一 ardyce's pov

"i haven't eaten all day." i groaned, dramatically falling on hayes' shoulder. i rubbed my stomach and he laughed at me, grabbing my hand.

the whole thrasher squad were in this pizza diner in town. on one side of the both sat hayes, myself, and alex. then on the added table, wesley and noel. on the other side sat parker, freya, and rain. also on the added table were hester and jacob.

they were all loudly talking and causing a scene probably from how weird we all looked. in all honesty this was our spot on most weekends so the workers were used to us. it was nice having hayes with us this time.

"i offered you food today."

"i wasn't going to eat your food hayes. i don't like taking things from people."

"you took my jacket." he pointed out, making me look down. indeed i was wearing his hoodie. it was cold so that was besides the point.

"you caught me." i laughed. at that moment our pizza came, i squeal making everyone at the table look at me. "guys i'm not saying this again, i haven't eaten all day." i say being the first person to reach for a slice.

"your boyfriend didn't feed you?" rain half joked.

i heard hayes huff. "i tried."

i looked over at him. he didn't even deny it. we weren't dating, were we?

"he's not my boyfriend." i assured her. once again everyone at the table looked at me with bored expressions.

"yet." hayes spoke up before anyone could.

parker raised his hand to fist bump hayes then then turned to me. "don't be leading my boy on then friend zone him."

i'd never friend zone hayes. after countless conversations and that kissed we shared i would love to be more than friends.
