Third Person's POV

Autumn in Japan is about crimson leaves and perfect weather. Aki (秋 / あき) - the Japanese word for autumn or fall.

As summer transitions to autumn, Japan begins to cool down, offering temperate weather that's perfect for outdoor walks.

From mid-November to early December, the trees turn vivid hues of red, orange, and yellow. Autumn mornings are quiet and peaceful.

They blanket the landscape with a thick fog and fresh dewdrops. Changing colors paint the rolling hills and wooded forests.

All else seems to stand still as nature takes the main stage...

"Fighting flames of fire

Hang onto burning wires

We don't care anymore..."

... With Yuri...

After that horrible incident Yuri had recovered after taking rest for some days.

Two weeks later she contacted her friends who were George, Emelia and Drake for returning back to her job.

They informed their company and with the main chief's kindness she would able to rejoin after a week.

Settling the official business on her own she turned off her phone which was repaired some little issues and was gladly back to her after that unforgettable horrible incident.

Yuri got up from her bed and went to her balcony. It was already fall season, the last she remembered she had backed to Kiyose City for the sunflower festival but she came late and it ended up that was not good end for her. She sighed tiredly.

"Wow! I didn't even realise how fast summer went and autumn came", She muttered.

A maple leaf came flowing to her in the balcony floor, she picked it up looking at it for sometime.

"I remember the autumn when we were departed and now it's time to depart again. I'm going to miss you again... How long...", Yuri rested her chin on her left hand while grabbing the balcony grill with the other one.

"Are we fading lovers?

We keep wasting colors

Maybe we should let this go..."

Her balcony was east side of the apartment and her room was south east opened in 2nd floor room number A-17.

There was a beautiful lake in the east side and that was the only beautiful thing beside the 7th floored apartment. A small piece of nature.

She was lost in the beauty of nature. There was a maple tree, a cherry tree and a Mehagani tree surrounded by the river.

How blissful thing! Anyone could see beautiful different view of the lake naturally in every season just standing from right there.

But like Yuri was thinking something else that she didn't hear a soft knocking sound on the doorway then later it turned out a soft click sound of the door opening, Yuri missed it also.

"How long...", Yuri left out a sigh. Suddenly a pair of arms circle around her shoulders making her startled.

"HUH?!", She half screamed. "Shh! Don't worry it's me", the voice made her relaxed from her state.

Yuri didn't even have to look back to see who said it. "Kana! YOU KNOW YOU SCARED THE HELL OUTTA FROM ME?", Yuri shouted then looked at her best friend while pouting.

Kanade laughed and rested her head on Yuri's shoulder. "Sorry, but you were looking spaced out so I thought to comfort you", Kanade said out softly.

Hearing it Yuri's all worries ran away from her mind just feeling relaxed.

"We're fallin' apart, still we hold together

We've passed the end, so we chase forever

'Cause this is all we know

This feeling's all we know..."

"Whoa hehe~ your hair, it's tickling!", Yuri giggled cause Kanade's hair fell on her face tickling her but she secretly enjoying it though. Kanade smiled seeing her happy.

"So this time will I do it?", Kanade smirked and Yuri gulped, "No tickling please!". "You always spoiled the mood", Kana groaned lightly.

"Uh! Anything but not that Kana!", Yuri sweat dropped, "You know very well that it's my weakness".

Kana whined in disappointment, "I really miss those days when you always won every argument and I tickled you down to defeat. That was really fun to take the victory by simple tickling", Kanade declared.

Yuri got angry and red in embarrassment, "You freak! You always did that and the whole class started laughing at me".

Suddenly she realised something and removed herself from Kana's grip and shouted, "HEY? HOW IN THE WORLD YOU CAME FLYING TO MY APARTMENT IN 2nd FLOOR? The door is locked?", Yuri blinked stupidly and started thinking.

Kana sighed showing her a key , "No Silly! I'm not a magician. It's the spare key of your room door. You forgot you gave me that when I said I'll continuously checking you these days remember?" Yuri then realised.

"Oh I've forgotten hehe~" and then she started smiling stupidly scratching her back of head making the other rolled her eyes.

"Yuri or Sora Aoi! How in the the world you become an air hostess while having this recklessness?", Kanade/Sakura was worried for her best friend.

"Com'on dude shut up you know that I'm a responsible flight attendant or cabin crew of our airline, but I don't think I'm good at my house", Yuri/Sora replied.

"That's why here I'm having this so now you forgot that Hanako is coming to Tokyo and we're supposed to meet her on airport. Hurry up! I have to drive and reach there in 30 minutes", Kanade warned.

"Ya...", Yuri replied but then she stopped in her track making Kana asking the cause. "You've something to say? If yes then hurry up", Kanade stated.

"So Kana you remember than in there was an autumn season when we were departed now here another one come again, don't it?", Holding a maple leaf in her right hand Yuri exclaimed. Kanade became silent.

"I'll ride my bike up to the road

Down the streets, right through the city

I'll go everywhere you go

From Chicago to the coast..."

"Yes but unfortunately though we've find our answers, as I'm an NYC citizen I've to return back cause now there my home is now also my job that I love. But still here in Tokyo specially Kiyose is the most valuable place for me, always in my heart", Kana spoke out.

"Ya, but we'll always remember each other though we're a world apart, no distance could make us apart, we're always together right?", Yuri asked out making Kanade smile.

"Of course I promise and this time this promise is forever", Kana assured and looked at the environment, "I've to return back to NYC, it's fall already it's so beautiful in there also".

"Why I don't know whenever I'm with you, I feels fulfilled with everything, it feels so beautiful", Yuri said out.

"How ridiculous isn't it Kana?", Yuri asked her best friend. "What?", Kanade asked couldn't understand Yuri's statement.

"I mean isn't it funny that 12 years ago we were departed from each other, that was also fall and now again fall came again isn't it?", Yuri smiled sadly. "Hmm", Kana hmmed quietly.

"But it's not the same like the last time, that was sad though we'd forgotten about each other but still I've no regret as we're together again we both know this time things are getting better for the best", Kanade smiled and rested her head on Yuri's shoulder.

Yuri also leaned in enjoying the comfortable peaceful moment with her special one.

"You tell me, "Hit this and let's go

Blow the smoke right through the window"

'Cause this is all we know..."

"Maybe, if I can't able to come in Christmas, I promise I'll surely come at New Year ceremony", Kana showed a thumbs up.

"I'll be glad but please don't suffer any problem for me, if you can't come I'll go there", Yuri said.

"Well it's 2 more months, let's see what our destiny set for us", Kana suggested. "Ya sure", Yuri agreed and blow away the maple leaf in her hand.

It flew away in the light breeze and fell into a lake outside along with a new coming falling maple leaf joining it's company.

"How sweet! One minute ago the maple leaf was completely alone, now the light breeze brought another new one to make them together", Kanade commented.

"Ya they're just like us. I used to be a nerd and completely lone being and you came in my life to make me fulfill again", Yuri replied.

"Oh my Yuri Aoi! From when you become this emotional, mature and cool-headed person from the cute, childish and hot-headed one?", Kana half teased and half said out in wonder.

"Haha very funny, you know you also changed but still you're my 'Miss Arrogant'...", and now it's time for Yuri teasing Kanade.

After that they both laughed together enjoying each other's company before returning back to their own business.

"Never face each other

One bed, different covers

We don't care anymore..."

"We'll be out for airport in 20 minutes", Kanade reminded.

"OK", Yuri nodded and got ready in 10 minutes and fortunately they reach the airport in time.

They found Hanako finished her airport business and waving at them.

"Whoa Senpai! When did you bought this car?", She was fascinated by the new red car.

"Yeh, about one week before it's about to stay in my cousin's home and fortunately he is my neighbour now and so I've no worry with my home and the car so I think about buying it", Kana replied.

Hanako took her seat in the passenger seat while Kanade was sitting in the driver's seat and her left side was Yuri taking the passenger seat.

"Ok I've put my suitcase in the back of the car now time for taking photos. Last time I came here in hurry I couldn't take proper picture. This week holiday is so special for me cause I don't really know when I'll came back in future here", Hanako's cheerful mood turned happy to sad.

"Don't worry Hanako you'll very soon cause this place is so special one", Kanade reassured her assistant.

"For this I bought this car and leaving it here to my cousin. I'll coming often here from now. I guess at least for one time in 6 months, then you'll have many chance to see how beautiful Japan is, how amazing is Tokyo and specially how special is Kiyose", Kanade finished.

Yuri and Hanako were shocked, Kanade started the car and that brought them back to the World.

Yuri went silent and Hanako was giving her upper-classman aka her Senpai a question look, "How? I mean why Senpai?"

"Because in here I've a special one whom I've to care and keep an eye on them for not doing something stupid again", Kanade declared to the two.

Yuri smiled blushing slightly realising it was no one except her while another way Kanade glanced at her for a moment while smiling then went serious to focus on the road because she was driving.

Meanwhile Hanako was slightly not satisfied for missing a great chance for taking a photo.

"Oh gosh I missed a great shot", she muttered under her breath.

"What shot Hanako?", Kanade aka her Sakura Senpai asked making her startled.

"Senpai! I said I missed taking photo in the airport haha that's all!", she lied.

"Hmm ok", with that Kanade drove back to her house planning to spend the time there.

"Yeah, now I have time to explore Japan a little", Hanako cheered while they all came out from the car and Hanako walked forward with Yuri.

"Hey Hana Chan? Can I ask you something?", Yuri aka Sora asked. "Ya Sora San?", Hanako replied.

"Do NYC usually celebrates special holidays? I mean do the doctors and staff have time the celebrate them fully? I mean well I messed up, you see you can understand right?", Yuri couldn't get out the exact word from her mouth, gladly Hanako understood.

"Yeah but-", Hanako was cut off by Kana. "Oh yes of course in every country the workers should've got holidays or day off. Just like Japan, America also celebrate their national festival and as a NYC citizen me and Hanako really enjoy it you know! But though when emergency comes we absolutely have to go and forget about the festival as like here also but why are you asking this?", Kanade finished her word before glancing at her car if that parked properly then returned her glance back to Yuri.

"Two hearts still beating

On with different rhythms

Maybe we should let this go..."

Yuri smiled looking happy hearing it. "That mean I've a chance also. Hanako can you inform me everything about it? Cause you know I don't want to disturb someone in their work", Her words made Hanako think for a moment before chuckling.

Then she winked and showing Yuri victory sign with her hand,"OK Sora San you're all set!".

Kanade looked confused, "Hey what are you two talking about?" "Hehe~ that's our secret Senpai, right Sora San?", Hanako grinned looking amused.

"Ya that's for better cause I've someone there who's holding the other side of the red thread of my friendship bond whom I don't wanna lose or break the connection cause this invisible red thread connecting us though we're living in different, completely opposite side of the world but this one always bonding with them and that so special I don't wanna lose so I'll also go if I get a chance", Yuri sighed in relief and now it is time for Kanade who was blushing red.

"I'll not miss this shot", but Hanako accidentally shouted making Yuri and Kanade look at her.

She sweat dropped holding the camera. "Now what you miss?", Both asked Hanako.

"Well I forgot to take selfie with the car", she laughed out a foolish grin.

"Oh no Hanako I'm not gonna bring out my car from garage. You'll take selfie later ok?", Kanade looked slightly dissatisfied.

"Oh ok sorry Senpai!", Hanako smiled and the three walked to Kanade's house to spent the day. "Phew", Hanako sighed.

... At Kanade's place...

Hanako and Yuri were placing the dishes at the table for dinner, while our famous chef Kanade was busy in cooking.

Sometimes Hanako checking and helping her Sakura Senpai aka Kanade along with her Sora San aka Yuri.

After they were done eating, Hanako asked Yuri clearly about the previous conversation, "Sora San? Why you're so excited to meet your that someone at New York?" She literally teased but as Yuri knew she didn't mind yet.

"Because I've someone there to comfort, love and support, like long distance relationship and someone has the half part of my heart. Though I'm single forever and not interested in this type of feelings but that someone came to me like a precious diamond and I really don't wanna lose that jewel. I've found a special connection that's more passoinable than any romantic fiction so that's why I'll always return back there often to keep in touch with that one", Yuri closed her eyes smiling softly.

"I'll ride my bike up to the road

Kanade just entered into the room turned completely bright red and speechless.

She understood every emotion that Yuri put in her words, she wished she could hear those forever from her Little Sunflower...

It is getting colder and darker; leaves are falling from the trees. There is a chill in the air overnight, frost on the ground in the morning, mist and fog in the air.

Dry, dead leaves crunch beneath your feet and clouds appear when you breathe out.

"You tell me, "Hit this and let's go

Blow the smoke right through the window"

'Cause this is all we know..."

How does Autumn dress up at night? Answer: At night Autumn wears a twinkling crown made of countless stars. Her robe of silk is the white moonlight, set free from the cloudy patches...

In other words, your autumnal nostalgia is probably stemming from happy memories you've made in the fall season throughout your life, and those same memories are simply making you feel good and excited for what the future season holds before it's even officially begun....
