Mistake pt 1 (Draft)

That evening I did something stupid.
"Hey Rose!"
"What's up Cass? You seem down."
"Oh, it's nothing." I brushed her off. I took a deep breath. I had to psych myself to say it. "Can I come over?" That was stupid.
"Of course! I'll pick you up!" She said cheerily.

After Rose picked me up, we headed to her house. She rambled on and on about some guy that she liked. Rose was more of an acquaintance than a friend. I really wouldn't call her a friend per say, but she always knew how to turn a bad day into a better time. Mostly by partying. She had been partying for as long as I had known her. And that had been almost a year by that time.

"Hey, I know the best way to get you in a better mood!"

"Don't say it," I mumbled.

"There's a party a couple of houses down from mine." She said.

"I don't want to g-" she cut me off before I could finish my sentence.

"You're going! Of course you're gonna have to borrow some of my stuff, but I think I can make it work." she continued on. She led me into her small house. It was pretty. Decorated with lights, flowers, bright colors, and motivational signs on the walls. I wasn't surprised. It fit her personality perfectly. Perky, happy, bright, and at times, overwhelming.

She walked me to her room. It had a giant bed in the middle and very little space to do anything unless it was on the bed. There was a dent in the wall near her closet. She dramatically opened her closet quickly and the door handle slammed against the walls.

'Now I get it.' I thought.

It was a small closet, but it was stuffed with clothes. She tried to push them aside, but they wouldn't budge. Instead she took an armful and tossed them onto her bed. She did it again. There was a pile over four feet on her bed. They all tipped over and I tried to grab them.

"Eh, just drop 'em. It's fine." She said while pushing the clothes apart.

"Aha!" She exclaimed. I sighed. This wasn't going to be good. This was gonna be a mistake. She was in the back of her closet rummaging through a bunch of things. The clothes didn't stay apart for long and all I could see was the top of a black bun and the back of a pair of blue Doc Martins. She emerged with a bright smile. I raised my eyebrows at what she was holding.

"Yeah, no not gonna-" she covered my mouth with her hand. "You're going to!" She squealed and pursed her lips. "This is gonna be great!"
