𝖛𝖎. Dinner Date

𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐈𝐗:
Dinner Date

AFTER THE SMALL TALK THAT THEY MADE while they were on their way to the restaurant that Carlisle had decided on, Thalia thought at first, well, as any other small talk, awkward, but it wasn't. Thalia completely felt comfortable around Carlisle. He's an easy-going, well-rounded, and amiable person. He held a warm and hospitable aura around him, earning him a good brownie point from Thalia.

It's safe to say that everything is going smoothly.

They arrived at the restaurant, and Carlisle opened the door for her, and she thought chivalry was dead. Oh, how Carlisle Cullen is earning her respect more and more.

The server guided them to their seats and gave them the menu, and recommended them the restaurant's specialties. Thalia decided to order a light dinner meal, a garlic butter-baked salmon with crispy potatoes and asparagus on the side. Salmon is Thalia's absolute favorite. While Carlisle ordered tomato basil penne pasta and a bottle of wine.

If Carlisle Cullen is being honest with Thalia, he knows nothing about ordering food in a restaurant. After centuries of drinking animal blood, he didn't know what human food tasted anymore, so he asked Alice what to order on their date so he didn't look like a fool to Thalia. He was also extremely anxious when Thalia called him for dinner, which he already knew because of Alice, but still, he couldn't exactly control his nerves, so Alice and Esme assured him that it would go well.

"I think this date is extremely going well, but I don't want to jinx it," Thalia says while smiling at Carlisle, and she thinks that this should go really well. She's intrigued and attracted to Carlisle Cullen at the same time.

"I can say the same, and I'm glad that you called me," Carlisle tells her with his amazing smile revealing his adorable dimples that Thalia has seen twice, and she already loves it.

"I'm glad that my impulsive self did. I've been really nervous about calling you. I haven't been on the dating game for a while now," Thalia confesses while the server serves them their food. It smelled incredible, and she took the first bite of her food and said, "This tastes delicious."

Carlisle Cullen looks down at his plate and mentally sighs. He's going to deal with throwing up the food at home after this date is over. Then when he took the first bite, it didn't taste like anything at all, well, except for dirt. He remembers that Thalia is looking at him and changes his expression from a grimace to a fake delight that he hopes Thalia wouldn't notice, and she did not. "Food here is great saw the critiques' review on an article."

"So, to make this dinner date a lot more interesting, how about we do 20 questions?" Thalia asks while taking a sip of wine, and Carlisle chuckles and agrees. He wants to know everything about her. "Who goes first?" Thalia questions.

"Ladies first"

"Okay, basic questions first, when is your birthday?"

Carlisle Cullen went silent for a while. He knew what year he was born but completely forgot the date and month, and he never bothered to recall, so he just made up a date, "April 09, 1976," making sure that the year matched with his human age, 26.

Thalia's smile widens, and she says, "November 29, 1976". You're a few months older than me."

Well, a lot older, he could be old as her ancestors, Carlisle thought to himself, "What do you do for a living?" Of course, he already knew the answer, but he'll ask for the game's sake.

"I'm a professor at Borough of Manhattan Community College, and I teach literature. How about you?"

"I'm a surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital."

Carlisle Cullen never ceases to amaze Thalia Bennet, he's intelligent, handsome, and also a gentleman, this dinner date just gets better and better, in her honest opinion.

As they continued to ask each other questions, they learned the little things about each other, about their family, which Thalia told him about her parents and that her grandmother is the only family that is in her life, and how Carlisle explained that his younger sister Esme and her husband Christopher adopted six children, Edward Cullen, Rosalie Hale, and her wife, and her twin, Jasper Hale and lastly Alice Cullen and Emmett Cullen, while Thalia thought that Alice is Carlisle's daughter, she is his adopted niece, but the only thing that catches her eye is the similarities of their features, but she didn't question him and kept those questions to herself.

Carlisle didn't want to overwhelm her with the information he would tell her about his family, that Alice saw more vampires joining their family in the future, including Jasper's fiancé, Alice's, and Emmet's future lovers, so he left it out.

While the past relationship topic didn't really last long since Thalia didn't want to talk about her ex-boyfriend, which in her opinion, her ex, doesn't really deserve to be a topic of conversation since her ex, in her words, is a total douchebag, Carlisle knew that Thalia wouldn't tell him everything so he just listened.

Carlisle told her that he had only one serious relationship (a century ago), and it was before Alice joined their family. What originally happened was that Carlisle had a relationship with a nomad, and he wanted to settle down, but she didn't want to stay in one location. She wanted to travel the world. In other words, she didn't want to, the made-up story is that they both wanted the opposite things, and that didn't really stray off from what originally happened.

They finished dinner, and Carlisle decided that they should go for a walk. Thalia feels safe around Carlisle, and he's good company. Thalia thinks that she will be looking for Carlisle's presence if they separate ways, and she doesn't want this to be a one-time thing, "I really enjoyed dinner. Maybe we can do this again?"

Carlisle smiled at her. He really enjoyed being with her after being on the sideline for so long. He silently scolded himself while they were at the restaurant, saying that he should have done this sooner and that maybe they could've been together now, but there was no room for regrets now.

"Whatever fits your schedule, you can call me anytime," Carlisle tells her while he opens his car door for her, and the drive on the way to her apartment is just comfortable silence.

Opening her apartment door, Thalia turns around to face Carlisle and says, "Have a good night, Carlisle," she leans toward him and gives him a peck on the cheek. Carlisle is sure if he was human, he would've blushed, and the goofy grin on his face is showing, and Thalia thought he was cute.

"I'll see you again? I hope"

"Sure you will, love."

Author's Note:
As you have read, this is another filler chapter.

➵And I gave hints of the Cullens and Hales's future lovers!! As I announced in an author's note at one of Querencia's chapters and the reminders, I planned on doing this series with a new partner for every Cullen, well except for Edward, I'm never going to make an Edward Cullen fanfiction (I apologize)

➵Honestly, I'm excited to write the twilight chapters just because I include some scenes from the book, especially the midnight sun since we need the Cullens and Hales perspective of the story, not Bella's.

➵ I finally figured out this story, so just be patient with me in my future chapters!! Lovelots♥️
