Yay, another one that has to be re-written -__-

It was only a half hour later when they stepped back out into the busy streets underground market. Dawn had enjoyed eating at the restaurant, and she was pretty sure Pomegranate had as well.

Suddenly, the rectangle of glass in Dawn's claws came to life. Dawn yelped and nearly dropped it. It was glowing a bright purple, and it was getting warm. Only then did she realize that she'd been holding the Looking Glass the entire time.

"Leave The Underground market," a blank voice commanded.

"Who is that?" Dawn asked, glancing around. Not a single dragon even looked up from whatever they were doing at the moment.

"It's the Looking Glass," Beetle explained. "It'll instruct us on where to go to find your sister."

"Leave The Underground market," the voice said again.

"We're going, we're going, so hold your horses," Dawn grumbled.

Their track through the tunnels was bleak and dull. They were just as cold, wet, and narrow as before. What made it even worse was that the instructions from The Looking Glass were not always the clearest.Β

Dawn and the rest of the group stopped at a fork in the tunnels.Β

"Do you go this way?" Dawn asked, pointing to the right.

Pomegranate eyed the doorway hesitantly. "I... Think so?"

Dawn glanced down at the Looking Glass for help. "Go down the right passageway

"The looking glass never lies," Beatle said with a helpless shrug.

"Fine," Dawn said. She didn't like the tunnel. It was too... Dark? Suspicious? She wasn't sure.

They had been maneuvering through the tunnels for hours, creating at a snail's pace, getting used to the blank voice. It usually had to repeat its instructions a few times, because none of them trusted that they had heard correctly the first time.

They entered the complex and turned right, before stopping and waiting for further instructions. "Keep walking."Β

Dawn frowned. "Ugg, will we ever get there?"Β

Pomegranate shrugged. "I don't know, would you like for me to hold the Looking Glass for a time?"Β

Dawn nodded, relieved, and handed the small rectangle of glass to the red dragon next to her. She put on a brave face and continued walking forward, following Pomegranate. She didn't really like holding the Looking Glass, it had heated up in the hours they'd been walking through the tunnels, and it had been hurting her hands to hold.Β Β

The tunnel was oddly straight, not doing anything like turning and twisting. Eternity, there weren't even any tunnels branching off of it! However, the tunnel was slowly getting narrower, spiking a new type of fear in Dawn. What if they got stuck?

"You are here."

Dawn began to breathe heavily.

This was it. Here they were. But... Where were they?

They were standing in a narrow doorway, the room beyond looked completely alien. It was dimly lit, the only light source coming from a strange circle of large, purple stones in the center, positioned around a large pit.

It was hidden by strange crackling coils of dark purple electricity. The whole room was circular, but it was cluttered with crates and bags overflowing with what looked like small black rocks. Piles of gemstones and gold jewelry were everywhere the black rocks weren't, and Dawn noted that the black rocks looked like obsidian.Β

Dawn carefully moved over a pile of cut gemstones as they made their way into the room. "What is this place?" She asked. It was hard to navigate through the room, it was so cluttered.

"A cult?" Pomegranate suggested, stepping up to the circle of stones.

"Haha, very funny," Dawn said dryly.

"No, honestly," she said. She paused, leaning down and picking something up. "Hey, look at this."Β

Dawn peered at the item in her claws. It was a small disc of gold with what looked like a RainWing carved in the center with a piece of obsidian set into its eyesocket. Dawn frowned. She'd seen that symbol, what was it doing down here?Β

Pomegranate shrugged at her silent question, dropped the disc, and stood up.

Β In her arms, Orange stirred, reaching curiously towards the purple light crackling in between the stones in front of her.

"NO!" Dawn screamed.

There was a crackling, snapping sound, and Orange was gone. Just disappeared, gone into thin air.

Without thinking, Dawn threw herself into the light after her.
