Kiyose City, Tokyo, Japan

Summer in Japan. Summer in Japan lasts from about June to mid-September, depending on the location.

Summers are hot and humid, with temperatures ranging from approximately 70 to 90 °F (21 to 32 °C).

Located on northwestern edge of central Tokyo, tiny Kiyose City is nationally famous for Tokyo's largest annual sunflower festival.

Sometimes in Kiyose City is roughly in the shape of a wedge, bordered by Saitama Prefecture to the north, east and south and separated from the city of Tokorozawa by the Yanase River.

The city has considerable green space, with around 46% of its area remaining rural...

Story's 1st Character:—

Yuri Aoi (Sora Aoi)

Status: Single forever

Research mission: True Friendship

Character–

Brown hair, sapphire blue eyes, childish, determined and genuine. A great friend, always wants to make others smile, has a cute smile to attract people.

No-one can resist her sweet smile, talkative but can be quite if she wants.

As child–

Super clumsy, childish. Sometimes tries to be smart but not so. Always makes people's heat melt with her innocent sapphire blue eyes and cute smile. Love to help others.

As teenager/adult/in her profession–

An Air Hostess, a nice flight attendant,  people never thought she can cause she was clumsy but in duties she's the coolest. Her smile leave passengers heart melt.

The Captain and her partners love her like sister and the airline like her for a lovable girl. Till now not has an enemy (but secret enemy as Lucy Harley).

Story's 2nd Character:—

Kanade Kosaka (K.K.Sakura)

Status: Unknown

Research mission: True Love

Character–

Black hair, ruby red eyes, kind, calm, intelligent, pretty. Archiver of her goals, can be strict if someone hurts her feelings. She's Cool, loves to stay alone.

As child–

As cool as always, likes to make pranks with unknown whom she thinks would be fun, knows her limits.

A little mature girl in her age though as a child. Super cool and amazing.

As teenager/adult/in her profession–

A wonderful doctor, as kind as she needs to, has excellent skills. She's won everyone's heart in the hospital and patients.

Co-workers and other doctors-nurses love and respect her for her kindness. She can be a little arrogant if someone dare to insult her.

Two are in a mission but their missions are different.

One has wanted to find what is the meaning of true friendship and other has wanted to find out what is the meaning of true love.

Will they succeed in their journey while fulfilling their dream job or profession?

Or this journey bring them together to find the real answer?

Will they'll able to find True Friendship and True Love?

Or friendship and love bond them together to the answer?

Sun's warm rays filling the world with golden magic. Far far away the cerulean sea meet with the crystal blue sky, looking like the horizon.

White clouds flying all around. A fresh air spraying the environment.

Sunflowers only Sunflowers you can see if you look in back and forth, left and right of you. They're welcoming you with wide arms.

You'll be lost into them for sure. A road went over through the beautiful sunflower field that road directly reach you to the sea shore... 

"Here I go, here I go

Feel better now, feel better now

Here I go, here I go

It's better now, feel better now..."

Sora was patting on a soft leaf of a sunflower. She softly caught those flowers in her hands adoring the beauty. She missed this place.

She supposed to come at the time when sunflower festival held but unfortunately she came there so late because of her work at the airline.

It was already September but still sun's rays were warm and burning up. She fixed her plastic hat to make sure it wouldn't flew away in the strong wind between the field.

... With Sora aka Yuri...

The day Yuri realise there was no chance with contacting Kanade she was heartbroken but managed herself.

After graduation she placed her name Yuri in middle while placing Sora in the first which was given by Kanade, 'Sora Aoi'. Everyone knew her name was Sora from Yuri Aoi.

During difficult days, sometimes we just need to stand tall and press our face to the sun – like the stately sunflower.

Seeing a field of giant yellow flowers can’t help but make us smile. Poets and writers have penned odes to this grand flower for decades.
 
William Blake once said—

"Ah! sunflower, weary of time,

Who countest the steps of the sun,

Seeking after that sweet golden clime

Where the traveller's journey is done;

Where the youth pined away with desire,

And the pale virgin shrouded in snow,

Arise from their graves and aspire;

Where my sunflower wishes to go."

Sora smelt the fresh air and her blue sapphire eyes met the crystal clear blue sky. She was wearing a knee length simple white sundress.

"In the morning the sunflower blossoms due to the sun's rays. This morning I just wanted to remind you that my heart blossoms with love for you every day I wake up and it's going to do that forever", she muttered under her breath talking with herself.

"True friends are like bright sunflowers that never fade away, even over distance and time. I wish if it was true so I could meet you again 'Kana'... I miss you", she smiled sadly.

"I want to be like a sunflower; so that even on the darkest days I will stand tall and find the sunlight. But I can't give up I've alot of people to care about and they loved me for real", she was lost in her thoughts.

"Do you remember when we fell under?

Did you expect me to reason with thunder?

I still remember when time was frozen

What seemed forever was just a moment

Hurry up, hurry up

There's no more waiting

We're still worth saving..."

The light breeze passed through the small passage between the sunflower field. It made her loose opened hairs flow. Sora didn't mind the silence actually she was enjoying it until...

"Hey! Straw hat!", A seemingly familiar voice echoed in the wind. Sora felt like her heart skipped hearing that call.

She was not sure why but seemed like she could recall something special...

Sora checked her own hat carefully noticing if she's wearing any straw hat but when she found it was plastic one she went upset, "Maybe I'm hearing things this days". She shook her head to come out from her daydreaming.

"Hey there clumsy girl I didn't know you went deaf in the flower field", that voice again.

And this time Sora heard clearly it was not a daydream. She was hearing right.

"Look at the left Miss Flight Attendant", Sora widened her eyes and spotted the person.

"No way...", She was shocked to see the same girl she'd met before at NYC in the hospital "Green Life".

"Oh my thank God you finally noticed me", the raven haired girl reached out to Sora. "So guess who's here!", She cheered as her red ruby eyes sparkled in joy.

"Doc-", "Off- how many times I've to tell you just call me Sakura", Sakura cut off her frowning but smiled immediately. "Um ya Sakura", Sora corrected herself smiling in return.

"Sorry for my sudden encountering actually I got to know from Hanako that you're taking a break and returning back to your home place so I thought why not meeting up with you and also get a wonderful chance visiting Japan finally! I really love this sunflower fields", Sakura let out her reason for coming to Kiyose.

"Wow nice! Yes I love sunflowers also besides of roses, lilies and saku- I mean cherry blossom", Sora started stuttering but managed herself. "Yup same here", Sakura giggled at Sora's that reaction.

"So have you ever come to Kiyose? Last time I remembered I heard that you're from Tokyo but you'd to leave Japan when you were young along with your parents?", Sora asked.

"Yes, I did and I love Kiyose for it's wonderful atmosphere", she replied. "Sounds cool. Hey wanna walk to the sea beach with me?", Sora asked.

"Sure whyn't", she nodded walking with Sora. "I don't see Hana Chan. Where is she? Didn't she come along with you?", Sora asked Sakura.

"No unfortunately she didn't come with me for an important task to be done there. She's gonna come at tomorrow's flight", Sakura replied.

"That's great! We can meet up together again", Sora cheered as Sakura smiled seeing her jumping.

After they reached at the sea shore they say down on the sand. It's not a popular sea beach that's why there was no crowd near of it.

Just a piece of nature posses the same place where you can do whatever you want.

"So refreshing! I've always loved this place", Sora exclaimed. "Yes indeed it is", Sakura commented.

Then for a while she looked at Sora then noticed that Ruby pendant chain she was wearing. Sora never put it off again.

"I still remember when things were broken

But put together, the cracks will close in..."

"Hey Sora just a thing to ask about?", Sakura asked being serious for a minute. "Sure! Ask out", Sora nodded.

"Do you remember who is Kanade Kosaka, Yuri?", Sakura looked directly into her eyes.

"Wha? But how you?...", Sora gasped hearing those names like a thousands years later.

A minute of peaceful silence surrounded the two. Only the sounds of the waves clashing with the shore could be heard.

Sora blinked for a couple times then opened her mouth, "Yes, I know them. Of course I can't forget her again and my middle name is Yuri which used to be my first name instead of Sora...". She looked down.

"Hurry up, hurry up

There's no more waiting

We're still worth saving..."

"So why you changed it?", Sakura asked. "Cause when I found there was no chance to contact Kanade again... I... Thought I could keep those last things she's given me... One was the name 'Sora' and the other one is this red ruby pendant chain. I've never put it off from me and always treasured it as her last memories which is forever in my heart", Sora clutched the pendant as tears ran down her face.

"I see", Sakura closed her eyes and took a deep breath before doing something unexpected for Sora aka Yuri.

"I don't know you're going through this so much pain, I'm very sorry for leaving you my precious little sunflower... Yuri", she hugged Sora as she stopped crying in shock.

"Wait! What? But first how do you know what me as Yuri? And how you know about Kana I mean Kanade?", There were million questions circling around Sora's head as she hugged back Sakura in confusion.

"Huh! Dumb as always silly girl", freeing herself from the embrace Sakura playfully hit Sora's forehead. "Ouch HEY!", Sora let out a scream nonetheless.

"What about I show you something in example instead of explaining", Sakura pull out something silver colored thing and wore it on her neck.

Seeing what the thing clearly Sora's eyes widened. "That sapphire!", She pointed out remembering clearly that stone.

"Oh yes the exactly same heart shaped Sapphire jewel pendant with a silver chain", Sakura explained.

"That means You-", Sora couldn't finish her words as more tears rolled down from her eyes.

She sobbed, "Is it True? Is it really you Kana?" "Yes the one and only", Sakura flipped her hair making Sora crying in happiness.

"Feel the light

"Kana I can't believe it's really you. I'm so sorry that I couldn't recognise you. What type of stupid friend I'm... Who doesn't even recognise her own best friend, I'm so sorry please forgive me", Yuri cried out in pain and guilt.

"Shh there's no need to say sorry", Kanade gently wipped off the tears from Yuri's face.

"I'm glad we're able to meet again. I'm the one who should say sorry. Cause I left Japan in the first place. If I won't go this won't happen either. I'm the one who cut the contact at first", Sakura tried to hold back her tears but failed.

"No Kana we both are equally responsible for this incident so there's no need to blaming just yourself. Forgot about the past, I'm seeing you as Kanade again this is the present and the best gift I've ever get", Yuri pulled Kanade in a tight embrace comforting the other girl by gently patting her back. Kanade calmed down and hugged back.

"So I'm glad we meet again as Yuri and Kanade", Kana touched the blue sapphire with her fingers smiling brightly. Yuri was so happy she couldn't even express with just words.

They spent together sometime at that sea beach then thought about going somewhere else. They decided about visiting the great Tokyo Tower.

"So meet me at there half an hour later", Kanade said and waved goodbye till then.

Both took their leave then headed to their respective home for getting ready for the trip.

"Oh my I'm so excited to spend time with her again", Sora left her apartment and headed to the root.

"It's been long time I'm in Tokyo, let's enjoy the best moments", Kanade locked her house and smiled happily.

~*Sometimes later*~

A symbol of Japan's post-war rebirth as a major economic power, Tokyo Tower was the country's tallest structure from its completion in 1958 until 2012 when it was surpassed by the Tokyo Skytree.

In addition to being a popular tourist spot, Tokyo Tower serves as a broadcast antenna.

View of the Fuji volcano. The tower is the most recognisable landmark in Tokyo; in the daytime it stands out with its red and white colours and at night it is beautifully illuminated - bright white in summer and warm orange in winter.

Tokyo Tower is separated into three distinct sections. Foot Town sits at the base of the tower and is a vibrant area of cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops.

The Main Deck is located 150 meters up and offers memorable views of the city as well as a “look-down” window—not for the faint-hearted.

To get to these observation decks, Tokyo Tower can be climbed entirely by foot using a 600-step staircase.

That number might sound intimidating, but the views and experiences you will have on the way are well-worth the effort.

You can choose to take the elevator or walk up 600 steps to the main deck, located 150 meters above the ground.

If you are lucky, on sunny days you can even catch a glimpse of Mt. Fuji rising in the distance.

The climb to the 150m-high main deck consists of 600 steps and gets you halfway up the tower in roughly 15 minutes.

People who have trekked up to the main observation deck will allowed to use the elevators to descend back down.

"WOOOOOW! Kana! It's beautiful", Yuri exclaimed with joy as she and Kanade were watching the Tokyo city's view from the top deck of the tower. "Yes it's amazing!", Kanade joined her.

"You and I can have it all tonight

So let's bring it back it to light

Now we have another chance to fly

Another chance to make it right..."

From the time they met the whole afternoon they spent there while observing and eating if they got close to a store. Yuri was jumping up and down.

She's the one who decided to climb up the stairs instead of the elevator making Kanade no choice except joining her nonetheless. Crossing the pair of stairs they finally reached the Top deck.

After sunset there is a beautiful view of the city lights. Originally the tower was lit up to simply show its outline. In 1989 the illumination was re-designed, and the tower now seems to float in the night sky.

The beautiful illumination has been well received, and many people say that it looks warm and inspiring.

"The sunset is always the most beautiful thing ever!", Yuri cheered. "Yes always reminds me of a beautiful flower's colourful petals covering the blue sky", Kanade admired the beauty.

"If I were a flower…I would be a sunflower. To always follow the sun, turn my back to darkness, stand proud, tall and straight even with my head full of seeds", Yuri/Sora said out.

"Does she realize she looks like a sunflower, ready to rain sunlight on all who look down upon her?", Kanade/Sakura muttered to herself.

"Well nice thought. So finally we're done let's head back and this time ELEVATOR! Or I'm gonna leave you alone here", Kanade glared at Yuri as she was planning to take the stairs again. "Hehe, ok", Yuri grinned.

As they took the elevator and climbed down they took the whole view of the tower from the ground.

"I'm so happy that I got a chance coming with you. Thanks for today", Yuri thanked her best friend. "No problem I also enjoyed it", Kanade smiled genuinely.

"Yohooo! Senpai! Sora San!", A very familiar voice caught their ears. The two looked back and spotted the elegant green hairs cheerful girl whom they knew very well.

"Hanako!", Both shouted as Hanako come out from the elevator. "Heya!", She replied back.

"Wow! What a wonderful surprise! Hana Chan?", Sora asked. "Yup!", Hanako grinned at them.

"I just landed 2 hours ago but before booking a hotel Senpai told me to come to her house. I got the key from her neighbour as she was not in home. Somehow I managed to settle my stuffs at the living room and hurried up to come here. Sorry Senpai I promise after we head back I'll surely clean everything", Hanako showed puppy eyes to her Sakura Senpai.

Sakura/Kanade just sighed then smiled back, "Don't worry about that". "So how's the view?", Kanade asked.

"It's just AWESOME! Seriously Senpai coming to Tokyo was my dream and I finally fulfilled it by visiting the great Tokyo Tower! I got some wonderful shots of the view of the entire Tokyo City! WHOOO", she raised up her camera. "Wow", Sora/ Yuri smiled.

"Oh yes before you ask, I'm a photographer by passion thought I'm a physician special assistant by profession", she replied to Yuri aka her Sora San.

"Cool", she replied back. "So what's are we waiting for Cheer!", In a sec Hanako fixed her camera and tripod and rushed back to pose.

The three took a picture in front of the tower. "WHE!", Hanako smiled happily as she got the picture she wanted. "I'll send two copies to you two later", she showed a thumbs up as the other two nodded and laughed.

"Hey isn't it Sora?", "Oh yes She is!", Two different voices called her name as Yuri looked beside her seeing Emelia and Drake.

"Hey guys! Wow George bro! COOL! I'm blessed today meeting all of you", Yuri smiled waving back.

Coincidence was all decided to visit the tower in the same day as they met each other by fate like the great Tokyo Tower bonded them intentionally.

Yuri introduced Sakura and Hanako and her friends to each other. Hanako took alot of pictures of each one and in pair.

Everyone congratulated for Drake and Emelia's engagement and Hanako couldn't help blubbering about when was the wedding she wanted to click pictures making others sweat dropped and let out nervous smile.

The six decided to go to a nearest café for a little bit more chitchat. After reaching there Yuri couldn't help but talk about sweets which made Kanade and George both face palm as they scolded Yuri for eating too much sweets but who cares about them.

Emelia and Hanako get closed as goods friends liking each other's personality.

George and Drake felt abandoned between the girls went busy with their talking but thankfully it didn't stay too long as all asked about each other and talked gracefully.

As the night sky lit up by the moon and the stars, the city also lit up by it's own life line and the Tokyo Tower being the most attraction.

It engulfed by the light shining in the dark of night. The six smiled at the view.

"Today is the best day ever!", Yuri thanked God for that day. Kanade looked at her smiling face as she smiled softly seeing Yuri happy again.

"I'm glad you're enjoying", she said. "That's all for you", Yuri replied.

George felt happy for his lil sis as he imagine about Lily beside him, "Sis Lily I hope you're enjoying it also". Yuri patted his shoulder assuring Lily was also with him forever.

Emelia and Drake locked their hands together enjoying each other's company.

Hanako's smile never left her face as she talked with Kanade, "I'm so happy Senpai! Thanks for being here". "Always", Kanade smiled politely.

"Hey remember it?", Yuri showed her bracelet. "Yes how can I forget", a same duplicate of it Kanade also wearing. They touched those with each other's hands smiling brightly.

"Here we go, here we go

Feel better now, feel better now

Here we go, here we go

It's better now, feel better now..."

At last Yuri and Kanade held each other's hands, "Remember what we forget but we're gonna bring it all back".

They recalled back the sunflower field where they returned back as Yuri and Kanade from Sora and Sakura again.

Who knows what may lie around the next corner?

There may be a window somewhere ahead. It may look out on a field of sunflowers.

Sunflowers end up facing the sun, but they go through a lot of dirt to find their way there.

We’re all golden sunflowers inside. Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace...
