一 hayes' pov

ardyce seemed to have a love hate relationship with wesley. she was determined to know what he said to me but i promised i'd tell her later. i kinda didn't want to tell her because honestly it really was between me and him and she would find out soon.

at first i was nervous as to why wesley wanted to speak to me but he ended up giving me advice. then mostly saying he'd beat my ass if i hurt ardyce in any way.

ardyce continued to drag me in different stores buying whatever she wanted. it psyched me at first but i remembered she was the only child and this cute girl was spoiled.

"how are these?" she questioned me coming out the dressing room.

"i like those." i told her. she was trying on something other than her usual dark ones.

ardyce nodded, walking back into the stall. she looked up at me as she was closing the door catching my eyes, i winked at her.

she bit her lip, blushing. i think she likes me but i wasn't quite sure. i mean wesley told me that she did but i wanted to know from her. i'd find out though.

ardyce came back out in her regular clothes, not looking at me. "okay, let's go."

she made her way to the cash register and i hesitantly followed. she just straight up ignored me. taking a twenty out and handing to the lady behind the register, "i got it."

"you don't have to but thanks." she said giving me a small smile. i nodded telling her it was no problem as she got her bag and we left the store.

ardyce was quiet for a while as we walked around the huge mall. i mostly followed her. i grabbed her hand making her walk along with me. "are you ignoring me?"

"no-"

"yes you are, what's up?" i raised my eyebrows looking down at her. we walked out the mall making our way back to the other side of town.

"i was just really wondering what wes said to you. i also want to know why you're acting like this." ardyce spoke looking down at our hands.

"what wesley said isn't important, i'd rather not talk about it. and i can't hold your hand?"

"i mean you can but why would you want to?" she questioned me. was i missing something here? "i'm sorry, that was dumb."

"what's the problem here, ardyce?"

"i'm just pretty sure i like you. doesn't that seem weird that we just met a few weeks ago? or maybe i'm just like really fucking insecure..." she rambled on. i stopped walking which made her stop since out hands were intertwined.

"ardyce.."

"what?"

"you like me?"

"i'm pretty sure i said that." ardyce mumbled, looking away.

"i like you too," i smiled, making her look at me. "probably even more but yeah."

cupping her face in my hands i gently placed my lips on hers. she seemed shocked at first but that didn't stop me. i continued to kiss her and she gripped my shirt in her small hands.

i pulled away, smiling at her. "don't ignore me again."
