SkySports: F1 world shocked by Zhou Guanyu first-corner Silverstone crash

TOWCESTER, ENGLAND - The F1 world waited with bated breath this morning after a horrific crash going into the Silverstone Circuit's first corner overturned Zhou Guanyu's Alfa Romeo, with the car pressed up against the fence that divided the track from the crowd.

Autosport: Stephanie Carlin: "I'm amazed that Dakota survived her Red Bull years."

MILTON KEYNES - In a report released today by the McManus probe ahead of their impending decision, Rodin Carlin deputy principal Stephanie Carlin stated that she was "amazed and shocked that Dakota [McManus] survived her Red Bull years."

"I'm sitting there, looking at medical reports and listening to her trainer and her dietician and the people that really knew her, and with everything that I've heard, I am floored by the incompetence within the Red Bull driver's academy. What we've been seeing in her medical reports is very similar to what one would have seen from someone who developed an eating disorder. How can a racing team let this happen to one of their own drivers?"

dakotaelaineee this weekend has been a rough one, silverstone. above all, i am grateful to modern tech like the halo for saving zhouguanyu out there today. though he's new to our world, he has quickly become a close friend of mine, and i am thankful that he was able to walk away from that crash today.

additionally, this weekend i spoke with the team tasked with investigating my years in the rbda. this is a group of women that i greatly respect and look up to in this industry. and i want to be entirely honest with you today: regardless of whatever decision that these wonderful women come to, i do not want any part in it. this is not a decision that i take lightly. i'm not trying to make enemies in this industry, i'm trying to put something traumatic behind me. part of coming to terms with what happened to me was to come clean to the media. what i hope, is that my experience can stop something like this from happening to any other young women trying to break into this sport.
