Chapter 1 - Silverpaw
Β Β Β Silverpaw was holding on for dear life.
She was dangling above her doom and she couldn't bare to look at the awfully sharp rocks and brambles below.
"L-Lionpaw help me!" she pleaded the golden apprentice the was a tail length away.
Lionpaw stood frozen and looked as frightened as Silverpaw was.
But the grass was too slick for her claws to grasp on and she couldn't do it any longer.
Her paw slipped and she shrieked as she felt herself plummet.
STARCLAN SAVE ME! she cried in her mind.
She didn't have time to cry and suddenly she felt a sharp prick as thorns pierced her pelt.
As Silverpaw crashed through the brambles, she ran into hard stone and it crumbled as she rammed into it.
She fell into a tunnel and her right shoulder slammed into the solid rock below her.
Silverpaw heard a sickening crack and her shoulder exploded with pain.
The tabby yelped and almost lost conscious for a moment.
She laid there not able to move.
"Someone help me...." she moaned as loud as she could.
Her surroundings were fading and Silverpaw felt like she couldn't breathe.
"No! I haven't quit yet and I never will!" she said weakly, staggering to her paws.
Blood was gushing from her right shoulder and she limped.
"All I have to do is fine my way out," Silverpaw told herself, trying to stay confident.
As she wandered mindlessly in the suffocating dark, the pretty tabby saw a flash of sunlight.
Silverpaw perked up and started to run but instantly fell.
She shook herself off and speed-walked to where she thought she saw daylight.
I'm going back home! Lionpaw and Fawnpaw and everyone will be so happy! And I'll be made a warri- her thoughts stopped abruptly when she realized that the sunlight was coming from a crack in the stone and it was reflecting off a small stream of water.
Silverpaw cried.
When she cried, she felt dizzy and Silverpaw noticed that her shoulder was bleeding even worse.
"I can't do it," she whispered as she collapsed.
Her breaths quickened as blood pooled around her.
She screeched one last time hoping someone would come for her.
I'm so sorry Lionpaw, Fawnpaw, Swiftstripe, and my family...IΒ couldn't survive.
Her vison blurred and the last thing she saw was a hint of red fur rushing towards her body.
Then all her thoughts, the sound, and the pain disappeared in pitch black.
