𝙾𝙷, 𝙻𝙾𝙾𝙺 𝚆𝙷𝙰𝚃 𝚆𝙴 𝙱𝙴𝙲𝙰𝙼𝙴

Adara was... happy even when Klaus was always breathing down her neck to be careful and safe. For those who didn't know who or what he was thought it was a cute thing. Adara was annoyed about it at first but as the weeks rolled by, she got used to it. It was in those weeks that her and Klaus got close. If you asked her how it happened she wouldn't be able to tell you. She didn't know. Klaus was just always there.

Adara didn't know if she had feelings for Klaus. She thought she hated him but somehow he was there to help her forget about Jacob. Klaus had plans. He wanted to drain every ounce of blood from her body and just get gone with it. That was it. He was gonna make it fast or so he said to himself. But, he saw her. She too was broken, just like him. And it all fit when she told him what she was.

|| FLASHBACK ||

"I hate it" she said as she looked at the stars. "Hate what, love?" he asked. "Being what I am" Adara replied. "A doppelgänger?" Klaus asked, he wanted to know if they were both talking about the same thing. "No. A hybrid" she replied. Klaus was in shocked and in disbelief. Another like him? But she wasn't made, she was born a hybrid. "My father was a werewolf and my mother was a witch" she added. "I didn't even know I was a witch nor a werewolf till a few months ago. It all happened so fast. It was also near the time I found about the supernatural and everything in between" Klaus simply listened. He had never met anyone like him nor her. Klaus showed his hybrid eyes and she did the same. He smirked.

"Fascinating" he said in low tone but she heard. "In my thousand years on this earth I've never met anyone like you or me" he told her. "You'll make plenty like you soon" Adara replied. "Are you going to kill me?" Adara asked him. Truth be told, neither of them had talked about how this whole ordeal was gonna work or if he was gonna kill her or not. He caressed her cheek. "No" was all he said.

|| NOW ||

Stefan and Adara and a bumpy friendship ever since Klaus walked into Adara's life. Fall had finally hit the small town of Forks. Snow was falling like waterfalls and Adara was loving it. Klaus had gone back to Mystic Falls to speak to his brother and begin his new testing on werewolves. Adara would never say it out loud nor admit it to Klaus but she was missing the hybrid. But she was doing everything and anything to distract herself.

The girl was heading to the reserve to see the pack. It took her sometime but she forgave them and moved in from what happened. She even spoke to the Cullens and they were all friends again. She arrived to Sam's house and that's when everything started to go wrong. Bella had arrived after being invited by Jacob. Adara didn't care, Bella didn't even know what had happened between Adara and Jacob before they broke up but she did know a few days after Bella told her about the Cullens.

Adara didn't mind though. She wasn't bother by it. But, as the time went on everyone saw how "close" they were. Paul had left and sometime later he came back with beers. Everyone was enjoying themselves and having fun until they weren't. Paul was the one who unwrapped the mess. "Hey, Jake?" everyone got quite as they heard Paul talk. "Yeah?" the shifter replied. "How long have you been fucking Bella Swan?" Adara was in utter disbelief, truth be told, everyone was. "You're fucking Bella? Are you kidding me?" Leah asked Jacob. She was angry for Adara who to everyone's surprise was quiet. More like she was in shocked about the turn of events.

Bella laughs awkwardly and nervously as Jacob stays quiet. "Wha-what are you talking about?" Bella asks nervously. "How long have you been fucking Jacob?" Paul asks her this time. "I'm not" Jacob and her say at the same time. Finally, Adara snaps out of her shock. "What are you talking about?" she asks him. "Well, I just, I saw her get on his motorcycle and then kiss him and ride off. That was like what?" she looked at the two of them. "Like a month or two ago" Paul said surely. "Uh..." Bella had no words. None. Neither did Jacob for that matter.

"Are you kidding me?" Adara asked. "Bella, that's like really bad" Seth says. "No... I.." Bella was at loss of words, tumbling over her own words to try and explain. "You're fucking Jake, are you kidding me?" Adara asks once again. "No. I don't even know why he would say that" Bella tried to defend herself because Jacob was not doing it. It was like he didn't care for her. "You're lying!" Adara said as she felt herself getting angrier by the minute. "Can we just table this conversation?" Sam asked. "No. No, you expect me to stand here next to my best friend who's been lying to me about fucking my ex boyfriend?! I'm literally gonna get violent!" she yelled as Bella started to cry. "No. There's no need to get violent" Emily said. "No when we were having a nice get together" she added.

Adara saw the tears in Bella's eyes and that completely set her off. "Oh, you're crying?! You're fucking crying!" she yells as she walks over to her. Seth walking right behind her. "Addy!" he says as he tries to stop her. "You're the one who's hurt?!" Adara yells. "You're the most self-centered idiotic person I've ever fucking met! You fuck my ex and your fucking crying?!" she asks. "Are you fucking kidding me?!" she asks. Everyone began to argue and talk over everyone else.

"I don't even know why you're believing him, his an alcoholic!" Bella yelled over everyone talking. "How long have you been fucking him? Be honest" Adara asked. She was giving her a chance to tell the truth. "Addy. Let's just do it later" Seth told her. "Seth, please shut the fuck up!" she yelled as she gently pushed him away from her. "How long have you been fucking him, Isabella?!" Adara asked once again. She turned to Paul. "Paul, when was this?" she asked him and everyone held their breathes for the moment of truth. "When was this?" she asked once again. "Right after you two broke up" he replied and it all made sense for Adara.

Bella sneaking out, lying, keeping secrets, her avoiding Adara, Jacob not calling her, coming over for no reason. It had made sense and all she saw was red. "You dumb fucken bitch, I'm gonna fuck you up!" Adara yelled as Bella took off running. "Don't run away from me you stupid bitch!" she yelled as she chased after her. Bella runs into the bathroom to hide. Adara starts hitting the door. "Open the fucken door, Bella" Adara said as she pounded on the door. "Open the door and tell me it was worth it. You owe me that" she added.

Adara was desperate. She wanted to open the door and look at Isabella right in her eyes. Why? Why would she betray her like that? She was like a sister to her. She knew everything about her. She rattle the door nob. "Open the fucken door, Bella!" pain was evident in her voice. "What kind of fucken sister are you?" she asked as she finally let the tears fall. "What the fuck?" inside the bathroom, Isabelle was falling apart. It sounded stupid since she was the one who fucked her sister's ex. She crossed the line and she knew it. But now, there was no going back.

"This isn't about Jake. This is about you and me and our friendship. And if you want to throw it away then fine, cause I don't want to be fucken friends with you. Just tell me it was worth it" Leah was there to comfort her. "I'm sick of it" she cried. "He put me through hell and now his with my fucken best friend! Like what the fuck? When is this gonna end?" she asked Leah. "It's fucked up. I'm sorry" the shifter said as she tried to comfort her. "Open the fucken door, Bella. Open the fucken door!" she begged as she hit and pounded on the door. "Open the door!" she said as she kept hitting it "You're a fucken coward. You're a fucken coward" she repeated over and over. "I would've never done this to you. I would've never done this to you" Adara said before walking away.

Adara called the person she knew would answer. "Hello, love" he answered. All Klaus could hear was sniffing and quiet sobs. "Love, what's wrong?" he asked. "He was sleeping with her" she replied. Klaus was confused but he knew who he was. Jacob Black. "Who was he sleeping with?" he asked. She began to cry harder. "He was sleeping with-" she didn't get to finish her sentence as someone stood in the middle of the road. She hit the breaks but her car stopped too quickly and it flipped. All Klaus heard at the other end was her scream before the line went dead.

The person began to approach her. She panicked and tried to take off the seatbelt. As the person leaned down someone else rushed over too making the person disappeared as quick as lighting. "You alright?" the other person said as he popped his head down to where she was. She nodded. "I'm just stuck" he nodded. "I'm gonna cut the seatbelt. Put your hands up so you can old yourself" she nodded. He cut the seatbelt and helped her out. "Thank yo-" before she finished her sentence she passed out. The man had no choice but to take her home. To his home.

When Adara came to she was in a familiar room. It wasn't hers but she recognized it. It was... Stefan's. "Hey" she heard someone say. She turned to the door, Stefan was leaning against the door frame. "Hey" she replied. She gently grabbed her head. "How did I get here?" she asked. "Someone tried to get you. They were waiting for you, when you tried to stop the car it was too late and you flipped. You had a minor concussion but you'll be okay. Damon, my brother, he was the one who found you" she nodded. "Remind me to thank him later" Stefan nodded.

"Klaus called. He wanted to make sure you were okay" she nodded. "I'll make sure to call him later" he once again nodded. "I heard" he began. "All I can say, is that it'll be okay" she nodded. She was sure she was out of tears at that point. "It's funny, you know?" she asked. "What?" Stefan asked. "It's not even about Jacob. It's about her. Bella. She was my best friend, my favorite person. She was the person I trusted the most. The person I depended on the most" she took a deep breathe. "I expected that from everyone else but not her, you know?" she asked and he nodded. Stefan knew exactly what she meant. He had been through that plenty of times. "I don't know how I'm gonna move past this. I don't think I'll ever be able to trust her again. Not after this" she said as she felt the tears forming in her eyes.

Stefan held her had. "After our second time "breaking up" I knew he and I would always be a losing. And I was right" she told him. "I would've never done this to either of them, Stef. Never" the vampire brought her into a hug. He allowed her to cry all she wanted. She had to let it out. "In then end, Stefan. Love, is the thing that hurts you the most. Because in the end, no matter what, it hurts just the same" she said as she cried into his arms.

Hours later, Klaus was back. Stefan and Damon were asleep as was Adara. The hybrid could tell she had been crying. A lot. He caressed her cheek. "I'll always protect you, love. Always" he whispered as he vanished as quickly as he came.
