Yes, this chapter didn't originally exist. I added it because I felt we needed to see more of the underground market. you could probably skip this chapter if you want because it isn't really important to the plot, but it is kind of fluffy and nice, so...

The three dragons (plus one dragonet) stopped in front of the restaurant. It was labeled SeeFood. "What's that restaurant's name supposed to mean?" Dawn asked. 

"Isn't it supposed to be 'S-e-a-f-o-o-d'?" Pomegranate asked. 

"No, it's supposed to be See Food. Like, if you 'see' food you want to eat it," Beetle explained. 

Dawn nodded. "That's a good pun," she said. 

Pomegranate groaned. "Good, but kind of cheesy." 

Beetle nodded and stepped inside the building. Dawn followed, and then Pomegranate. She was holding onto Orange tightly, but as soon as the dragonet got inside and smelled all the food, she started to squirm like crazy.

"Ah, stay still!" Pomegranate yelped. 

Beetle marched up to the front desk with purpose. "Table for four," she asked the dragon at the front desk. She raised an eyebrow. 

"That'll be right up. Do you have a reservation?" 

"No," Beetle said.  

The dragon nodded. "Very well then, right this way." She got up and led them into the restaurant. "Get situated, your server will be here in a moment." 

Dawn sat down slowly and so did the others. Beetle took several pieces of paper from the center of the table and handed one to both Dawn and Pomegranate. "What's this?" Dawn asked.

Both Beetle and Pomegranate gave her a look like she'd just kicked a puppy. "A... Menu," Beetle said, sounding confused. 

"Um- what's a menu?" Dawn asked sheepishly. 

Before she could make any more stupid mistakes, Pomegranate butted in. "She's never been to a restaurant before," she explained quickly. 

Beetle just looked shocked. "You're... joking right?" she asked skeptically. 

"No," Dawn said sincerely. "I've never done a lot of things actually." 

Beetle frowned. "Then this is going to be hard. Okay, so the menu basically is a piece of paper that has a list of all the food the restaurant serves." 

Dawn blinked. She remembered Flutterwing telling her about restaurants before, and now she remembered. "Oh, right." She took the menu and examined it. All of it was infinitely more fancy than Dawn had ever eaten before, plus it was all so expensive. 

"Isn't there anywhere cheaper we could go to?" Dawn asked nervously.

Beetle just stared at her and Pomegranate shifted uncomfortably. "Um- Dawn," Beetle said gently, "This is a pretty cheap restaurant, and also, it's not at all fancy."

Dawn sighed in defeat. She was really inexperienced when it came to currency, so she guessed she didn't have room to speak about this. She continued to skim over the menu, her eyes falling on a dish labeled Macaroni and cheese. 

"What's this?" She asked, reading the description under it. Premium pasta noodles covered in rich, creamy melted cheese. Comes with a side.

Beetle leaned over and glanced at it. "Macaroni and cheese, have you never had it?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

Dawn shook her head. "No, Papaya would always try to make us real food, but after she died, Flutterwing didn't try to take after her, so we didn't really eat much other than fruit and fish that we could gather for ourselves," Dawn said, thinking back. 

Beetle frowned but didn't question it. "You know what pasta is, right?" 

"Of course, I'm not stupid! Besides, Papaya made it for us once when I was really little," Dawn said with a laugh.

"And cheese?" Beetle asked. This piqued Dawn's interest. Several times a wanderer had come through and Flutterwing had gotten them cheese. 

"I like it," was all Dawn replied. 

"Well, Macaroni and cheese is basically just noodles covered in cheese," Beetle smiled. 

Dawn sighed. Then why did it take so long for her to explain it, I'm not some lost child. Speaking of children, Pomegranate was struggling to help Orange make up her mind. The dragonet had no concept of food and would just nod her head at everything that she thought sounded good, which was everything.

Dawn sighed and settled herself further down in her chair. This day was already exhausting. She only raised her head when a loud group of exited SandWing tourists got seated at a table nearby.

A RainWing walked up to their table. "Hi, my name is Calendula and I'll be your server for today," he said cheerfully. "Are you ready to order yet?" 

Dawn glanced at Beetle, who looked at Pomegranate. Pomegranate just nodded, and Beetle looked at Calendula. "We're ready."

He smiled. "Perfect, what do you have in mind for today?" 

"I'd like the fruit salad," Beetle said. 

For the first time, Calendula's cheery personality dropped a little bit as he frowned in confusion. "But that's a side, surely you need a main course," he said. 

Beetle seemed perfectly aware of this, however, and her calm face didn't change. "I know, I don't need much food." 

Dawn could have sworn that her eyes flashed blue for a moment, but it was barely noticeable and faded quickly. Fortunately, Calendula didn't notice and just scribbled something down on the small notepad he was holding.

"And you?" He asked Dawn. She sucked in a sharp breath. 

"I'll um..." Social things really weren't her strong suit. "I'll have the Macaroni and cheese." 

Calendula smiled at her as he wrote it down. "It comes with a side, do you want that?" 

Dawn glanced back down at the menu and went to the section labeled Sides. After a moment of reading through all of them and thinking, she looked back up and said, "Can I have Hashbrowns with that?"

A cheerful smile remained plastered on his lips as he wrote it down. A smile that Dawn had once found comforting, but now just found annoying. Lastly, Calendula turned to Pomegranate. "What would you like?" 

"I'd like the biscuits and gravy and a side of salmon," Pomegranate said. "And the breakfast combo of pancakes and sausages for this little bug." She pointed at Orange, who giggled and rolled on her back.

Calendula smiled at Orange as he wrote the remaining order down. "Would you like any drinks with that?" He asked. 

"Just water, for all four of us, thank you," Beetle said firmly.

Calendula nodded. "That'll be ten minutes, he said, walking away. 

"Waiter!" one of the SandWings shouted, waving him over.

He sighed and walked over to the other table. Dawn couldn't help but feel bad for him.
