I sat on the couch in the motel I was staying at and quickly switched the TV on. Everyday more and more people had come home to have found their house searched. Nobody knew who the culprit was except for me. I knew that after I fled my apartment, the Death Eaters came back and found I was gone. That's why they had been searching all the muggle areas. Thye wanted to find me. But, I hadn't left the motel room once and I checked in with a different last name. None of the Death Eaters actually knew my first name so I just changed my last name to Taylor, as I had told the Weasley boy.

"More reports have been filed in to show that more people have had their house broken into. However, this time these houses have had things stolen unlike the situations before. A motel has also been robbed in the last 24 hours. Police have been working tirelessly to find the culprit yet to no a-"

I paused the news. They had broken into a motel. They knew I wasn't staying anywhere permanent. Oh my god. I should've known they would realise. I needed to leave. I paced around in circles racking my brain for a place to stay that the Death Eaters would be less likely to check. I can't let them find me. Why did they need me anyways? I never willingly did my father's bidding so why would think I'd listen to them?

The Leaky Cauldron! The Death Eaters thought I was hiding from them in the Muggle world, they wouldn't expect me to be living among wizards. Why hadn't I thought of this before? Grabbing my backpack, I raced down to the reception and quickly checked out. I called for Charcoal once I was outside and tried to inconspicuously make my way to the Leaky Cauldron. It wasn't a long walk but I had to avoid attracting attention and I also kept an eye out for anyone who looked suspicious.

I stopped in front of the door and looked around. Once I made sure that no one was watching I slipped through the door and into the Leaky Cauldron. I found Tom the innkeeper and paid him to let me stay at the inn upstairs for a few days.

"You'll be in Room 7, it's just upstairs to your left." Tom explained, directing me to the staircase.

I mumbled a thanks and walked up the staircase, that creaked at my every step. I turned left and walked down the hallway to Room 7. The door hinges groaned as I entered. I quickly put my things down and opened the window to let Charcoal in. She let out a small squeak and I poured her some water in her bowl that I had brought with me. I shut the blinds to my room and locked the door.

When I had finally put down my stuff I took a look at the room. It wasn't too fancy but it was quite nice compared to what it looked like downstairs. The bed was covered in white sheets that weren't too dirty and a bedside table with an ancient-looking lamp but I didn't mind anyways. A wooden wardrobe was to the right of the bed but I didn't bother looking inside since I knew I wouldn't use it anyways.

I let out a sigh as I lay back on the bed. I tried to calm my beating heart while reassuring myself that I would be safe here and I didn't need to worry. Closing my eyes, I fell asleep comfortably for the first time in days.Β

A/N sorry for the delay! I'm in the midst of Assessments right now!Β
