying for the surgeon position in the hospital, and he was easily given the job since not many doctors willingly choose Forks Community Hospital for the reason of how low the salary rate is. However, Carlisle didn't mind.
Thalia Elie Bennet-Cullen, applied for the Junior English teacher position at Forks High School, sharing the same position with a teacher named Mr. Mason, who isn't enjoying sharing his teaching post with Thalia. However, he didn't make an effort to argue.
Esme Cullen and Christopher Davis will be accepting design projects, construction projects, alterations, and redevelopments for structures since they want to be known as an architect and engineer in this town.
Maybe a year in this town, Esme would like to be a kindergarten teacher to pursue her love for teaching children.
"I think it's about time I give this to you," Carlisle says while walking towards Thalia, who is currently sitting crossed-legged on the floor. In front of her is a box of books that haven't been arranged on the shelves.
"Give what?" Thalia asks curiously as she looks up at him with furrowed eyebrows.
Carlisle then takes a velvet box out of his pocket and carefully opens it, revealing a Cullen crest set of earrings.
Thalia places both of her hands on her mouth, a quiet yet audible gasp escaping her plump lips as she quickly stands up from her place. In a flash, she is in front of Carlisle.
Looking at him, silently asking permission to touch the earrings, Carlisle smiles and nods as he hands her the velvet box.
"These are gorgeous, Carlisle," Thalia says as her fingers gently brush the Cullen crest surrounded by diamonds.
She takes it in her hand and places it on her ear, walking towards the mirror. A soft smile crosses her face, and she says, "Thank you."
Carlisle walks towards her and stops from behind and places a light kiss on her left shoulder blade, and says, "No need to thank me, you're a Cullen now."
"Not officially. I'll wait when she's ready to get married," Carlisle thoughts to himself.
Thalia smiles and turns around to face him and places a soft skin on his pale lips as Carlisle smiles from the kiss and wraps his arms around her small waist.
Pulling away, their foreheads touching, they smile at each other and lightly laughs.
"Everything goes back to normal, well, as normal as it goes for us," Thalia tells him as Carlisle nods and says, "You'll be away from death in this town. A small population wouldn't cause much death."
"Natural deaths still aren't an exception for my ancestors," Thalia points with a sigh, and Carlisle places his hand on the back of her neck, his thumb caressing her cold skin.
"If that happens, I'll always be by your side when you come into a trance," He admits, and Thalia gives him a thankful smile.
"I'm glad I have you."
"Well, love, I'm glad I have you too."
Author's Note:
➵This is just a quick transition to Forks.
➵Officially, the last chapter for the "Pre-Twilight" part of this story. I thought I summed this part to 20 chapters. Apparently, I made 2 more.
