The Planning
THALIA CAREFULLY SITS UP and looks around the unfamiliar room, and is seemingly confused. She can see everything clearer than before, smell better than before, and hear better than before.
Looking out the window, she sees the dust particles from the sun shining through the walls. She hears the traffic jam and angry people yelling at each other. Then her crimson red eyes land on the blonde man.
Thalia smiles as she runs towards him and hugs him tightly. Carlisle coughs but hugs her nonetheless.
Snaking his arms on her small waist, he spins her around, and the woman laughs angelically like belle chimes.
"You're going to break me if you go any tighter," Carlisle says as he carefully puts her down and pulls away. Observing her, he smiles and places a hand on her cheek as Thalia leans on his touch.
Thalia opens her mouth. Then suddenly, a hand went to her throat. Carlisle apologetically looks at her and walks towards the cabinet, pouring Thalia a glass of animal blood.
Expecting her to go into a frenzy, the woman is strangely calm, handing her the glass as she slowly drinks the liquid, the red fluid coating her tongue.
The taste is the most delicious thing she has ever tasted. With a contented sigh escaping her tainted red lips, she hands him back the glass.
"You chose to stay," Carlisle says while he places the now empty glass on the table, as Thalia gives him a genuine smile.
Wrapping her now cold hand on his arms, she guides him to sit down on the bed.
"I did. I couldn't leave grandma, you, or this family," Thalia answers as she looks intently at Carlisle, and the man just smiles in relief, "And mom and dad didn't want me to stay," she continues.
"They were there?" Carlisle asks curiously. Celia didn't tell him anything about meeting the loved ones that have passed, the only information she told him is Thalia would only choose to stay or come back, and then he thought that maybe Celia willingly decided to leave it out and not worsen his worry.
Thalia nods as she smiles happily. "I finally got to talk to them. I've been wishing for that to happen since I was a kid," she tells him while placing her head on his shoulder as Carlisle wraps his arms around her small waist.
"What did they say?"
"Minimal threats here and there, well, more from dad than mom, that if you hurt me, he'll make a deal with the ancestors and hunt you until the end of your immortal life," Thalia answers casually as Carlisle looks at her with wide eyes then he shakes his head a chuckle escaping his lips.
"We wouldn't have a problem with that. I'll never hurt you, Thalia," Carlisle tells her while placing a peck on her forehead.
"I know," Thalia answers as a minute of comfortable silence invaded them then Thalia remembered something.
She removes her head from his shoulder and looks at him intently. "What happened to Liam?"
Carlisle purses his lips and looks away from her, and says, "The less you know, the better."
Thalia stays silent then she places a hand on his cheek, gently making him look at her with a look of understanding in her doe eyes.
"It's over," Thalia mutters while she pulls away, looking at him intently, crimson red eyes connecting to his amber eyes.
"It is my love," Carlisle says with a smile as he places a hand on her cheek as the woman leans into his touch.
"Then I can finally do this," Thalia says as she pulls the blonde man into a kiss, a blissful kiss that can send a person into the feeling of cloud nine, this is what Carlisle Cullen has been waiting for.
To feel her plump lips in his as the blonde man puts his hand on the back of her neck, deepening the kiss, never wanting this wonderful moment to end.
Thalia pulls away, seemingly breathless, as their foreheads touch. The woman snakes her arms around Carlisle's neck as he wraps his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to his body, looking at each other intently.
It is too early for them to say those three words as they have only known each other for months, but they know and feel what they truly feel for one another, and that is enough for the two of them.
"Your grandmother and the others are waiting," Carlisle tells her as she smiles and nods as they go towards the door heading to the leaving room.

AFTER THE CAUTIOUS MEETING BETWEEN CELIA AND THALIA, the family concludes that Thalia has no problem with her bloodlust, and what Jasper told Carlisle is true, that Thalia's humanity will overcome her desire for blood.
After everyone is finally settled, another family meeting they have been doing for decades has begun.
"We need to move away from Manhattan," Carlisle says while looking at his family.
Alice squeals and skips towards him and says, "I had a vision when Thalia was in transition. I know where we'll move," she announces.
Carlisle looks at Edward, who shakes his head, indicating that Alice blocked him when she was having one of her visions. Clearly, Alice wants this particular vision for herself.
"You'll like where we'll move. Trust me on this, Carlisle," Alice says as she looks at the others, and of course, they always trust Alice on these kinds of decisions.
Carlisle looks at her curiously and asks, "Where will we be moving Alice?"
"To Forks, Washington!" Alice exclaims excitedly, and the faces of the others brighten as Alice announces where they are moving next.
They have wanted to move to Forks for a long time now. It's the perfect place for them, a dreary, rainy place where the sun barely shines, and the best part is a large forest where they could hunt freely.
"A town?" Thalia asks, and the family nods, and she smiles and continues, "I need a break from loud cities. A town would be good."
"You can barely see that town on a map. It would be a good place to start over after everything that happened here," Christopher agrees with the pixie's idea, but they have one problem in mind.
Edward looks at him and nods. "The shifters, we have to renew and sign the treaty again."
Celia, who has been observing silently, then asks, "A place with a shifter? That town would be away from nomadic vampires. Carlisle?" She wants Thalia to have a quiet immortal life without any death crossing her path.
"They are called the Quileute tribe, they reside in La Push, the treaty consists of not crossing their lands, no feeding on the locals, and no change or else the treaty forfeits," Carlisle explains.
Rosalie interferes. "They smell disgusting, like a wet dog that rolled in the dirt," Emmett snorts at her rude remark but nonetheless agrees with her, and so does the rest of the family, well, except for Esme.
"They protect the town from-" Esme stops as she carefully thinks on what word she should use, and then she continues, "From our kind," informing Celia as the old woman nods, agreeing to Alice's idea of moving to this town.
"Well, that's easy since we feed on animals, and they won't have a problem when it comes to going to their lands," Thalia says, and Carlisle nods as he claps his hands together and says, "So we agree that we move to Forks?"
"Finally, do you know how hard it is to go shopping here? It's always so sunny," Rosalie complains. After this 'family meeting,' she's going to inform her wife that they are relocating back to Forks.
In Rosalie's opinion, Forks, Washington, is one of the best location they have ever moved to. The first one is in Denali, Alaska, where their so-called 'cousins' resides.
"Yes, Carlisle, we agree to go back to Forks after sixty-seven years," Christopher says as he wraps his arm around Esme's shoulder.
The caramel-haired woman just playfully slaps his chest, and Christopher looks at her adoringly.
"Great, now we have to start High School instead of College," Emmett groans, and the rest of the family, who isn't eligible to pass as an adult, groans.
They forgot about that part of going through high school again. For what seems like the 100th time, the five adults laugh.
Carlisle will be a doctor again at Forks community hospital. Thalia will apply for an English teaching position at Forks High School, and Esme will stay at home with Christopher and will occasionally accept plans and designs for houses.
"So that settles. Everyone go pack. We will be moving tomorrow morning," Carlisle tells them, and others just proceed to head towards their respective rooms, leaving Celia, Alice, Thalia, and Carlisle in the living room.
"You don't need to pack anything. I'll probably donate their clothes to charity and buy some new ones. I already arranged your apartment's paper, don't worry, we'll just buy you new clothes and whatever you need," Alice says excitedly while holding Thalia's hand.
The brunette woman just looks at her grandmother, and Celia just shakes her head and smiles.
No one ever argues with Alice when it comes to these things. That much she knew when she was waiting for three days for Thalia to wake up.
"Don't worry about the money. I handle the stock market. If I'm being honest, we never run out," Alice reassures with a nod as Thalia reluctantly agrees with her plan.
Alice squeals as she skips towards her room with a big smile on her face, and Thalia just laughs and looks at Celia and says, "Will you be going with us, grammy?"
Celia smiles and shakes her head in disagreement. "I won't. I'll be heading to New Jersey tomorrow."
Thalia pouts and walks towards her and hugs her lightly as Carlisle leaves the living room to give them some privacy.
Thalia says, "I'll visit, okay?" Celia just nods, and then Thalia remembers something and whispers to Celia's ear, and the old woman just tightens her hug, a tear falling down her cheeks as she pulls away from Thalia and places a kiss on her temple.
"I'll always be here for you, Thalia. Never doubt that."
