PIER

Dean is fishing at the end of a pier. Castiel appears.

"We need to talk." Castiel Says

"I'm dreaming, aren't I?" Dean Says

"It's not safe here. Someplace more private." Castiel Says

"More private? We're inside my head." Dean Says

"Exactly. Someone could be listening." Castiel Says

"Cas, what's wrong?" Dean Asks

"Meet me here." Castiel Says

Castiel hands Dean a piece of paper.

"Go now." Castiel Says

Dean looks up and Castiel is gone from the pier.

MOTEL ROOM

Dean wakes up in bed with a gasp

WAREHOUSE

Dean, Sam, Elena and Corinna walk through the warehouse, flashlights on.

"Well, what did he say, Dean? What was so important?" Sam Says

"If I knew, would I be here?" Dean Says

They All Walks Down a set of stairs.

"What the hell?" Corinna Says

"It looks like a bomb went off." Sam Says

"Yeah could be a really big bomb" Elena Says

"There was a fight here." Dean Says

"Between who?" Sam Says

Dean's flashlight beam lands on a symbol painted in blood on the wall.

"Check it out. Look familiar?" Dean Asks

"Yeah, it does." Sam Says

"Anna used something like that to wish the angels back to the cornfield." Dean Says

"So, what? Cas was fighting angels?" Elena Says

"I don't know." Dean Says

They Move Further Into the warehouse and Dean finds Castiel in the rubble.

"Sam. Cas? Cas. Hey, Cas?" Dean Says

"What's . . . ? What's . . . ? What's going on?" Jimmy Asks

"Just take it easy. Take it easy." Dean Says

"Oh. No." Jimmy Says

"Cas, you okay?" Sam Asks

"Ugh. Castiel. I'm not Castiel. It's me." Jimmy Says

"Who's 'me'?" Elena Says

"Jimmy. My name's Jimmy." He Says

"Where the hell is Castiel?" Corinna Asks

"He's gone." Jimmy Says

MOTEL ROOM

Jimmy sits at a table and devours a hamburger while Dean, Sam, Elena and Corinna Watch.

"Mmm." Jimmy Says

"You mind slowing down? You're gonna give me angina." Dean Says

"I'm hungry." Jimmy Says

"When's the last time you ate?" Sam Asks

"I don't know. Months." Jimmy Says

"Geez" Corinna Says

Jimmy takes another bite of his hamburger and then continues to eat ravenously.

"Mmm. Mmm. Mmm!" Jimmy Says

"What the hell happened back there? It looked like an angel battle royale." Sam Says

"All I remember is a flash of light and I, uh . . . I woke up and I was just, you know, like, me again." Jimmy Says

"So, what? Cas just ditched out of your meat suit?" Dean Says

"I really don't know." Jimmy Says

" You remember anything about being possessed? Anything at all?" Elena Asks

"Yeah, bits and pieces. I mean, angel inside of you, it's kinda like being chained to a comet." Jimmy Says

"Ah, that doesn't sound like much fun." Dean Says

"Understatement." Jimmy Says

"Cas said he wanted to tell us something. Please tell me you remember that." Sam Says

"Sorry." Jimmy Says

"Come on, what do you know?" Dean Asks

"My name is Jimmy Novak. I'm from Pontiac, Illinois." Jimmy Says

FLASHBACK

ONE YEAR AGO

JIMMY'S HOUSE, DINING ROOM

"I have a family."

Jimmy, Amelia, and Claire are sitting down to dinner. Claire reaches for some food.

"Claire." Jimmy Says

Jimmy, Amelia, and Claire join hands and bow their heads to say Grace.

"Bless this food, oh, Lord, and ourselves to thy loving service that we may always continue in thy faith and fear to the honor and glory of thy name. Amen." Jimmy Says

"Amen."

Later, Jimmy is asleep in his armchair with the TV on a religious channel.

"I could see my head sticking out from underneath the front bumper. My eyes were closed, my head was turned to the right side, and on each side of me is an angel, and, uh –"

The TV goes to static, waking Jimmy up. He stands.

"What the heck?" Jimmy Says

He tries to turn off the TV, but is unsuccessful. The sound of the static becomes high pitched and Jimmy falls to his knees and covers his ears. Eventually, he falls to the ground and suffers convulsions.

PRESENT DAY

PARKING LOT

Sam, Dean, Elena and Corinna stand outside.

"So, what do we do?" Sam Says

"What do you mean? The guy's got a family. We buy him a bus ticket, send him home." Dean Says

"I don't know about that. Dean, he's the only lead we got." Sam Says

"Are You Kidding Our Friendly Neighbor hood Angel is gone, He doesn't know anything." Corinna Says

"Are you guys 100 percent about that?" Sam Asks

"You think he's lying? What, you wanna go Guantanamo on the guy?" Dean Says

"Dean, maybe he doesn't even know what he knows." Sam Says

"Huh?" Dean, Corinna & Elena Says

"I say, at least we get him to Bobby's. Maybe all he needs is hypnosis or a psychic. Or hell, maybe Cas will just drop back into him." Sam Says

"I don't know, Sam that guy Jimmy looks like a lost puppy in there" Elena Says

"Elena , back there, that was angel-on-angel violence. Now, I don't know what's going on, but it's big. And we can't just let the only lead we got just skip out." Sam Says

Dean shakes his head.

"What?" Sam Says

"You remember when our job was helping people? Like, getting them back to their families?" Dean Says

"You think I don't want to help him? I'm just being realistic. I mean, hell, we're doing him a favor." Sam Says

"How?" Dean Says

"if we want to question the guy, you can damn well bet the demons do, too." Sam Says As They all sighs in defeat.

MOTEL ROOM

"The hell are you talking about, I can't go home?" Jimmy Says

"There's a good chance you have a bull's-eye on your back." Dean Says

"What? From who?" Jimmy Asks

"Demons." Elena Says

"Come on, that's crazy. What do they want with me?" Jimmy Asks

"I don't know, information, maybe?" Dean Says

"I don't know anything." Jimmy Says

"I know, but –" Dean Says

"Look, I'm done, okay? With demons, angels, all of it. I just want to go home." Jimmy Says

"We understand." Corinna Says

"I don't think that you do understand. I've been shot and stabbed and healed, and my body has been dragged all over the Earth. By some miracle, I'm out, and I am done. I've given enough, okay?" Jimmy Says

"Look, all we're saying is that until we figure this out, the safest place is with us." Sam Says

"How long?" Jimmy Asks

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it." Sam Says

Jimmy shakes his head and tries to move past Sam and Corinna to get to the door.

"Where are you going?" Elena Asks

"To see my wife and daughter, okay." Jimmy Says

"No, you're not. You're just going to put those people in danger." Sam Says

"So, what, now I'm a prisoner?" Jimmy Says

"Harsh way to put it." Sam Says

Later, Sam looks at Jimmy and Dean, both of whom appear to be asleep. Sam leaves the room, and Jimmy gets up and sneaks past Dean then leaves the motel room.

He leaves the room unnoticed by Sam, who stands by a vending machine. Sam opens a flask of blood, pours the blood out onto his hand, and licks it up greedily.

NEXT MORNING

Sam quickly packs a duffel bag while Dean brushes his teeth. Elena and Corinna Walks in with their bags

"Morning" Elena Says As Corinna looks towards the bed

"Uh Where's Jimmy?" Corinna Asks

"He Left" Sam Says

"He What" Elena & Corinna Says

"Well isn't this just peachy" Corinna Says

"Sam You Had one job" Elena Says

"Yeah Yeah I know, Dean Would you hurry up?" Sam Says

Dean laughs, toothbrush still in his mouth.

"Sorry, uh, this is funny to you?" Sam Says

"Mr. Big-Bad-Prison-Guard, Jimmy McMook give you the slip? Yeah, it's pretty funny. What were you doing, anyway?" Dean Says

"I was getting a Coke." Sam Says

"Was it a refreshing Coke?" Dean Says

"Can we just go, please?" Sam Says

BUS

Meanwhile On A Bus Somewhere Jimmy looks out the window.

FLASHBACK
ONE YEAR AGO

JIMMY'S HOUSE, KITCHEN

Jimmy is preparing dinner when the radio goes to static. He approaches the radio and listens to the static. The scene shifts and we see Jimmy with his hand in a pot of boiling water. His expression is calm. Amelia comes home holding paper bags and drops them when she sees what he is doing.

"What the hell are you doing?" Amelia Says

"It's okay. I'm okay." Jimmy Says

"Jimmy." Amelia says

"Look." Jimmy Says

"What's wrong with you?" Amelia Asks

"Nothing's wrong. He asked me to do it." Jimmy Says

"Who asked you to do it?" Amelia Says

"Castiel, to prove my faith. Look. I'm fine. It's a miracle." Jimmy Says

"Who's Castiel?" Amelia Asks

PRESENT DAY

BUS

Jimmy is still looking out the window of a bus.

IMPALA

Dean is driving while Sam sits beside him and Elena and Corinna are in the Back, Then Anna suddenly appears in the backseat.

"Hey, guys." Anna Says As She Startles Them

"Jesus Christ" Elena Says

"What The Hell" Corinna Says

"Aah! Jeez." Dean Says as he jerks the steering wheel and the Impala swerves before he gets it back under control.

"Smooth." Anna Says

"Oh It's You" Elena Says

"You ever try calling ahead?" Dean Says

"I like the element of surprise." Anna Says

"You Angels Need a bell around your necks whenever you just drop by" Corinna Says

"Yeah" Sam Says

"Well, you look terrific." Dean says Elena Rolls her eyes

"Um, yeah, not the most appropriate time, Dean. You let Jimmy get away?" Anna Says

"Talk to ginormo here." Dean says As Corinna Snorts

"Sam. You seem different." Anna Says

"Me? I don't know. Heh. A haircut?" Sam Says

"That's not what I'm talking about." Anna Says

Anna gives Sam a meaningful look and he looks away. Elena Looks Between The Two, Anna looks Back at Dean.

"So, what'd Jimmy tell you? He remember anything?" Anna Asks

"Why? What's going on?" Dean Says

"It's Cas. He got sent back home. Well, more like dragged back." Anna Says

"To heaven? That's not a good thing?" Corinna Says

"No. That's a very bad thing. Painfully, awfully bad. He must have seriously pissed someone off." Anna Says

"Cas said he had something to tell me. Something important." Dean Says

"What?" Anna Says

"I don't know." Dean Says

"Does Jimmy know?" Anna Asks

"I don't think so." Dean Says

"You don't think so? Whatever it is, it's huge. You gotta find out for sure." Anna Says

"That's why we're going after Jimmy." Sam Says

"That's why you shouldn't have let him go in the first place. He's probably dead already." Anna Says

JIMMY'S HOUSE

Jimmy approaches his house. He sees his daughter, Claire, through the window working on homework. She calls over her shoulder, and Amelia comes forward to help her.

FLASHBACK
ONE YEAR AGO

Jimmy sits on a couch and speaks with his wife, Amelia.

"Take the pills." Amelia Says

"I'm not sick." Jimmy Says

"Jimmy, take the pills." Amelia Says

"I know that this is hard to understand, but he chose me." Jimmy Says

"Castiel, the angel?" Amelia Says

"He's spoken to me now, Ames, a dozen times. Hey, you believe in God, don't you?" Jimmy Asks

"What kind of question is that? Of course." Amelia Says

"And angels?" Jimmy Says

"Yes, Jimmy." Amelia says

"So, why is it then so hard for you to believe that they're talking to me" Jimmy Says

"Jimmy, you sell ad time for A.M. radio." Amelia Says

"No, he said that I'm special. It's in my blood." Jimmy Says

"What does that mean, it's in your blood, hm?" Amelia Asks

"He didn't say. He just said that God has chosen me for a higher purpose." Jimmy Says

"To do what?" Amelia Asks

"No, it's God's will. Not really my place to question it. Hey, come here. This is a blessing. This is the most important thing that ever happened to me." Jimmy Says

"I thought we were the most important things to ever happen to you." Amelia Says

"Hey, have faith." Jimmy Says

"Jimmy, you're scaring me." Amelia Says

"God will provide." Jimmy Says

"If you won't take your pills and if you won't get help, then I'm going to take Claire to my mother's in the morning." Amelia Says Then She leaves the room and goes upstairs. Jimmy gets dressed in the clothes that Castiel wears and leaves the house. He stands outside and addresses the sky.

"So, I wanna to help you. I'm about to lose my family here if you don't tell me how . . . Please, Castiel, just talk to me. What do you want from me?" Jimmy Says

A soft light appears and illuminates Jimmy from above. Faint whispers can be heard. He looks up and appears to be listening.

"Yes, I understand. Promise my family will be okay and I'll do it . . . Then, yes." Jimmy Says

A bright beam of light shines down on Jimmy. He looks up into the light. When the light disappears, he is Castiel. Castiel lifts a hand and looks at it. The front door of Jimmy's house opens behind him and Claire walks outside.

"Daddy?" Claire Says

Castiel turns and looks at Claire. He appears briefly confused. Then he turns his back to her again.

"I am not your father." Castiel Says He then walks away. Claire watches him leave.

PRESENT DAY

JIMMY'S HOUSE

Jimmy rings the doorbell. Amelia answers the door, She's Taken back for a moment.

"We, uh – we stopped looking for you." Amelia Says

"I'm so sorry." Jimmy Says

"You were dead. We, uh – we thought you were dead." Amelia Says

"I'm okay." Jimmy Says

DEN

Jimmy and Amelia  sit in the den. Claire comes down the stairs and approaches them.

"Claire. Room. Now." Amelia Says

"Can I see her?" Jimmy Asks

"No. No. I don't know yet. It's been almost a year, you know?" Amelia Says

"I know, I know." Jimmy Says

"Yeah. Think your daughter would have wanted to know you were okay?" Amelia Says

"I was in a psych clinic. I just wanted to get myself straight before seeing you." Jimmy Says

"Oh. And no telephones, or" Amelia Says

"No, I know. You're right. I'm – I'm so sorry. But it's all – it's all over now. I mean, I'm – I'm really okay." Jimmy Says

"What does that mean?" Amelia Says

"I was – I was confused, Amelia. I was completely delusional. And I thought – I thought God was calling me to something and I thought that it was important, and I was wrong. I was such an idiot. Heaven, hell . . . none of that matters. The only thing that's important to me is you and Claire. And I – I can't undo what I've done. But I just wanna come home again." Jimmy Says

"I don't know if I can do that. Not yet." Amelia Says

"I mean, whatever you're comfortable with. Maybe we could start with something smaller?" Jimmy Asks

"Like what?" Amelia Says

"I don't know. Dinner?" Jimmy Says

GAS STATION, PARKING LOT

Sam talks on his cell phone while Dean, Elena and Corinna stands outside, gassing up the Impala.

"Hey Can I ask you Guys something" Elena Says

"Sure" Dean Says

"What do you guys think Anna meant when she said that Sam looked different?" Elena Says

"I really don't know I mean he's been very moody I can tell you that" Dean Says

"Yea it's that time of the Month for Sammy" Corinna Says

"I don't know I get this feeling that she's knows something that we don't, I mean he did look guilty of something" Elena Says

"Lena your just overthinking" Corinna Says

"But"

"Sam's Fine, he's just being Sam right now thats all" Dean Says

"Mmhm" Elena Says as She looks at Sam inside the gas station

GAS STATION

"Where the hell are you, Ruby? This isn't funny anymore. I'm all out. Stop whatever you're doing. Call me. I need more." Sam Says

JIMMY'S HOUSE, DINING ROOM

Claire approaches Jimmy.

"Hi, Daddy." Claire Says

"Hi, baby." Jimmy Says

Claire and Jimmy embrace. Amelia enters the room with a platter of sandwiches.

"Okay, so we have turkey and roast beef. Better be okay. It's all we have." Amelia Says

"Oh, it's fine. It's more than fine. Should we sit?" Jimmy Says

"Yeah." Amelia Says

Jimmy, Amelia, and Claire sit at the dining room table. Jimmy reaches for a sandwich.

"It's perfect." Jimmy Says

"Daddy, aren't you going to say Grace?" Claire Asks

"No, honey, I don't think I am." Jimmy Says

"Why are you crying?" Claire Asks

"Because I'm happy." Jimmy Says

The doorbell rings and Amelia gets up to answer the door.

"Hey, Roger." Amelia Says

"Hey, Ames. How you doing?" Roger Says

"Good." Amelia Says

"Am I crazy or did I just see your husband wander in here about half an hour ago?" Roger Asks

"Yeah, uh, you did. But, Roger, now is not a good time." Amelia Says

Jimmy approaches and Roger with open arms. They embrace.

"Hey, there he is. Son of a bitch. What the hell happened to you?" Roger Asks

"Ah, long story. But it's over." Jimmy Says

"Yeah?" Roger Says

"I'm good." Jimmy Says

"Can I talk to you?" Roger Asks

"Can I get you a beer?" Amelia Asks

"That'd be good. Thanks." Roger Says

Amelia leaves Jimmy and Roger to speak in private.

"Buddy, you scared the hell out of a lot of people." Roger Says

"I know. I know." Jimmy Says

"So really, what happened?" Roger Asks

"Honestly, worst year of my life and you wouldn't believe a word of it, but it's all okay now. I swear." Jimmy Says

"Actually, no, it's not." Roger Says

"What do you mean?" Jimmy Says

"Well, I mean I'm gonna gut your daughter while you watch." Roger Says

His eyes turn black. He is a demon. He smiles and his eyes shift back to normal just as Amelia approaches and hands him a beer.

"Here you go." Amelia Says

While Roger is distracted, Jimmy hits him over the head with a candlestick and then continues to hit him after he has crumpled to the ground. Amelia watches, in shock.

"What are you doing? Jimmy, stop!" Amelia Says

"He's a demon! Run!" Jimmy Says

"Stop it!" Amelia Says

"Run!" Jimmy Says
