Dean is asleep in his bed, While Elena is Asleep in Sam's Bed, Sam pauses and looks at them before leaving the room.

A car pulls up outside Sam gets in the passenger side and Ruby is driving.

"Ready?" Ruby Asks

"Definitely." Sam Says

Dean is dreaming. There are flashes of his terrified face, in red, and the sound of screams. He wakes to find Castiel sitting on his bed.

"Hello, Dean. What were you dreaming about?" Castiel Asks

"What, do you get your freak on by watching other people sleep? What do you want?" Dean Says Then Elena Wakes Up

"What The Hell Are You Tw0 Oh God......Castiel" Elena Says

"Hello Elena" Castiel Says

"..Hi" Elena Says Then She Moves Over to Deans Bed

"Ok Listen to me. You have to stop it." Castiel Says

"Stop what?" Dean Asks As Castiel puts two fingers to Dean and Elena's forehead.

STREET

Dean is sleeping on a bench and Elena is asleep on top of him

"Move it Hey you two can't sleep here." Officer Says
As Dean and Elena Wake Up

"Okay...sleep... where?" Dean Says

"Anywhere but here." Police Officer Says

"Uhh Elena" Dean Says

"Oh Sorry About That" Elena Says As She Gets off Dean

Dean tries to make a call on his cell, but gets no signal.

"Perfect, you got anything?" Dean Asks

"Nah I got nothing" Elena Says

"Come On" Dean Says As he and Elena gets up and they enters 'JAY BIRD'S DINER'.

JAY BIRDS DINER

Dean and Elena sits at the diner's counter next to a Young Man.

"Hey, where the hell am I?" Dean Asks

"Jay Bird's Diner." He Says

"Yeah, thanks. I mean, uh... city and state." Dean Says

"Lawrence, Kansas." He Says

"Lawrence, oh great" Elena Says

"Hey, you two okay?" He Asks

"Yeah, tough night." Dean Says

"Hey, uh, coffees here, Reg." He Says

"Okay, coming right up." Reg Says As Dean pulls his cell phone from his pocket.

"Can you tell me where I can get reception on this thing?" Dean Asks

"The USS Enterprise?" He Says As Dean and Elena looks at Reg as he brings the coffee over, Reg is dressed in 1970s hippie gear – think early Sonny Bono.

"Thank You" Elena Says

"nice threads. You know Sonny and Cher broke up, right?" Dean Says

"Sonny and Cher broke up?" He Asks As Dean and Elena looks around the diner and notices everyone is dressed in 1970s-era clothes. Dean and Elena looks at the newspaper the Man is reading. The headline reads "Nixon accepts resignation of top..." and the date is Monday, April 30, 1973. Dean mouths the words "Seventy three." A Man enters the diner.

"Hey, Winchester." He Says As Dean and the Man look around. The Man shakes the hand of the Young Man.

"Son of a bitch. How you doing, Corporal?" He Says

"Hey, Mr. D." Young Man Says

"I heard you were back. " The Man Says

"Yeah, a little while now." Young Man Says

"Good to have you home, John, damn good." The Man Says As Dean and Elena Looks At Each other shocked Then Dean Looks At John

"Oh My God" Elena Says

"Dad?" Dean Says

"Well, say hello to your old man for me." The Man Says

"You got it, Mr. D." John Says Then he notices Dean and Elena staring at him.

"Do we know each other?" John Asks

"I guess not." Dean Says Then John  gets up to leave.

"Take it easy, you too" John Says

"Yeah" Elena Says

OUTSIDE THE DINER

Dean and Elena are following John As he turns a corner.

"Dean...Dean Wait" Elena Says

"Not Now Lena!" Dean Says Then They bumps into Castiel

Jesus" Elena Says

"What is this?" Dean Asks

"What does it look like?" Castiel Says

"Is it real?" Elena Asks

"Very." Castiel Says

"Okay, so what? Angels got their hands on some DeLoreans? How did I get here?" Dean Says

"Time is fluid, Dean. It's not easy, but we can bend it on occasion." Castiel Says

"Well bend it back or tell me what the hell are we doing here!" Dean Says

"I told you, you have to stop it." Castiel Says

"Stop what? Huh? What, is there something nasty after my Dad?" Dean Asks As He and Elena turns as a car horn sounds. When they turns back, Castiel is gone.

"Great" Elena Says

"Oh, come on! What, are you allergic to straight answers, you son of a bitch?!" Dean Says

RAINBOW MOTORS CAR DEALERSHIP

John is talking to a Car Salesman.

"A fine young man like yourself, just starting out? How about I take off another 250?" Car Salesman Says As John considers it for a moment.

"Let's do it." John Says

"I'll get the paperwork." Car Salesman Says

John walks over to the front of a beige VW van and rubs the headlights.

"That's not the one you want." Dean Says As he is leaning on a '67 Chevy Impala!

"You following me?" John Asks

"No, no, I was just passing by. I never got to thank you for that cup of coffee this morning. I was a little out of it." Dean Says

"More than a little." John Says

"Let me repay the favor, he pats the hood of the Impala, This is the one you want." Dean Says

"Oh yeah, you – you know something about cars?" John Asks As Dean nods his head

"Yeah... yeah, my Dad taught me everything I know, And this – this is a great car." Dean Says

Dean opens the hood of the Impala and leans in. John joins him on the side of the car.

"327 four barrel, 275 horses. A little TLC and this thing is cherry." Dean Says

"You know man, you're right." John Says

"Then what are you buying that thing for?" Dean Asks

"I kinda promised someone I would." John Says

"Over a '67 Chevy? I mean, come on, this is the car of a lifetime. Trust me, this thing's still gonna be badass when it's 40." Dean Says

John considers it for a moment and hold out his hand to Dean.

"John Winchester. Thanks." John Says As Dean shakes his hand.

"Dean Van Halen – and thank you, John looks in the open windows of the Impala, I was in pretty rough shape this morning, huh?" Dean Says

"No kidding." John Says

"I've been hung over before but, hey, I was, I was getting chills in that diner. You didn't feel any of those cold spots, did you?" Dean Asks

"Nope." John Says

"I swore I smelled something weird too, you know? Like... like rotten eggs. You didn't happen to smell any sulfur by chance?" Dean Asks

"No." John Says

"No... There been any cattle mutilations in town recently?" Dean Says

"Okay, mister! Stop it." John Says

"Yeah, if only I knew what to stop. Listen, uh – watch out for yourself okay?" Dean Says

"Yeah, sure." John Says As Dean pats the Impala again and leaves.

"So?" Car Salesman Asks Then John points at the Impala.

"I'll take this one." John Says

SUBURBAN STREET

John pulls up in the Imapla, Further down the street Dean and Elena pulls up, They watches as a young woman runs from a house to John's car.

"So I See You convinced him to buy the Impala huh" Elena Says

"Yeah I Did" Dean Says

"I'm Still Blown Away can't believe that's John Wow" Elena Says

"Me Neither" Dean Says

"Hey." John Says

"What's this?" She Asks

"My car." John Says As The Girl walks around the back of the car, and John follows her.

"What happened to the van?" She Asks

"Mary, this is better than the van! This has got a 327, a four barrel carburetor." John Asks

"Mom?" Dean Says

"That's Mary" Elena Says

DINER

Mary and John are inside with milkshakes while Dean and Elena watches them through a window.

"Sammy, wherever you are, Mom is a babe. I'm going to hell... again." Dean Says And Elena Slaps him on his head

"Dude" Elena Says

Inside John and Mary are sitting across from one another talking over milkshakes.

"I should just talk to him." John Says

"My Dad's being my Dad, John. It's not you." Mary Says

"How is it not me? He's been like this for how many years?" John Asks

"He's just protective over me, that's all. He doesn't want me to" Mary Says

"Hook up with a mechanic from a family of mechanics?" John Says

"No! Hey, I love you, for exactly what you are. I'll be right back." Mary Says Then She leaves and John pulls out a small red box, Inside is a ring.

Mary is standing behind Dean and Elena.

"Why are you following us?" Mary Asks

"Woah, Woah we can explain" Elena Says

Then Mary Punches Elena Several times, then knees her in the stomach and throws him against a metal container next to the building and She punches Dean then he dodges it, stepping sideways.

"Are you crazy?"Dean Says

Mary continues her attack, Dean backs up as she comes after him, but he manages to grab her arms.

"You've been trailing us since my house." Mary Says

"I don't know what you're talking about" Dean Says

"Really?" Mary Says Then She and Dean grapple. He grabs her and holds her against a wall.

"Okay, how about we talk about this, huh?" Dean Asks

"Let me go!" Mary Says Then Dean sees Mary is wearing a bracelet with protective charms.

"Are you a hunter?" Dean Asks

CAMPBELLS' HOUSE

John and Mary pull up in the Impala.

"See you later?" John Asks

"If you're lucky." Mary Says As They kiss and Mary gets out of the car. As she approaches the house Dean and Elena appears.

"Dean, right? I'm not sure you should come in." Mary Says

"You can trust me. I mean, come on, we're all hunters, right? I mean, we're – we're practically family." Dean Says

"Yeah, thing is, my Dad, he's a little, um..." Mary Says

"Oh, I gotta meet him." Dean Says

"You've heard of him?" Mary Asks

"Clearly not enough." Dean Says

"Okay Um Let's Go Then, they all walk up the stairs, and Elena is it?" Mary Says

"Yeah" Elena Says

"Sorry For Back there" Mary Says

"It's okay it's not my first punch and it's definitely not gonna be my last" Elena Says As She and Mary Laugh Then The three of them walk inside

CAMPBELL HOUSE

"Hey Dad Um This is Dean and Elena Turns out they are hunters to" Mary Says

"So, you're hunters? Well, tell me something, mister hunter, you kill vampires with wooden stakes or silver?" Samuel Asks

"Neither, you cut their heads off." Dean Says As Mary and Elena smiles.

"So, did we pass your test?" Elena Asks

"Yep. Now get out of my house." Samuel Says

"Dad!" Mary Says

"I don't trust other hunters, Dean and Elena, don't want their help, don't want them around my family." Samuel Says

Deanna is setting the table in the next room, and calls to Samuel.

"Knock it off, Samuel." Deanna Says

"There hunters" Samuel Says Then Deanna walks into the room.

"Who passed your little pop quiz, and now I am inviting him and his beautiful girlfriend to dinner. Are you hungry?" Deanna Says

"Uhh.." Elena Says

"Starving." Dean Says

"Good. I'm Deanna, you've met my husband Samuel, now wash up." Deanna Says As Dean looks at Mary.

"Samuel and Deanna, Really?" Dean Says As Mary nods and Elena Smiles

DINING ROOM

Dean, Elena, Mary, Samuel and Deanna are sitting around the dining room table eating dinner. Deanna leans over and touches Dean's arm.

"First time in Lawrence, Dean?" Deanna Asks

"Well, it's been a while. Things sure have changed... I think." Dean Says

"And Elena What About You Hun?" Deanna Asks

"Uhh, It's Been a while for me to" Elena Says

" So You working a job?" Samuel Asks

"Yeah, maybe." Dean Says

"What's that mean?" Samuel Says

"It means I don't trust other hunters either, Samuel." Dean Says As Elena Smiles at him

"Hey, um, so why were you guys following me and John?" Mary Asks

"Mmm, We thought something was after your, um, boyfriend, but um, I don't think that anymore." Dean Says

"John Winchester mixing it up with spirits, can you imagine?" Deanna Says

"I saw that." Mary Says

"What?" Samuel Says

"That sour lemon look." Mary Says

"Now hold on, John's a really, really nice... naive civilian." Samuel Says

"So what? You'd rather me be with a guy like this?" Mary Says As She Looks At Dean and Elena chokes on her water.

"Sorry..Sorry" Elena Says

"That's enough, both of you, we have company and Samuel you should respect Dean and Elena's Relationship" Deanna Says As Dean and Elena look at each other

"Aww" Mary Says as Elena looks at Dean Smiling at him

"He's working a job on the Whitshire Farm." Mary Says As Samuel gives Mary a look as Dean clears his throat.

"Whitshire, why does that name sound familiar to me?" Dean Says

"Well, it's been all over the papers. Tom Whitshire. Got tangled up in a combine a few towns over." Samuel Says

"That kind of thing happens." Dean Says

"So why was he on it in the first place when his crops are all dead?" Samuel Asks

"Demonic omens?" Elena Says

"That's what I gotta find out." Samuel Says

"What about the rest of the town? Well, did you find anything on the web? ...Of information that you have assembled." Dean Says

"Electrical storms maybe. The weather service graphs should be here on Friday." Deanna Says

"By mail?" Dean Says

"No, we hired a jet liner to fly 'em to us overnight." Samuel Says

"You know, it sounds to me like we might be hunting the same thing. You know if we go in there in numbers, we could take care of this real quick." Dean Says
