She had been the very definition of Visenya Targaryen. Viserra Targaryen loved war. She loved the ride into battle mounted in her dragon Meraxes. The dragon queen and the biggest dragon, surpassing Vhagar. She was the perfect mix between queen Alicent and her husband king Viserys. When she was young, she convinced her father to allow her to train, her mother of course refused but the king had commanded it. No one could deny the king and he could not deny his daughter, Viserra.

Princess Viserra was the only child of king Viserys who had a second name, which was Alyssa. Viserra Alyssa Targaryen. When she was born, she was born crying loudly. Her father often said it was like a battle cry. That was the only way they could explain her love for sword fighting. And of course her Targaryen blood, Visenya, Rhaenys and Aegon's blood to be exact. She had grown up as a perfect princess yet a perfect warrior.

With King Viserys's permission she had travel to the free cities were she fought with the Dothraki and earned her own braids and recognition for being a great warrior. Her return was a surprise not only for her family but for herself as a petition was happening. Vaemond wanted to take the Driftmark throne now that Lord Corlys health was at risk, taking the claim from her nephew Lucerys.

King Viserys had been announced and right after him came he announcement. "Princess Viserra Targaryen, the warrior dragon, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the breaker of chains and mother of dragons!" everyone bowed as she walked in. She stood beside her father before kissing his cheek. Vaemond was of course, denied of his petition. He insulted Rhaenyra and she cut off his head. "He can keep his tongue" she said calmly. The room was silent. "And let it be known. Anyone, who doubts or questions my nephews legitimacy will loose their head as well" she said with a smile. She bowed to her father. "Father" she said before walking away.

Everyone watched her leave. Viserra was every man's dream and that didn't save Lucerys Velaryon and his brother from that list. Her mother appeared in her room. Alicent swore by the gods that she had no favorite child but she knew and everyone else knew Viserra was in fact her favorite. She was the one who was always there for her mother, even while away. She wrote to her everyday. There had not been a day where she had not written to her mother. Alicent knew Visenya would marry anyone she wished, despite being a strong headed person she could never deny her mother of anything, a marriage was not the exception. Nothing was going as expected for Alicent. She had no allies but she wanted her blood on the throne. So, the next best thing was prince Jacaerys Velaryon, the future king of the Seven Kingdoms.

It had started innocently, for him. They would encounter each other on their walks, soon enough dragon rides, horse rides and every so often he would accompany her on her walks to Flea Bottom. She had worked hard, when her mother and grandfather had cornered about her many chats with Jacaerys she spoke. "I deserve the throne, mother. Who is more fitted than I? I am what a great king should be" she spoke. "Jacaerys is my best and quickest shot at it" her grandfather saw it then, her ambition. Her need and want for the throne. There was one thing she did not expect. To fall in love with her future husband's brother.

Lucerys was kind and loving. He loved to be peaceful. He was a sweet and gentle soul, much different than her but perhaps that was what made her fall in love with him. Her wedding to the crown prince took place in the spring time, by the time the new Year came around the princess gave birth to a son. Prince Rhaegar Targaryen was a Targaryen through and through, he was his mother's son. He had his grandmother's eyes. The boy was a quiet and sleepy babe, always sleeping. The old king Viserys loved his grandson, stating he was a true Targaryen, a Targaryen man fit to be the next king. Otto Hightower had never been proud of his grandchildren until her.

Lucerys often visited his nephew, he loved the boy and loved to take him out for walks and such and his mother enjoyed the free time. But as the weeks passed he spend more time with the mother and babe than with his own future bride. When prince Aemon came into the world the realm rejoiced specially after the princess gave birth to a son and daughter. Prince Aemon came with his sister, princess Aemma who to everyone's surprised actually looked like her namesake more than her own parents. Prince Aemon had the Velaryon brown hair but his mother's lilac eyes. (Here Rhaenys hair is black like in the books). The realm praised the princess for being strong and birthing strong children. When Jacaerys fell ill and a war began in the Step Stones the princess took the initiative and lead her army to a great victory. By her side, her good brother prince Lucerys.

When the two returned from battle they were as close as ever. Rumor had it the young prince nearly died three times during the battle but the princess always saved his life, earning an eternity of gratitude from queen Rhaenyra. Jacaerys was slowly recovering but he was proud of his princess wife. He loved her with all his heart many would say but she didn't love him, not the way he loved her. She loved him, they were family, they were married and had three children together but nothing more than familiar and friendship love was there. But, with Lucerys it was different.

She sat in her chamber one night, her husband was in Dragonstone attending some business with his mother. "Vis?" she heard a voice say from her door. "Luke" she greeted with a smile. It was rather late but there he stood in the middle of her room, hands together, playing with his own fingers to try and settle down his nerves. She stood up and made her way over to him. "Lucerys, are you alright?" she asked, worried about him. "I have a confession to make" he said quickly. "Okay" she said waiting for his confession. "I..." there was a paused as he struggle to talk. "I.." she gave him an encouraging smile. "It's okay, Luke. You know you can trust me" she said hoping for him to talk. "I'm in love with you and I do not wish to marry Baela!" he finally said. The room fell into an awkward silence.

He took a few steps from her. "Lucerys.." he paced back and forth. "I know is wrong. You're my brothers wife and the mother of his three children but I cannot help it. I love you. I just wanted you to know. That even after I marry Baela it will be you who I think about morning, noon and night" she walked over him and hugged him. "I'm sorry" she whispered as he held her close. The storm raged outside. Against their better judgment the two slept together. The next day the two acted as if nothing happen and continued on with their lives. A moon after his wedding to lady Baela she found she was with child. Lucerys child.

Princess Viserra said nothing. Good thing she had laid with Jacaerys two days after. Jacaerys wanted his fourth child to be born in Dragonstone. So, he and his wife left as soon as they found out. Lucerys had left to Driftmark with his lady wife soon after the wedding. Prince Baelon and princess Alyssa were welcomed into the world by their mother and "father" on a stormy night. Viserra had remember that the night they were conceived was a stormy night as well. She kept her secret, she swore to take it to her grave. Time passed and Baela became with child. Viserra sent her congratulations through a raven. Her and her husband stayed in Dragonstone. The two were very closed. They broke their fast together and dined together after finishing their duties. Their children were well raised by their mother and father. They were very loved and no one could ever deny that.

The years were kind to her and her family. Princess Viserra grew into an even greater beauty. Her husband became a strong man. Tall and muscular like his father had once been. Her son Rhaegar was now eight summers old. Aemon and Aemma six. Baelon and Alyssa were four. Their children grew strong and healthy. Rhaenyra was queen, she had been queen before Baelon and Alyssa were born. Viserys had stepped down as he felt he was not fit to rule due to his health but he lived in peace, enjoying his daughter's reign.

Jacerys loved his lady wife, Viserra knew that much. She too loved her husband, very much. Yet in cold stormy nights she couldn't help but think about the man who made her happy that one night, she could sometimes feel the ghostliness of the kisses he trail down her body, the way he held her had as he pushed himself inside her. There was a part of him that stayed with her since that night. On queen Rhaenyra's fifth year as a queen a tourney in her honor was made. Jason Lannister had thrown the feast and tourney in her honor. Before they could celebrate her fifth year as queen, an almost rebellion had to be put the rest. The Greyjoy's thought Rhaenyra unfit rule but her son and good daughter were there to put their meaningless thoughts to rest. Viserra was three moons pregnant. She did not know but she fought bravely. They arrived the sam day as the tourney. Everyone heard the dragons roared. Meraxes's huge shadowed made the land where everyone stood turned dark. Alicent was finally seeing her daughter after many years.

Princess Viserra Targaryen looked very grown yet more beautiful than before. Her long white wavy hair, splashed with blood. Her armor was nearly red, all the blood that had been spilled during those battles. They tried to negotiate peace but it seemed like they Greyjoy's preferred war. All except Dalton Greyjoy who choose to save his remaining family. Dalton's father tried to butcher prince Jacaerys but his princess wife saved him, taking the blow for him, earning the scare that ran from her eyebrow to her cheek. A true Targaryen many began to whisper. Jacaerys held her hand, Viserra regardless of how everything began and her plan to take over the throne through Jacaerys, she came to love him and she hated herself for it.

She spotted the queen who soon rushed over to her and Jacaerys. They greeted her and while Rhaenyra went for her son Alicent went for her. Alicent had a proud look on her face. One reserved just for her. Her children rushed to hug her, they had arrived a few hours prior to them. She spotted Lucerys, he was already looking her. Baela stood beside him, she looked beautiful of course. Hiding behind her was their daughter, Laena. It was the only child they had. Princess Laena was only three summers old, being only one year younger than her half siblings. Lucerys of course could barely keep his eyes off her. She was a true sight. Jace stood tall beside his wife and their children. A true image of the future king and queen of the Seven Kingdoms.

The same evening the announcement was made. Princess Viserra was pregnant with her sixth child and the realm celebrated it. Lucerys had found her near the cliffs. There was a beauty to Casterly Rock. "The years have done right by you" she heard a voice. "I suppose" she replied without looking as she knew who it was. There was a brief silence. "Are you happy?" she heard. "I am. I really can't complain" she replied. "Are you?" she asked him. "Am I what?" Lucerys asked. "Are you happy?" he said nothing. He was. Baela made him happy but she was no Viserra. "I am. Baela and I get along well. We have one daughter" she nodded. "Do you plan to have more children?" Viserra asked. "We've never talk it about. Baela wished for no children at all but she knew we had to have heirs. So, Laena would be our only child" she nodded. "Baela and I... we haven't laid together since we married. She prefers other types of food. Although I believe our taste is very similar" he said with a smile. Hinting that lady Baela preferred women over men.

There was another silence. "She knows" he said. "About our night together before our wedding" Viserra said nothing. "She also has a theory" he began. "Which is?" she asked although she could imagine what it was. "She believes Baelon and Alyssa are my children" Viserra stayed quiet. Thankfully the two were the only people around. "Are they mine?" he asked. Hope laced in his voice. "Yes" she replied. It was whispered but he heard her. Loud and clear for him. He smiled. Proudly. He had a son and another daughter with the woman he loved. "You are aware that you'll never be able to claim them as your own, right?" he nodded. Of course he knew. "But, if you could, maybe they could spend summers in Driftmark with their "uncle" Lucerys" she nodded. "I'll speak with Jace and we'll discuss the idea" he nodded.

Prince Lucerys began to walk away but stopped have way. "Just so you know, even if the years have passed, I still love you the same way in loved you nearly eight years ago" he said before he walked away. "I will love you forever, Lucerys" she whispered, the wind taking away her words. Years later, Daenerys Targaryen asked her mother about the diaries of queen Viserra Targaryen where she spoke of her many adventures and her two greatest loves. One was her husband king Jacaerys Velaryon and the second was her good brother Lucerys Velaryon.

Her mother loved her Viserra Targaryen's stories. She married Jacaerys out of duty but prince Lucerys was her one true love. And ironically, Daenerys' mother was queen Viserra Targaryen the IV who married Rhaegar Targaryen out of duty but she married their brother Lucerys out of love. She managed to do what her ancestor didn't. She married her one true love. Prince Lucerys Velaryon.

They said that on his dying breath prince Lucerys said none word only. "Viserra" and then, he passed. They met again in the after life, where they lived happy ever after.
