Velvetcloud was curled up in her nest in the medicine den, sighing. Her mind was filled with worry and fear about her sister's eyes. She had so many questions. 'Is my sister insane? Is she being possessed? What is wrong with her? What is wrong with Flowertail?'

Of course, Velvetcloud tried not to worry all the time. Silverfern and Lionwing were always asking her to watch Flutterkit, Cloverkit, and Frostkit. They were about three moons old now and they were adorable. Shimmersky already retired from her duty as the main medicine cat to become an elder to Velvetcloud's dismay. 

Even though they live in different dens, Velvetcloud would always go there to ask her former mentor for advice. She was even thinking that she could have one of Silverfern's and Lionwing's kits to be her new apprentice and was kind of leaning towards Frostkit since he liked to visit her and had such an interest in herbs. 

Suddenly, Velvetcloud heard rustling from inside ThunderCan's camp, disrupting her thoughts. Then was creeping lower into the sky and it was extremely dark. She trotted out of the medicine den, quietly not to wake anyone and to her great surprise she saw none other than Flowertail. She seemed to be talking to her...shadow? Her eyes were pitch blank again and it made Velvetcloud's blood turn to ice. 

She watched Flowertail sneak inside the nursery and few minutes later she was herding Silverfern and Lionwing's tired and sleepy kits out of camp. 'WHAT IS SHE DOING?! Ok stay clam Velvetcloud, don't confront her yet. Follow her to see what's going on,' she told herself as she stalked her sister and the kits.  

Velvetcloud was crawling through the undergrowth and bushes trying to peek through the leaves every once in a while to make she was still following them. 

"Where are we going? I want to go home!" she heard Flutterkit whine and Cloverkit and Frostkit agreed. "Shut up you filthy foxes. We're going somewhere fun." Flowertail growled. 

Soon enough, they arrived to a small clearing near the Great Sycamore. Velvetcloud crouched in a large bush where she saw a perfect view of the other felines.

Flowertail was stalking in a circle around them, hissing, her eyes still black and red. "I want revenge. I was supposed to be Lionwing's mate! You're mother is my worst enemy and you want to know the perfect payback? DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?" She was practically yelling at the kits, who were shivering with pure terror in their eyes. "Killing SIlverfern isn't enough. But, killing her offsprings? Now thats a perfect idea!" She yowled as she lunged at crying Frostkit, pinning him and sinking her teeth into his throat. 

The white mottled tom's scream was instantly cut off and Flowertail through his body aside and Velvetcloud had to cover her loud gasp and sobs because she knew the small kit was dead.

Flowertail turned to Cloverkit kit next, grinning, her mouth dripping with Frostkit's blood. She screamed even louder when Flowertail flipped hover on her back, held her body down with her back paw and scratched her eyes with her long curved claws. Then the tan and red she-cat was approaching Flutterkit.

Velvetcloud had to do something. But she couldn't fight Flowertail by herself. So couldn't bear to see what Flowertail would with the gold kit. 'I can run back to camp! I can get Thornstar and Eagleflame and everyone!' she thought with fear and she backed up to go get help when she stepped on a twig. 

SNAP

Flowertail's head instantly shot up and she spun on her heels, growling. Black eyes then caught amber eyes filled with horror. Velvetcloud could only do one thing. Run.

She was sprinting through the bracken, faster than she has ever ran in her life. She looked behind her and saw nothing but a light red morning glow glinting of the leaves and puddles. Velvetcloud slow down a bit. 'Maybe I lost-' And then something fast with great force ran into her side. 

Flowertail rammed her sister into a tree and Velvetcloud slid to the ground, shuddering, her hind legs and back fur raised and she cowered from her.

Flowertail grinned to Velvetcloud's shock. "So you saw what I did. Wasn't it just entertaining? Well I sure thought it was." Velvetcloud was shaking with anger. "I'll tell the whole clan what you did!" she meowed with rage.

"Well then I'll just have to kill you right now. Do you want that?" her sister asked casually. 

Velvetcloud was instantly filled with terror and it felt like her paws are were stuck to the ground. She shook her head vigorously. 

Flowertail got closer and whispered in her ear. "Then it will be our little secret."

The next day was an awful day for ThunderClan. The dawn patrol found Frostkit dead and Cloverkit greatly injured. Luckily, Flutterkit was untouched. Silverfern and Lionwing were sobbing over Frostkit's body as the Clan had a vigil for him. 

Velvetcloud was taking care of Cloverkit. She told the Clan that Cloverkit would live but she would be permanently blinded for the rest of her life. 

The medicine cat was probably in the worst shape. Guilt and pain and fear was constantly taking over her throughout the day and she would jump at every single sound. Then, at about sun high, she couldn't take it anymore. She stormed into the leader's den were Thornstar was eating his prey. "Thornstar I know who killed Frostkit and blinded Cloverkit!" 

The brown tom got up onto his paws immediately. "Velvetcloud you are my most loyal and trusted medicine cat. Who committed these crimes against the Warrior Code?" he said seriously. Velvetcloud looked straight into his eyes and said with no emotion in her voice, "My sister."

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

Cats were gathering around and Velvetcloud could spot Flowertail leaning against a rock by the thorn tunnel.

"Velvetcloud has revealed to us that there is a murderer among us. This warrior was the very same cat that killed Silverfern's kit, Frostkit," Thornstar meowed, keeping his mew calm and steady. 

"It was Flowertail!" Velvetcloud yowled. Flutterkit cried and agreed. Cloverkit, who was supported by Eagleflame and Velvetcloud nodded weakly with soft moss pressed against her eyes. 

ThunderClan gasped. "NO how could you?! HOW COULD YOU?!?" Silverfern screamed at Flowertail, who was no longer leaning against the rock and glaring at the Clan. Silverfern tried to leap at the tan she with tears flooding down her face but Spruceclaw and Fawnpelt were holding her back. Lionwing stumbled back with shock and disbelief. 

"Due to Flowertail breaking our strong Warrior Code by committing murder and harming a kit, she is exiled from ThunderClan! Cats of ThunderClan, chase her out." 

Swiftstripe hissed and started to stalk towards Flowertail along with Sunnybird, Wolffang (her own mentor), Brindleheart, and even Snowpaw and Deerpaw.

Flowertail hissed but it was instantly replaced with a wide grin, her sky blue eyes filled with glee as she gazed at her former clanmates and her gaze lingered the longest on Silverfern, Velvetcloud, and Lionwing. 

"You may think you're done with me. That the Clan is safe. But like every villain, we're never really gone. Trust me ThunderClan I'll be back for more. So I recommend you watch your back."

And before any cat could lay a claw on her, she darted through the thorn tunnel, her tan and red pelt whisking out of sight.

That was a wild chapter wasn't it? Even I was having a real roller coaster of emotions writing this!
