he did (not) regret it

a/n : yes this is just for kissing practice and yes i am doing this instead of the next chapter of tfimh(tcoyh) and yes this took half an hour to write and it isn't proofread so don't expect a masterpiece

heads up, there's implied sexual content

The empty whiskey bottle spun around and around, making Virgil dizzy just from the sight of it. He begrudgingly sat down at Patton's pleas ("C'mon! it'll be fun!"), already regretting it.

There was a cry of : "Spin the bottle" and Virgil already felt the dread building up inside him. Kissing random people didn't seem like an enjoyable way to spend the night. But he couldn't back down now, set rules.

"I have a proposal!" a voice in the crowd shouted. The boy was already halfway drunk and his words were slurred. The cheers around him urged him to continue. "If two people that have wayyy too much sexual tension between them end up together, it's seven minutes in heaven for those lucky peeps!"

There were laughs of agreement from around the circle. Virgil groaned. He hoped that when he ended up with somebody the crowd wouldn't decide they had some sort of unspoken attraction between them.

And of course it was decided that Virgil obviously had to be the first person to spin the bottle. Unfortunately for him, the head of the bottle was pointed straight to the person next to him. Virgil groaned, turning away from him, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"Awwe, scared, emo nightmare~" Virgil felt Roman's hot breath against the back of his neck, his nose almost nuzzling his nape. He was way too close for his liking

"Not at all, princey" he shot back, the sharp tone in his voice making Roman chuckle. He hadn't even realized that he had sat down next to him.

There were some whistles in the circle that Virgil had simply batted away, not realizing they were meant for him and Roman.

"Why, are /you/ scared?"

Roman puffed up his chest slightly, a teasing smile on his lips that Virgil just wanted to smack off.

"Why would I be? I am the reigning champion after all."

Virgil scoffed : "There's no such thing as a champion at spin the bottle."

"Oh, isn't there?" he smirked. "Wouldn't you like to find out."

Roman brought two fingers under Virgil's chin, bringing his face so that they were at eye level and lips hovering above each other.

"Not particularly" Virgil's voice was barely a whisper, his stomach twisting in anticipation.

To get this over with, not any other reason.

Roman's hot breath hit Virgil's cheeks and right as their lips were supposed to touch, a chorus of no-s resonated around the room.

Roman huffed, pulling away, looking slightly disappointed. Confusion bubbled up in Virgil's mind. Why would he be disappointed?

"Too much tension"

"Yeah, but if we lock them in a separate room we won't know if they kissed or not."

The hums of agreement made Virgil bury his face in his hands. This was bad. This was really bad.

Virgil looked over at Roman through his hands. He had a dark blush sprayed across his cheeks, but it could easily be blamed on the alcohol in his system. He looked annoyed, but slightly excited? Okay, that was suspicious.

"Can we just get this over with?" Roman asked, tapping his fingers on his knee.

The boy from before sighed mockingly. "Yeah, just kiss already."

Virgil was starting to get annoyed and impatient. Maybe it was the drinks kicking in that made him do something so impulsive.

He was going to regret this.

He grabbed Roman's collar, dragging him until their lips met. Virgil counted the short noise of surprise that passed his lips as a personal win. But then he started kissing back.

Oh.

Oh.

Roman did know what he was doing.

He wrapped an arm around Virgil's waist, pulling him closer, so that there was no space between them, chests pressed together. His lips were so soft and so warm, every place they touched felt like it was on fire.

The nagging voice in his head told him not to kiss his rival with so much passion, but how could he not, when Roman was replying with double amount of interest. His heart did a weird flip in his chest when Roman pulled him closer by his hips, so now he was nearly in his lap.

Virgil thought he would permanently loose all ability to think when Roman bit on his lower lip, the tips of his fingers disappearing under Virgil's shirt. He took a second to clear his mind, shuffling closer. Roman was trying to tease him, huh? Well, two can play that game.

The fingers tangled in Roman's hair gripped the locks, tugging at them. He gasped, giving Virgil a chance to deepen the kiss. Virgil tugged again, tipping Roman's head down so they separated for a second, but quickly enough captured his lips again.

It finally hit Virgil that they were not alone, that they were in a room full of people who were probably staring at them and thinking really bad things. He pulled away with a soft noise and Roman whined - whined - at the loss of his lips.

Virgil cleared his throat, drumming his fingers along Roman's shoulder. The realization seemed to finally come to him.

"Oh" he whispered and his voice was so wrecked and raw. Virgil wondered what he was like if such a well put together person sounded like that.

"Yeah" he echoed.

The room exploded. There were several "PAY UP"-s, "I FUCKING KNEW IT!"-s and "ARE YOU GUYS DATING?"-s around the circle. Virgil groaned, hiding his face in his hands for the second him that night, shaking his head. This was far worse than he had imagined.

A second wave of cheers resonated across the wave of teenagers when Roman pulled Virgil closer running a hand up and down his back, in a way of comfort. He sighed, relaxing slightly.

Roman brushed his lips against Virgil's ear, making him tense slightly. After realizing he wasn't in danger, he went limp again, leaning into Roman's chest hesitantly.

"Want to get out of here?" Roman whispered, his voice still so vulnerable and hoarse, but this time it was in the tone he usually flirted in. Despite himself, Virgil nodded, letting himself be picked up bridal style and carried out of the room.

Roman thoroughly ignored all the protests and walked as fast as he could've with Virgil in his arms. After they were out, he carefully put Virgil down, letting him regain his balance. Virgil leaned against the wall, his shaky feet not managing to keep him up by themselves.

"Look, I know neither of us like the other very much" Roman started, voice barely above a whisper as he slotted an arm around Virgil's waist, the other hand cupping his cheek "But, tell me that kiss didn't mean anything to you and I'll leave you alone."

Virgil's gaze flickered between Roman's eyes and lips, the urge to have them against his skin nearly unbearable "And if I don't say that?"

Something sparked in Roman's eyes as he moved closer. "Then I'll do it again"

Virgil had barely whispered an "okay" before their lips were pressed together again, and this time Roman's hand was in his hair and the other held him pressed tightly against his chest. Virgil wrapped his arms around his neck, pulling him as close as possible.

He felt his back hit the cold stone wall. He frowned at that, biting down harshly on Roman's bottom lip and tugging his hair, proud of the quiet moan that fell from his mouth. He was so sensitive.

An idea popped into Virgil's head, just as they separated for air.

A little teasing never hurt anyone, right?

Grabbing Roman's wrists, Virgil flipped them around, pinning him to the wall.

"Is that okay?" he asked, out of breath, gaze going in between Roman's unmoving wrists and his eyes. He waited a second, blinking hard as if he hadn't quite recovered. Roman seemed confused for a second, as if wondering why Virgil had asked that.

"Yeah." he nodded. " Now shut up and-"

"Kiss you?" Virgil raised an eyebrow, as Roman huffed. "I was actually planning on something else~"

Roman threw his head back with a whine, careful not to hurt himself. The tone of Virgil's voice was doing something to him. "Go on then" he breathed out.

Virgil didn't hesitate to press his lips against Roman's neck, soaking up all the whimpers and breathy gasps that came from him. Those sounds were starting to become one of his favourite things in he world.

Okay, so maybe he didn't regret it.
