I promise

Roman tugged at Virgil's hair, making three small sections to braid. He blew his hair out of the way when a soft breeze blew against his face and moved a strand of his hair into his vision.
Virgil gave a small laugh, reaching his hand up to tuck the loose strand behind Roman's ear.
"Stay still, I won't be able to do anything if you move." Roman whispered, though there was no venom in his words.
Virgil hummed, closing his eyes and positioning himself more comfortably, after all his head was in Roman's lap and it did act like a very nice pillow.
He half opened an eye, only to see Roman concentrated on his task : "You finished yet?" he asked.
Roman huffed. "No. And I won't do anything properly if you won't let me!"
Virgil got up halfway, resting his weight on his elbows. "Works for me."
Roman sent him a look.
Virgil shook his head fondly, sitting up properly in front of Roman. He threw his arms around his shoulders, while Roman's settled on his hips, like they were meant to be there.
Virgil nuzzled their noses, before pressing their lips together for a kiss. A strange feeling settled in his stomach, like there were hundreds of butterflies fighting for their lives there.
The kiss didn't last for more than a few seconds, but it was enough for Virgil's mind to go blank and leave him without any thoughts but Roman.
There were a few seconds where they didn't talk, only sharing each other's company, foreheads pressed together.
"Roman, promise me, whatever happens, you won't leave."
Roman replied with a pressing a quick kiss to his cheek then to his lips.
"I promise"
