3rd POV

"The authorities believe last night assailant may also be linked to the missing campers and park ranger who have yet to be found. As well as 25-year-old Jessica Konig reported missing this morning. The sheriff's department says investigations are pending and no further comment will be made. In related news, Mayor Lockwood spoke earlier today." Said the TV in the kitchen of the Gilbert household.

John was preparing his coffee, while Nyra was nearing the kitchen.

Nyra scoffed at the TV.

It was obvious to her that Damon is the one that killed Jessica.

"Due to the recent tragedies that have plagued our town, we will be holding a memorial in Townsquare today, to honor all those we have lost. Join us in hopes as a community, we can begin to heal"

The TV changed and showed Mayor Lockwood.

"Morning" John said as he turned off the TV.

"What are you doing here?" Elena questioned harshly.

Nyra poured herself a cup of coffee, trying to avoid being added to the conversation.

"Coffee?" John asks, trying to evade the question Elena threw at him.

"We're not doing that. We did that last night. No more avoiding. Why are you here?" Elena responds annoyed that he has been avoiding her questions.

"I'm here to protect you and Nyra. That's all I can say for the moment" John says as he glances between said Twins.

"What do you mean that's all you can say?" Elena asks in irritation.

"I'll tell you more when I'm convinced I can trust you," John says causing Nyra to scoff at his ridiculous words.

Nyra would've asked John some questions, but she feels uncomfortable because this is her first time meeting her birth father and he has given a bad first impression so far.

Unfortunately, he has been an ass.

"Oh god I'm late," Jenna says as she enters the kitchen hurriedly.

"That's what you get for hitting the snooze button three times"Alaric replied as he trailed behind Jenna.

Jenna then froze when she finally noticed the presence of John.

"What the hell?" She says slowly in confusion.

"Hey, good morning to you, Jenna. Alaric." John says to them arrogantly.

"It's okay, I'm confused, right? Because we were not expecting you like, ever" Jenna says to John slightly irritated.

"Well, I got in late last night. Elena let me in." John responds as he takes a few steps towards Elena.

Nyra was feeling even more uncomfortable because she felt like she shouldn't be witnessing any of this.

Alaric seemed to feel the same way and they looked at each other knowingly.

"Well, I think I'm going to take off," Nyra says as she walks towards the exit of the kitchen. She did not like the direction the conversation was heading to.

"You know, I should probably go too," Alaric said to Jenna as he left the kitchen with Nyra following.

"Well, that was awkward," Nyra said as she walked to her room.

Alaric chuckled before nodding in agreement as he started walking out the front door.

"See you later," Nyra says as she walks up the stairs so she can change.

Nyra took her time changing into a simple black T-shirt, white shorts, and a pair of black combat boots.

Once she put on her long black cardigan, Her phone started to ring.

Nyra picked it up and noticed it was Caroline.

Nyra clicked the green button to accept the call and brought her phone up to her ear.

"Hey," Nyra said as she put the phone on speaker so she could put her hair in a ponytail.

"I need you to come to my house like right now" Caroline started before she started rambling.

Nyra tightened her ponytail before interrupting Caroline.

"Hey, slow down. I didn't understand what you said" Nyra said confused.

"Tyler knows Damon, Stefan and I are... you know what and I need to explain it to you with Stefan" Caroline said nervously.

Nyra rolled her eyes and grabbed her car keys.

"I'm on my way," Nyra says before hanging up.

Nyra quickly went down the stairs and passed a confused Elena.

"Caroline needs me. Bye," Nyra lets out as she walks to her car.

She drove to Caroline's house and saw Stefan exit his car.

She turns the ignition off and walks to the front door after Stefan knocks.

"What's wrong" Stefan asks concerned as he walks into the house.

Caroline opened the door and closed it after Nyra walked in.

"Tyler knows about you and Damon. He knows that Damon killed Mason. I didn't say a word" Caroline said nervously.

"It's that bitch, Jules," Nyra says as she follows Caroline along with Stefan.

"She had a run-in with Damon" Stefan added in as he brought the back of his hand up to his forehead.

"Tyler was so upset. The look on his face, he was so betrayed." Caroline said guiltily.

"Oh wow this is bad," Stefan said and Nyra started to drag her hands down her face.

"You both aren't gonna tell Damn, are you?" Caroline questioned as she stopped Stefan and Nyra.

"No" They both reply before continuing.

"He already wants to kill him. He thinks all werewolves should die, and he's not wrong to think that, Caroline" Stefan started.

"Hey," Nyra pipes up defensively.

"No offense," Stefan says to Nyra before continuing.

"What If Tyler tries to retaliate? He has every right to."

"He can get himself killed, and that will raise suspicions" Nyra adds.

"Well, we're not going to let that happen. Yeah, we have to get to him and reason with him before he does something stupid" Caroline started before looking towards Stefan.

"You have to talk to him. Just try to explain you know? You always know the right things to say, ok? He and I... we're friends" Caroline finishes.

Nyra groans, gaining the attention of the two vampires.

"What am I doing here then?" Nyra asks confused.

"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that he knows about you too," Caroline says smiling brightly.

Nyra raises her eyebrows surprised.

"Oh, that wolf-bitch Jules is dead"

After they finished their talk, Nyra went home, took a nap, and then decided to go on a jog.

First, she changed her shoes and decided to not take her cardigan.

She grabbed her headphones and ran towards the woods.

As she was jogging around the woods, she kept hearing rustling.

Her music was on high blast, and that made it hard for her to notice the people running behind her.

Suddenly two figures grabbed her and stabbed a syringe full of wolfsbane in her neck.

She gasped and threw off her attackers.

She yanked her earphones and grabbed at her neck.

She looked around and saw other people coming towards her.

She smirked before attacking them.

She flipped a couple over her shoulder and socked the rest.

They soon recovered and attacked her at the same time.

Two of the attackers, each tried to stab her with wolfsbane but she dodged them and broke the syringes.

She started getting a little weak but still continued to fend them off.

"What the hell is this chick on?" One of the guys said.

"Jules said this girl was strong," Another guy said.

Nyra scoffed at their words.

Of course, they are werewolves, she thought.

After a while, her vision started getting blurry.

She could still fight but the first dose of wolfsbane that they stabbed her with, weakened Nyra.

She fell to the floor and tried to get up.

"What the hell? Is she still conscious?" Nyra heard a girl's voice say.

One of the werewolves stepped on Nyra's back and stabbed her with the 2nd dose.

Nyra then quickly passed out.

When Nyra woke up, the first thing she noticed was the loud groans.

She opened her eyes and looked around.

She was in a cage and noticed that Caroline was in an identical one right next to her, with a bullet wound on her head.

Caroline was the one groaning because she pulled a bullet out of her head.

"Are you okay?" Nyra asked worriedly.

She was still weak but could feel herself recovering from the 7 dosages of wolfsbane.

"Yeah, it's just a bullet wound and it's already healing" Caroline replied, before looking around and whimpering.

Nyra sat on her knees and noticed a guy looking at Caroline who was struggling to unlock the cages.

"I see you got the bullet out. That was nasty. I got lots of wooden bullets." He said to Caroline in a monotone voice as he gained sobs.

"Other toys," Brady said as he glanced toward Nyra, who scoffed at him in disgust.

"It's going to be a long night, sweat peas," He said slowly.

He then quickly pulls a gun out and shoots Caroline in the chest.

Nyra lunges at him through the bars angrily.

"Stop!" Nyra screams as she shakes the bars.

Brady smirks and shoots the brunette in the leg.

Blood gushed out but shockingly it soon receded, which caused Nyra to smirk smugly.

She doesn't react, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of seeing her in pain.

He looks at her angrily before shooting Nyra's again but this time in her arm.

The doppelganger was doing it on purpose, so she could take his attention off Caroline.

It proved to be working.

After a couple of seconds, Nyra pulled both bullets out without flinching.

Her wounds quickly healed.

A couple of drops of blood fell onto her white shorts.

"You're going to die for that" She snarls.

The door of the RV suddenly opened up, which gained Nyra's attention.

Jules walked in while holding up a phone.

"He needs proof"

Brady raises his eyebrows before shooting Caroline.

She screamed out loud, which caused Nyra's anger to increase.

She tried calming herself down.

Nyra was trying to save her anger for the right moment to escape.

Jules walked out satisfied.

Nyra glared at Brady in disgust.

"Why are you doing this?" She asks as she gestures to Caroline and her bullet wounds.

Brady scoffs before shooting the werewolf in her abdomen.

"I don't need a reason to hurt people like you," He said as Nyra grunted.

'The bullet most likely hit her liver, that's why it hurts so much,' Nyra thought.

"I'm going to kill you. You stained my favorite shorts" Nyra snarled.

He then smirks as he kneels towards Caroline.

"So... how many vampires are in this town anyway?" he questioned Caroline.

Caroline stayed quiet, which caused him to shoot her with a gun filled with vervain.

She screamed as her skin burned.

Nyra then stood up shaking the bars again, gaining Brady's attention.

"She doesn't know okay? I do, I'm a hunter" Nyra starts before Brady shoots her with a different gun.

The feeling of the liquid felt like hot water, but it didn't burn her skin as much as Caroline.

Nyra snickers smugly at Brady's surprised expression.

"Why are you doing this to us?" Caroline screamed, causing Nyra's heart to fill with anger.

"You're a vampire and she is well... a vampire sympathizer"

Brady starts before shooting a vervain dart into Caroline's neck.

"I'm sorry. What was that?" he says mockingly.

Nyra tries to refrain from attacking him.

She knows it isn't the time to attack, she still needs to save her strength.

She just growls at him while flashing her amber eyes.

"Let us out!!! Let us out!!!" Caroline screams while shaking the bars.

After a few minutes, the sound of fighting is heard.

Nyra felt the whiff of werewolf blood fly through her nostrils.

A frantic-looking Tyler ran into the RV and saw Caroline and Nyra in cages.

"Tyler. There's a latch on the door. And I can't get to it. Tyler?" Caroline pleaded.

Nyra growled at the fact that Tyler didn't even make a move to help Caroline.

Nyra used all her anger and focused it on the bars.

She wouldn't usually think about even trying but something was telling her she would have enough strength to break out.

She felt a rush go through her veins as she bent the bars of her cage.

Caroline and Tyler look at her in shock.

Nyra then opens Caroline's cage.

Tyler then decided to help Caroline out of the cage.

Nyra looked at him annoyed and rolled her eyes.

"Get her out of here," She says before running out of the RV.

Nyra attacked the werewolf who was running towards Damon.

She used Elijah as an example and plunged her hand into the werewolf's chest before ripping his heart out and throwing it to the ground.

Her presence started to become known.

Another werewolf decided to test her luck against the brunette but found herself with a broken neck, courtesy of Nyra who was filled with anger.

The sound of two gunshots filled the air.

She felt pain rip through her back but that didn't stop her from continuing her war path.

She turned around and saw Damon lying on the floor while Jules pointed a gun at Caroline.

Nyra saw that Brady was getting up so she shifted into her full wolf form and ran towards him.

She tackled him off of Damon and was about to bite his head off before Brady started to scream in pain while holding his head.

Nyra looked up confused until the scent of magic filled her nose.

All the werewolves started to drop to the ground in pain.

"What the hell is going on?" Tyler asks confused as he glances between Nyra and the warlock.

Nyra rolls her eyes at him.

She then helps Damon up and walks towards Stefan.

She nudges her head against his chest which causes Stefan to grab Nyra so he can stand up.

"Elijah made a promise to Nyra and Elena. I'm here to see it's upheld. You need to go" Jonah says causing Nyra to walk towards Caroline.

"Get out of here. Now"

Nyra, Caroline, Stefan, and Damon walk away in response.

When they got to the cars, Stefan led Caroline away. While Damon motioned towards Nyra.

"Come on, You're with me," Damon says as he opens the back door of his car.

Nyra jumps in and tries to fit in.

Her wolf form was still too big to fit in the car.

Damon huffed before taking his jacket off.

"You just had to ruin the fun," He said smirking.

Nyra rolled her eyes before shifting back.

She used Damon's jacket to cover herself up.

The jacket reached above her thighs but was long enough to cover everything up.

"Thanks" Nyra replies as she sits in the passenger's seat.

"I'm glad you're okay," Damon says to Nyra causing her to smile.

"Damon Salvatore worried about little old me?" Nyra says teasingly.

He smirks before shaking his head.

"I've lost a friend all ready" He replies losing his smirk.

She frowns at his response.

"You won't lose me. I can take care of myself" Nyra says confidently.

Damon laughs in response.

"Clearly. You almost ripped that guy's head off" Damon says as he turns the ignition of his car on.

Nyra smiled before laughing.

"Clearly you can't," She said jokingly, causing Damon to laugh.

"You're freaking huge," Damon said to Nyra, making her confused.

He realized that it sounded wrong.

"I mean, your wolf form is huge in comparison to Jules"

Damon added trying to justify his thoughts.

Nyra scoffed before chuckling.

"You barely noticed?" She said as Damon drove away from the woods.

He smirked before chuckling.

"No, I just wanted to let you know, because you're no regular werewolf," Damon said in seriousness.

Nyra looked at him confused and agreed with him.

"Yeah, I'm stronger, and I'm more resilient against wolfsbane. Weird" Nyra said mumbling the last part.

"Well, this is where we part"Damon responded as he got out of the car and used his vampire speed to open Nyra's door.

She smiled at him while clutching his jacket closer to her body.

"Thank you. For everything"

Damon gave her a small smile before opening the driver's door.

Nyra was going to walk inside her house but stopped last minute.

She turned around and approached the blue-eyed vampire.

She felt like she might regret her actions, but decided to take the risk.

She lightly punched his shoulder.

"See you tomorrow," She said before running inside.

When Nyra entered the house, she saw Elena run towards her.

"Oh my god, are you okay?" Elena said as she clutched her in a tight hug.

Nyra chuckled before squeezing Elena.

"I'm naked but fine," Nyra said as she gestured to her legs.

Elena covered her eyes before nodding.

"You should go change, but we have to talk about you and Caroline," Elena said sternly.

Nyra rolled her eyes but nodded.

"Okay, mom. I'm going" Nyra said causing both of the twins to laugh.

"I need to shower"

Walking into her room, Nyra noticed that her bay window was left open causing the curtains to flow from the wind.

She walked towards the restroom and turned the shower on.

Nyra unzipped Damon's jacket and let it drop to the floor.

She walked to her dresser completely bare and felt a gust of wind come through her room.

She turned around but heard another gust.

Nyra shrugged before heading towards her restroom, jumping into the hot water.

She tilted her head up with her eyes closed, letting the water cleanse her face.

As she turned around and wiped the water from her eyes, she gasped.

There stood the eldest Salvatore in all his naked glory.

The first thing he did was push Nyra against the shower wall.

He then proceeded to crash his lips against Nyra.

She closed her eyes before kissing him back softly.

After a few seconds, she pulled away only to see the green eyes of a smirking Stefan Salvatore.

"NYRA!"

She heard before waking up gasping.

Nyra clutched the sheets around her.

It was just a dream.

'a very fucked up dream' Nyra thought.

She gazed under her covers and saw that she was in her pajamas.

She let out a breath of relief.

That was the weirdest dream she has had in a while, if she should even count it as a dream, it's more like a nightmare.

"Nyra"

She heard and quickly turned her head towards the doorway of her room, where Elena stood.

"C'mon Caroline needs us"

Once all the girls including Stefan arrive, they all walk towards the door.

Stefan then blocks the view of the girls and knocks on the door.

Caroline quickly opens it

"What's going on?" Caroline questions.

"I was a little bit worried about you after everything you went through tonight," Stefan said worriedly.

"I'm fine"

"Good but just in case, I brought some backup" Stefan responds before moving to the side.

Nyra, Elena, and Bonnie walk towards the doorway.

"We're gonna slumber it" Elena responds.

"We haven't done it in ages, and this is Nyra's first one" Bonnie adds in.

Caroline cries and they embrace each other.

Elena looks at Stefan and tells him she loves him.

He responds by telling her that he loves her.
