Okay, today is the day.

The day for what?

"The day I'm going to get my dear Washijo sensei to meow~ like a little kitty. MUHAAHHA"

Right...
I think you're insane.

"And whose fault is that?" I glared at the little cat I was holding in my hands.

You mean to tell me that there was a time when you weren't insane?

"... Fair point"

The little black cat meowed loudly in my arms as I accidentally tugged onto its fur while on the way walking towards Washijo's house.

Hearing the mewl, I raised the little black cat into the air using both arms. Before I noticed something eerily familiar.

"Hey X?"

Hm? What is it?

"Is it just me or does this cat look a lot like Kuroo?"

Nah you must be hallucinating.

" Nono look at that rooster-looking messy hair... Is it not?"

...
Now that you mention it...
Oh, my word. 0-0

Alright, now Kuroo the cat shall go do its job and make Washijo meow.

"Go Kuroo!" I exclaimed releasing the cat into Washijo's house.

I wonder if Coach Washijo likes cats.
Oh well, whatever.

Hey M/N?

"Hm?"

Where did you even get the cat from?

"Off the streets, near the dumpster of course."

(ʘᗩʘ')

"What's wrong?"

What if it has fleas?

"It ain't my problem no more."

...

"Anyways, X have Washijo meowed at the cat yet?"

Not that the system detects, no.

"Darn it! I don't have much time left!"

You have significantly less than a day M/N.

"Well shit! Ain't that great?" I spoke sarcastically, before proceeding to walk away from Washijo's house and into my own. Silently hoping that the system would suddenly alert me that I had completed the mission.

-

Lounging about all day in my bed feels awful. I know that it would've been awesome to everyone else but when you have an internal time ticking timebomb that constantly reminds you that your doom is near, not so much. (insert a very smiley face)

M/N, just a gentle reminder but you only have an hour left till well, game over.

"I know. Don't remind me." I groaned covering myself up with blankets.

Do you not have any more of your ingeniously dumb ideas?

"I'm sucked dry X..."

Pfftt- That's what he said!

"..."

Heh, sorry. I couldn't help myself.

"Yeah..."

Another awkward silence passed before the timer hit the 30 minutes mark.

Time left: 29 minutes

Fuck.

Slowly, I walked out of the house and towards Washijo's house as I sat down on the front of his doorsteps without any intention of knocking or entering. I kind of just accepted my fate, I'm going to fail this mission.

The door clicked open to reveal Washijo. He eyed my sad gloomy-looking figure as I sat on his front porch. Washijo sighed as he sat down beside me.

"What's wrong kiddo?"

I sighed internally as I hyped myself up. Time to lie! I can't tell him it's because he didn't meow at Kuroo the cat now can I?

"It's nothing. I'm just feeling down all of a sudden"

"You sure kid? If you need someone to talk to, I can always listen. You're too young to be stressing out" Washijo spoke, sounding surprisingly soft.

"I guess I'm thinking about my future. There might still be five years more before I enter middle school, and later high school but I'm still unsure as to where I should go, and what the future may hold for me", I answered gazing up towards the blue sky, watching as the clouds sway in the wind.

I wasn't completely lying at this point. After all, regardless of the friends and relations, I make here, I ultimately don't belong here. And I was fully aware of that fact, despite wanting to constantly lie to myself.

Time left: 7 minutes

"Hm M/N, I see your potential in volleyball, especially at this age. How about when you graduate from middle school, you enroll into Shiratorizawa Academy? After all, I'm the coach there for the boy's volleyball team. If you don't like it, you may change anytime.

Time left: 6 minutes

I looked at coach Washijo, upon hearing the not-so-subtle care in his tone that brightened up my mood.
To the point that I even ignored the system as I jokingly said "Oh? Is the great Coach Washijo inviting me to Shiratorizawa?"

"Yes."

Well, that got boring quick... Such an honest answer. But still, I'm kind of touched.

"No thanks" I answered without giving it much of a thought. After all, since I'm in Haikyuu, I'd like to see Shoyo and Kageyama grow. I want to experience Haikyuu as fully as possible, so as to not have any regrets.

Washijo looked so taken aback it was so ridiculously funny that I  burst out laughing, "Bwhahahahahh...your f-face hahah ppft-"

"Damn you vile child. Why? And stop laughing!" Washijo huffed.

"Why? Can't take a rejection, Washijo-san~?" I teased, feeling great.

"No? Don't be absurd. I just don't want any wasted talents. Nothing else okay?"

"Uhhuh~ whatever you say" I chuckled.

"I'm serious though. I'd strongly recommend you come to Shiratorizawa after graduating from middle school in the future" Washijo advertised.

"Okay and that concerns me how?" I grinned playfully.

Washijo deadpanned "*Sigh* What do you want me to do?"

I smirked, "Beg me."

Bonus:

"So it has come to my attention that my dear son, whom I love was running down the streets a few days ago while screaming in fear" My sweet mother looked at me with her brows raised.

"I-I er... Was training my stamina?" My voice trembled at the look she was giving me.

She wasn't glaring at me or anything and her tone of voice was nothing but kindly and soft. However, that's what makes it so terrifying as I can just see all that pent-up rage swimming in her undisguised pupils.

"Is that so? So why was I called up by our dear neighbor Washijo-san informing me of your rude behavior?" My mother's grin widened unnaturally as she forcefully tried to remain calm.

"That snitch" I whispered under my breath softly.

However apparently I wasn't soft enough and my dear mother heard me, "AKIRI M/N!"

Oh fuck.

.......

If you're wondering what my punishment was, I was forced to kneel, facing the wall with a few encyclopedias on my knees as punishment.
It was a long 2 hours I would say. 😣
