Yo!✨ HEY guys I'm back with my new story, it's a very special story for me.

Sorry for late I'm busy with some personal problems 😓 but I'll still try to update 🙁😞😔🥺😟☹️

(Still I've not get over that yet but this part I've updated before and it was saved as draft, so I thought to publish it.

Though I really don't know when I'll update next chapter so I'm sorry for that 😓 till enjoy this one 🙂)

Hope you'll like it 😉 It's also summer and month of June so I'm so excited to write it 🤩 and I'm going to use some Japanese words here, kinda little. Hehe~

Third Person's POV

Kiyose Sunflower Festival, Tokyo, Japan.

One of unforgettable views of Japan's summer is the vivid panorama of blue sky and full of yellow sun flowers in the fields.

Sunflowers were a symbol of hope and faith to restore Japan, and it helped the citizens move towards a better future.

The Kiyose Sunflower Festival offers a sweeping view of brilliant yellow flowers under the dazzling summer sun, and is the biggest event of its kind in Tokyo.

Sun's warm rays filling the world with golden magic. Far far away the cerulean sea meet with the crystal blue sky, looking like the horizon.

White clouds flying all around. A fresh air spraying the environment.

Sunflowers only Sunflowers you can see if you look in back and forth, left and right of you. They're welcoming you with wide arms.

Lost into them sure. A road went over through the beautiful sunflower field that road directly reach you to the sea shore...

(A CORRECTION! According to the map there's no way the sea beach should be placed in Kiyose City but let's pretend there's a sea beach in there, I'm gonna place Tsubasa sea beach of Tokyo, Japan in here.

Let's just PRETEND. LoL it's a story 😅 I'm gonna change the map a little bit but don't worry others will be corrected 😉👍)

"Hehe~", there's a girl with white sundress and a straw hat giggling with the sunflowers.

Her brown hairs floating in the air. She's lost herself into the flower field happiness.

She had a straw hat which was slightly big for her it covering her face. She opened her sapphire blue eyes that observing the crystal blue sky and white clouds.

"Wow so beautiful", she awed and closed her eyes feeling the sweet breeze.

"Wow I'm amazed by this. I wonder why Miss Sumire can't let us to visit these places, it's not like we're gonna jump on the sea!", The girl wondered to herself.

The sea wind passed through the sunflower field and brushed the flowers.

"It's tickling~", the sunflowers gathered across her because of the wind. She was enjoying the beautiful moments with the sunflowers in peace until...

"Hey Straw Hat!", A sudden voice came breaking through the peaceful movement.

The mentioned girl with straw hat look up to see the person calling her.

Not looking directly at the upcoming one she twitched her eyebrows and sighed. "Probably another bullies", she muttered under her breath.

The brown haired girl fixed her hat to have a better view about the new person who called her among the field.

It was another girl looking like same to her age. She was also wearing a white sundress but a little different than the brunette.

She had long black hair braided into two parts with a very long red ribbon. She's holding some sunflowers in her hands.

She looked at the brunette with her ruby red eyes. Ruby met Sapphire but the later one looked away.

"Yes do you calling me?", The sapphire eyed girl asked. "Oh ya of course I don't think there's any other living straw hat wandering in the middle of the flower field!", the ruby eyed girl sounded a little arrogant.

The other girl rolled her eyes in return. "So are you the new student?", She asked wanted to change the point.

"Hmm I'm the new one and after this year I'm going to attend the 1st grade", the black haired girl replied simply.

"Oh that's nice! Kon'nichiwa (Hello in Japanese) me Aoi Yuri! Nice to meet you, call me Yuri", Yuri smiled at her.

"Yorokobi (Pleasure in Japanese), me Kosaka Kanade, you can call me Kana", this time Kanade sounded polite and bowed. Yuri bowed after that mimicking Kanade.

"Um do we need to bow to each other? I thought that we used to bow to our elders?", Yuri asked looking dumbfounded.

Kanade looked straight into her eyes and replied, "Then you've to gain more knowledge about our cultures I guess". Hearing her reply Yuri gulped, "Ok I'll..."

"Off how rude! I guess she's coming from a very well cultured family and very serious about the manners. I don't know how am I going to deal with her in school!", Yuri thought in her mind. And then silence covered them.

"Ahem so are you gonna stand here all day staring at me?", Kana asked. Her words brought back Yuri to world from her thoughts.

"Um I mean *scratching her cheek* I'm sorry for spacing out, I actually don't know what I'm thinking?", she asked herself *childish giggle* *tilting her head* *looking dumbfounded* then looked at Kana's face full of seriousness.

Kanade's serious face made an unexpected turn. In Yuri's surprise, Kana closed her eyes and her lips which were straight in a tight line cracked into a actual smile. Then she burst into laughter making Yuri more confused.

"Oh com'on silly girl! I'm not that rude. Just kidding ya know?", She winked at her.

"Wait! That means?... Whoa haha", Yuri realised what she's saying and both burst into laughter, laughing like that was the last day of the earth.

"Whoa that's fun", both said in unison. Yuri spoke up,"I really thought that I did something stupid and you're so serious like you're gonna scold me *pout* ".

"*Chuckles* ya I was but now, ya know I kinda like messing with people", Kana closed her eyes showing her actual smile.

"Hehe, so how are you gonna carry those flowers? I only have some small ones so I can carry easily", Yuri asked her new friend Kanade.

"Hmm right, um ya this way", Kanada losen the red ribbon from her braided hair and used it to tie up those sunflowers together. "Tada~ now I'm gonna carry it easily", she exclaimed.

"Great idea", Yuri praised her. But both failed to notice that Kana didn't tied up the red ribbon with the sunflowers tightly.

"Um by the way are you gonna attend the Kiyose Sunflower Festival? ", Yuri asked.

"Of course for that I'm here, now let's go I guess Miss Sumire would be worried about us and we're gonna give these to her right?", Kanade asked and started walking and Yuki following behind. She just hmmed at her question.

Yuri stopped in her track, she smiled looking very happy to make a new friend who wasn't going to bully her in school.

She pulled those flowers closed to her and lost in her own thoughts. Finally she found a great friend.

Yuri's POV

"I'm happy to make a new friend who aren't gonna bully me, please God I wish we're always together", I was lost in my thoughts again smiling at the crystal blue sky matching with my sapphire blue eyes. Kana noticed me was left behind and called me.

"Ok I guess you're done with the sunflowers? *Wink* so then catch me slowpoke", she started to run to head back.

"Hey that's not fair! Wait for me! *Angry face*", I chased after her with my red face. "You can't", Kana ran away.

Kanade ran faster thinking that I couldn't catch up with her but I'm more fast than Kanade.

But as I went further than Kana as careless as I was, tripped over a stone and fell, "Ouch!". The sunflowers in my hands fell too.

Kanade tried to catch me but result we both fell together and rolled out to the field among with the sunflowers.

Kanade's flowers took the same turn but the red ribbon still was there tied with something. Instead the flowers the red ribbon stuck with my hands.

"OOF- *groaned* great! First day of my summer holiday camp and school starting from next week and I already met with an idiot... Hey get off from me!", Kanade screamed at me looking irritated.

I rolled off other side,"I'm very sorry for that please forgive me", I showed her my cute puppy eyes making Kanade stop screaming.

We both still laying down forgot about we had to head back. "Wow look above it's so peaceful", then I pointed at the blue sky among the field.

Kanade's all groaning vanished when she saw the beautiful view, instead complaining she stayed quiet, we both were enjoying the moment in the warm sun's rays filling up the whole field.

We noticed the red ribbon tied up our hands not the flowers. We gathered the falling flowers together and enjoyed the scenario. "It's relaxing~", I cooed.

Some moments later I spoke up,"Hey Kana! Wanna be friend?" This time not showing my stupid face, instead my warm smile covered it.

Kanade replied,"Um sure! It's fun to be friended as sweet as you". I blushed hearing praising from Kana for the first time, I really appreciated it.

"Thanks you're nice too", I replied. We spent a little time together until my most hated moments came back.

"Hey look the new student! Wait what she's doing with Yuri?", A girl from a group of 4 students said out.

Both I and Kanade stood up and looked up to see four girls in the same age like us approached to us. I looked another way seeing them coming.

Kanade noticed it, "Oi Yuri why are you looking another way?", She asked but I only stayed silent. "Oh our crybaby is afraid of us", another girl from the group teased.

Kana glared at them. My palms turned tight into a fist still I didn't fight back. Kanade was shocked to see me like that I know but what I'll do now...

"So you won't answer us huh? Now suffer", that evil girl threw some sands towards me. "Uhh!", I covered myself by the sunflowers and the straw hat.

"HEY how dare you bullying her! Back off!", Kana growled stand in front of me, protecting her new friend.

"Oh newbie guarding our crybaby, look you girl! Yuri is our pray, it's our everyday work. Com'on it's no fun one day without her", the first girl gave a evil grin.

Kana asked me, "What they're saying Yuri? It's true?" She looked at me to only receiving a silent nod and now she's so angry. She glared at those group.

"Crybaby! Crybaby! Yuri is crybaby! Yuri do you need a bottle of milk? Aww you've got the newbie guarding you huh? Oh mama comes to save her baby! Haha", and the group laughed at us both, insulting us.

"Oww haha she doesn't even have courage to fight back huh? New girl get out of our way and if you wanna be safe run and leave the place and if you not then... You also", another girl threw some sands directly into her eyes but unfortunately Kanade didn't have any hat to prevent the sands.

"Off-", She backed off rubbing her eyes and the flowers fell from her hands. She kneeled down to the ground.

"Kana!", Finally I spoke up. "Are you okay? We've to run from here", I grabbed her hands and started running but the bullies blocked my way.

"Oi? How do you think we're gonna let you go?", A girl came running to jump on me and Kanade, I moved out from my place.

But unexpectedly the girl fell down face fast at the ground. "Oouch! How did I fell?", She questioned herself. Other bullies got surprised.

The red ribbon which was tied on both my and Kanade's hands lengthened and acted like a rope so that as soon as the bully girl stepped on it, she fell down.

"Uhh! I've bruised my knee!", The bully girl cried. "So now who's the crybaby? So who's gonna be next?", I blankly asked.

"We... we'll beat you in next time", with that the bullies ran off picking up their injured friend. "Coward", I just huffed and returned my attention to Kanade.

"Kana let's go I'll help you", I wiped off the sands from her friends and carefully wiped the part of her eyes with my dress.

"Yuri? I'm fine. But answer me why didn't you fight back? You're the one who make them ran away?", She asked me. I smiled at her questions.

"Mom said it's bad to fight first, who ever attack you first defend yourself then if they crossed their limits then fight back, don't hurt anyone intentionally. That's all I did but when they hurt you they crossed their limits, I usually not raise my voice to the fools, ya I've cried before because they're doing wrong", I explained. Kana didn't expect that I can say the answer this way.

"Ok enough talking let's head back", I exclaimed and we ran to our destination, the summer holiday camp.

"Miss Sumire? Where are you?", I called ourr teacher. "Huh finally found you two", she came to us with worried looks. We both approached to her.

She was a young lady in her late 20. She had blonde hair and emerald green eyes.

She's wearing a white top with light blue cotton jacket and brown skirt following with black stockings and black ballet flats.

"Yuri! Kanade! Oh my goodness. You know that I'm finding you two for the whole time where were you two? If you're gonna ran away I'll call your parents to bring you back to your home", Miss Sumire asked us while scolding.

"Miss we're sorry but can you help us?", I said the whole fact and Miss Sumire nodded in understanding.

"Well I'll manage it don't worry you two and Kanade go to Miss Maple, she'll help you", Sumire said.

"Ok ma'am", I losen the red ribbon from my hands and gave it back to Kana. "Thanks", Kanade left the place and went to Miss Maple for asking help.

Then I talked with Miss Sumire for a little then I went to find someone I was searching for.

I looked relieved after finding the person. "Find ya", I sighed and ran to them.

~*Some moments later*~

Kanade's POV

"Ok you're done but please be careful from next time", Miss Maple said to me. "Thanks Miss Maple!", I bowed and left the place.

"Uhh finally peace! Next time I'll give a lesson to the bullies", I came out finishing the business. I looked around didn't see Yuri with Miss Sumire.

"Wait where did she go?", I looked and found Yuri in front of their First-Aid camp next to the camp of Miss Maple.

"Uh it hurts miss!", A girl cried in pain. I peeked from distance and it was the same girl from the bullies but what Yuri doing with her?

"Well so then miss let me try", Yuri spoke up. She kneeled down and wrapped the bandage around the girl's leg.

"Ok now magic~ pain, pain go away~ pain, pain go away~ whoops shoo, Tada~ it'll work", Yuri helped the girl and she accepted.

"Why are you helping me?", The girl asked her. She replied, "Because everyone is my friend and I love to helping all".

The girl looked shocked and the teacher smiled. Yuri came out running happily from the place she noticed me,"Yo~".

"Ya let's do something together! Are you wanna be my partner for this camp?", I asked hoping she'll agreed.

"Sure why not but first we've to go to Miss Sumire, she's gonna tell us something about the festival then she'll decide what our tasks should be", Yuri informed.

Whoa this girl is not so fool how she looked but she's a little childish and cute.

I wanna make her my lovely sister. I smiled at the thought. "Let's go", we went to our teachers.

... At Miss Sumire's Class...

(I've found some little details 🤓 whoa~ 👩‍🏫 teaching time (≧▽≦)

"Ok so today we're specially here at the time of 'Kiyose Sunflower Festival, Tokyo' look what I've written in the blackboard", Miss Sumire wrote something on the board.

"Today I'm gonna tell you some amazing facts about sunflowers", saying Miss continued writing on the board and we just starting with curiosity.

"Himawari (kanji:向日葵, hiragana:ひまわり, katakana:ヒマワリ) is the Japanese word for sunflower", she wrote out and said.

Then she started talking again,"One of unforgettable views of Japan's summer is the vivid panorama of blue sky and full of yellow sun flowers in the fields", she said.

" ... Akeno Himawari Batake (Akeno Sunflower Field)", she wrote and continued saying, "Is located in Hokuto City of Yamanashi Prefecture, and is one of the great spots of the sunflower fields with the Japan Alps range in the background"...

"Over 8 million sunflowers were planted in Fukushima that year. More than just clearing up a nuclear tragedy, sunflowers were a symbol of hope and faith to restore Japan, and it helped the citizens move towards a better future", she stopped for a moment for waiting for us to make out what she said.

"But ma'am why we call sunflowers a special one? It also don't used in our home garden?", A student asked out. Miss Sumire smiled before answering their questions.

"The symbolic sunflower meaning deals with beauty, delight, hope and joy. ... This is symbolic of spiritual faith, and worship because we follow our belief system as the sunflower moves to face the life-giving rays of the sun", so we usually don't planted them in our home garden, we planted them in a field that only full with sunflowers.

She wrote out again, "The Bible says: "The fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, justice and truth" ( Ephesians 5: 9 )"... she continued saying,"Just as sunflower flowers produce oil, the believer who sets his sights on God shows his characters of goodness, righteousness and truth"...

"No matter how small or how little light there is, sunflowers are believed to seek out the light and hold their heads high as if in worship and adoration of the sun. They are therefore a symbol of true and faithful loyalty to something that is much brighter and bigger than themselves"...

"These flowers are unique in that they have the ability to provide energy in the form of nourishment and vibrancy-attributes which mirror the sun and the energy provided by its heat and light. Sunflowers are known for being "happy" flowers, making them the perfect gift to bring joy to someone's (or your) day"...

"Ok now I'm gonna write a little quote you'll like it", Miss Sumire winked and we're excited.

"DREAMS START SMALL. I held a sunflower seed in my hand and felt the beauty inside wanting to come out. ...

FACE THE SUN. I know that the best way to grow is with light and love. ...

GROW BIG. ...

LET MYSELF BE BEAUTIFUL. ...

CENTER MYSELF EVERY DAY", she wrote out while saying those things loudly.

"Hey I guess it's enough for us", "Um, Yuri?", I said to Yuri but found her she's smiling brightly lit up like a star. I sweat dropped at the fact.

I guess she's probably daydreaming about running in the middle of the sunflower field.

"DREAMS START SMALL. I held a sunflower seed in my hand and felt the beauty inside wanting to come out. ...

FACE THE SUN. I know that the best way to grow is with light and love. ...

GROW BIG. ...

LET MYSELF BE BEAUTIFUL. ...

CENTER MYSELF EVERY DAY", Yuri sang out in a weird tone loudly, probably it's not a song.

The whole class got silent and then looked at her. "Ehh?", She put her straw hat in front of her, hiding her face while others laughing and Miss Sumire chuckling at her outburst.

"Aw that's sweet of you Yuri. So class now we're gonna do some fun! Are you ready or not?", Miss Sumire asked.

"YAAY!", whole class cheered up. "So com'on 1st we gonna do search the things, I've put 5 things somewhere before and you've to find out them Ok? I'll seperate you all in 5 teams as you're 25 so it's better I'll make 5 group of 5 people. Both boy and girls can be in a team. The first one will found the thing will got the things! Guys you've only 30 minutes to search and don't copy each others, no cheating, you can't steal what other team planning. Got it? Now let's go", She cheered out and we got excited for the fun game.

(Sorry I didn't found anything else 😓)

"So team A, B, C, D and E , let's begin", she made the team groups and gladly me and Yuri in a same team, Team A, along with two boys and a girl. "This gonna be awesome", we cheered out.

~*The midway of the game*~

"Team C no cheating! You're out, you're not supposed to sneak peek at other's team and coping them", Miss Maple scolded as the team C copied team E and stole their plan and the result team C got cut out while the team E got late for their time. "Only 15 minutes", she said out to attract our attention.

"We've have to find out more 2 items", Yuri said. Ya our team is working on progress but what if the others had it? Our two partners found 1 item at first it was a flower vase and then Yuri had found out a flower bouquet and next I've found some sunflower seeds in a plastic bag.

"And TIMES UP!", Miss Sumire and Miss Maple both screamed out. "No we failed", the other girl looked sad cause we're not able to get the 2 more things.

"Don't worry we've got 3 items", I pat her shoulder, she nodded. We headed back to our teachers.

"Ok so team C got disqualified at first then team E didn't make it in time, next team D get back in empty handed, so team B wow you got 2 things nice! And team A you got 3 items! So that means team A and B are the winner, congratulations on your victory", Miss Maple and Sumire clapped along with the other teachers.

"Then so as I've said you can take those and now Dairy Milk for team A and B. Don't worry team D and E you'll get chocolates. And team E please don't cheat next time, here some toffee for you all", Miss Sumire gave us our gifts.

"Hey Kasumi! Take it a gift from me", Yuri gave the flower bouquet we've got in prize. Kasumi the girl who was upset earlier looked at her,"But you've found it not me, I can't".

"Ow just take it I can't take it what I'm gonna do with it? I live in a small apartment, we even don't have any place for making garden", Yuri said out.

"Um", Kasumi looked hesitating but Yuri placed it in her hands and left. "Thanks", Kasumi replied and Yuri just waved.

"Hey! wait for me", I ran after her. We've enjoyed some moments together.

It was a three day summer camp. We've enjoyed every minute together, making Yuri my new friend was a great pleasure.

Third Person's POV

The three days passed like wind for the two. They got fond of each other in this 3 days.

After that they went to school and studied together. And miraculously the bullies stopped bothering Yuri.

The girl whom she helped respected her after that and everyone else being genuine and friendly with each others.

Yuri and Kanade both girls' parents met with each other and liked others company. They usually invited each others to their houses.

Both girls were very happy with it. In the meantime Yuri met with Kana's grandmother.

Grandma loved Yuri like her own granddaughter, and Yuri was very happy with that as she don't have her own. She felt like her dream come true. (I'll say those in details in next chapter, till then see ya ;)

~*Some days/ months later*~

"So Kana what is so special about this Red Ribbon?", Yuri asked. "Well it's the first gift that my Granny gave me after I got to know her, she said it's a magical ribbon and it'll be always connected me to something special", Kanade explained. "So you found something?", Yuri asked, her eyes filled with sparkling stars.

"Oh yes I've found *chuckles*", Kanade was hiding something behind her, Yuri got to see that it was a bright little sunflower that just bloomed and like smiling brightly in the sun.

"This is the flower from one of the seeds that we've won from our summer holiday camp", Kanade showed up it leaving Yuri in confusion.

"This? *Raised brows*", Yuri asked confused what Kanade meant. "No, this", Kana gave the flower to Yuri in left hand and tied the right one with her right hand with the ribbon.

"This the bond of friendship with YOU, you're the special one and our friendship is magical", Kana smiled.

"It's so wonderful", Yuri jumped in wonder and amazement she hugged Kanade tightly.

She hugged back and both spent the time while watching other flowers of Kanade's flower garden.

Kanade's house is big and the back of her house is their family garden with so many flowers. Yuri checked every of them.

Kanade's grandmother was watching them from distance smiling at their cheerfulness.

"Keep blooming my sweet little flowers", she smiled before returning back to her own room.

"DREAMS START SMALL. I held a sunflower seed in my hand and felt the beauty inside wanting to come out. ...

FACE THE SUN. I know that the best way to grow is with light and love. ...

GROW BIG. ...

LET MYSELF BE BEAUTIFUL. ...

CENTER MYSELF EVERY DAY.", cheers and giggles were heard from their flower garden probably Kanade and Yuri.

Yuri grabbed safely the new bloomed Sunflower in her hand, not wanting it to get hurt. Her sapphire blue eyes sparkled joining the crystal sky will the bright sun.

And the little new bloomed Sunflower in Yuri's left hand keep smiling in the bright sunlight...

So that the way their friendship started from the nursery class and they grew up together enjoying each others company becoming the best friends forever and loving each other.
