SCHOOL CLASSROOM

The scene opens to a Cuisinart spinning. It pans back to two students talking.

"Hey, I need to copy your algebra homework again, hits The Other Boy2 get his attention, Hey!" Boy 1 Says

"Why? Cause you're a stupid, brain-dead dick?" Boy 2 Says

"I'm gonna shove my fist down your throat, you little freak." Boy 1 Says

"That fist?" Boy 2 Says

"Yeah." He Says

Boy 2 looks at Boy 1 and grins and grabs The Boys hand and pushes it in the spinning Cuisinart. Blood goes everywhere, and He starts screaming. A classmate helps Boy 1 out, and everyone else runs out. Boy 2 looks woozy, then falls down. Sam arrives just as he is going down. He runs over to Boy 2 and sees black goo, oozing from His ear.

"What happened?" He Asks

SCHOOL HALLWAY

Sam and Dean walk down a deserted school hallway.
Elena Walks Up To Them

"Hey Guys" Elena Says

"Hey" Sam & Dean Says

"Is it true did a Student shove another students hand in a Cuisinart ?" Elena Asks

"Yeah, pretty disturbing" Sam Says

"Geez Kids nowadays" Elena Says

"Tell me about it" Dean Says

"How's the nonviolence assembly going?" Sam Asks

"Apparently, shoving a kid's arm into a Cuisinart is not a "healthy display of anger." So, the kid had ectoplasm leaking out his ear?" Dean Says

"Which only comes from a seriously pissed-off spirit. It's got to be ghost possession." Sam Says

"Yeah, but that's pretty rare." Dean Says

"Yeah, but it happens. I mean, they get angry enough, they can take control of a person's body." Sam Says

"All right, so, what, we got a ghost in the building?" Elena Says

"Yeah, but where? I mean, there's no EMF. Maybe we could find out who it is, at least. You know, check and see if somebody died bloody around here or something." Sam Says

"Way ahead of you. I had to break into the principal's office to get this. Oh, and FYI, three of the cheerleaders are legal. Guess which ones." Dean Says as Elena Furrows her brows at him

"No." Sam Says

"Dude Ew" Elena Says

"So, there was only one death on campus. It was a suicide back in '98. Some kid named Barry Cook. What?" Dean Says

"I knew him. How did he die?" Sam Says

"He slit his wrists in the first-floor girls' bathroom." Dean Says

"That's where --" Sam Says

"Right where the chick got swirleyed to death, exactly. So, what? This ghost is possessing nerds?" Dean Says

"And using them to go after bullies, yeah." Elena Says

"Well, does that sound like Barry's M.O.?" Dean Asks

"Barry had a hard time." Sam Says

FLASHBACK

SCHOOL HALLWAY

It's between classes and there are students in the hallway. Barry is walking down the hall, and another student bumps him and makes him drop his books. Sam sees this and helps him pick up his stuff.

"Thanks, Sam." Barry Says

"Great school." Sam Says

"I don't care. Three years, and I'm out of here. I'm going to Michigan State. They got the best vet program in the country." Barry Says

"Do you like animals?" Sam Asks

"They're a lot nicer than people." Barry Says

JANITORS CLOSET

Dean and Amanda are making out.

"So tonight I'm thinking you, me, a bucket of popcorn, extra butter..." Dean Says

"Mm, kinky." Amanda Says

"..and the midnight screening of "I Spit on Your Grave" at the Cinedome." Dean Says

"I can't. I have a curfew... at 11:00." Amanda Says

"So?" Dean Says

"So if I break it, my folks will ground me for a month." Amanda Says

"Yeah, parents. Terrifying." Dean Says

"Mm-hmm. Well, when's your curfew?" Amanda Asks

"I don't have one." Dean Says

"Your parents just let you stay out all night, don't they?" Amanda Says

"My Dad's out of town on a job. It's just me and my brother." Dean Says

"For how long?" Amanda Asks

"Couple of weeks." Dean Says

"Seriously?" Amanda Says

"Yeah, we got a pretty sweet setup at The Pines." Dean Says

"The motel?" Amanda Says

"Mm-hmm. HBO, magic fingers, free ice -- it's great." Dean Says

"Yeah... I guess." Amanda Says

"What? I do whatever I want, whenever I want. It's perfect." Dean Says

"Yeah, but... don't you miss your Dad?" Amanda Asks

SCHOOL HALLWAY

Dean and Amanda emerge from the closet, just as Sam and Barry walk by.

"Yo! Sammy!" Dean Says As he and Amanda walk off.

"That's your brother with Amanda Heckerling? He's cool." Barry Says

"Yeah. He thinks so." Sam Says

"Hey, tough guy. I been looking for you. Still want to take Barry's place?" Dirk Says

"Get out of here, Barry." Sam Says

"I'll go get a teacher." Barry Says

"You want to go?" Dirk says

"I'm not gonna fight you, Dirk." Sam Says

"Why not? You chicken? Come on!" Dirk Says

"No." Sam Says

Dirk hits Sam, who falls to the ground. He stays there, looking up at Dirk.

"Get up! Get up! Come on! Get up!" Dirk Says

"Hey, get back! Get back. That is enough." Mr.Wyatt Says

Mr.Wyatt takes off after Dirk, who has turned and walked away. Sam watches them walk off.

GRAVEYARD

Elena, Dean & Sam are standing at Barry's grave, where they have already dug up his coffin. Sam puts in the salt and fuel, Dean throws in the lighted match.

"So long, Barry Cook." Dean says

IMPALA

The Impala drives down a dark road, and Sam, Elena and Dean ride inside.

"You all right?" Dean Asks

"Barry was my friend. I just burned his bones." Sam Says

"Well, he's at peace now, Sam." Dean Says

"I mean, if Dad had let us stay just a little while longer, maybe I could have helped the kid, you know?" Sam Says

"You read the coroner's report same as me. Barry was on every anxiety drug and antidepressant known to man. School was hell for that kid. His parents had split up. He just wanted out. It was tragic, but it's not your fault. To tell you the truth, I'm glad we got out of that town. I hated that school." Dean Says

"It wasn't all bad." Sam Says

"How can you say that after what happened to you" Dean Says

Sam looks over at Dean, remembering that day.

SCHOOL YARD

Sam and Dean are sitting on a small bleacher by the school.

"That kid's dead." Dean Says

"Dean." Sam Says

"I'm gonna rip his lungs out!" Dean Says

"It's not a big deal." Sam Says

"Not a big deal? Sammy, look at yourself. If Dad was here --" Dean Says

"He's not." Sam Says

"Well, I am! And as soon I'm finished with that dick --" Dean Says

"Shut up, okay?! I don't need your help." Sam Says

"That's right, you don't. You could have torn him apart. So why didn't you?" Dean Asks

"Because I don't want to be the freak for once, Dean. I want to be normal." Sam Says

"So taking a beating -- that's normal?" Dean Says

"Any word from Dad?" Sam Asks

"He called this morning, said he's going to be another week at least. We weren't supposed to be here this long." Dean Says

"At least you've got Amanda. She's cool." Sam Says

"Dude, she wants me to meet her parents. I don't do parents." Dean Says

CLASS ROOM

Mr.Wyatt's classroom, class is over and students are leaving.

"Mr. Winchester, can I talk to you?" He Asks

Sam walks up to Mr.Wyatt's desk. Barry is walking behind him.

"Um... I'll wait for you outside." Barry Says

"Look, if this is about the fight, I didn't start it." Sam Says

"Oh, no, it's not about the fight, Sam. You know this assignment was nonfiction, right?" Mr.Wyatt Says

"Yes, Mr. Wyatt." Sam Says

"So you and your family killed a werewolf last summer, huh? Why would you write something like this, Sam?" Mr.Wyatt Asks

"It doesn't matter. As soon as my Dad gets back, we're leaving, so you can flunk me if you want to." Sam Says

"I'm not flunking you. I'm giving you an "A." Now, aside from the werewolf, is that really how you'd describe your family?" Mr.Wyatt Says

"Yeah." Sam Says

"Well, your brother is quite a character. And your father -- he seems, uh, driven. Anyway, it's good, Sam. It's really good. Have you ever thought about pursuing writing?" Mr.Wyatt Says

"I can't. I have to go into the family business." Sam Says

"Family business?" Mr.Wyatt Says

"Yeah, my, aah -- my dad's a mechanic. So I have to be a mechanic, too." Sam Says

"Do you want to go in the family business, Sam?" Mr.Wyatt Asks

"No one's ever asked me that before." Sam Says

"Well?" Mr.Wyatt Says

"More than anything, no." Sam Says

"Well... I don't want to overstep my bounds here, but... you don't have to do anything you don't want to do. Look, I mean, I know what it's like. I come from a family of surgeons, and that wasn't me. So, you know, I traded in the money and prestige of being a doctor for all the glamour you see around you. But the point is... there may be three or four big choices that shape someone's whole life, and you need to be the one that makes them, not anyone else. You seem like a great kid, Sam. Just live the life you want to live." Mr.Wyatt Says

IMPALA

Sam, Elena and Dean drive up to the school.

"We came back here so you could talk to a teacher?" Elena Asks

"He's a good guy." Sam Says

"Well, whatever. Go have your Robin Williams "O captain! My captain!" moment. Just make it quick." Dean Says

"Alright, I'll be back" Sam Says As He Walks In the School Building

Dean and Elena Sits on the hood of the Impala, They See A Bunch of cheerleaders & Jocks laughing and kissing

"Brings Back Memories?" Dean Asks

"Huh" Elena Says

"Being Popular In High School" Dean Says

"Oh I wasn't popular I was just known by everyone" Elena Says

"So Popular" Dean Says

"Anyways, You really hated high school?" Elena Says

"Yeah I couldn't stand being there, happy it's all over why did you hate it?" Dean Says

"No, we'll I mean there was times when I hated it and loved it but you know being a teen suffering from depression is the worst" Elena Says

"You Suffered from depression?" Dean Says

"I've always suffered from it Ever since my mom died, I mean it's not as bad as it was when I was 15 but I have my days" Elena Says

"Yeah I know, and now that you mention it I remember that phase you went through" Dean Says

"What Phase?" Elena Says

"You know the I hate everyone and everything, I remember when you had pink highlights and the black hair, the dark makeup" Dean Says As Elena Smiles

"Yes I know I know, I took me forever to get those pink highlights out my hair" Elena Says

"Yeah, 1997 was some year" Dean Says

"Yeah" Elena Says As She Looks At Dean, Then looks over at the students and remembers that day

LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL

BLEACHERS

Elena is Smoking Weed under the bleachers crying and listening to Rock music, Coach Parker Finds her

"There you are Elena, what are you doing?" Coach Parker Asks

"What does it look like, smoking" Elena Says

"I meant what are you doing with your life, what's going on?" Coach Parker Asks

"Nothing" Elena Says

"Don't give me that crap, Elena what happened last year you were happy and driven to be here now whenever you show up here your either caught doing drugs, cutting class or beating up someone" Coach Parker Says

"I don't know things change I guess" Elena Says

"But what's changed, you can tell me I won't judge" Coach Parker Says

"It's...Just that My life recently has been sucking nothing makes me happy at the moment, and everyone keeps making fun of me of spreading rumors around" Elena Says

"Well that's high school for you" Coach Parker Says

"Yeah I get it, but I'm tired of taking peoples shit for example Jake Harrison since school started he keeps bothering me, like calling me a dyke and he called my father a drunk and the other day he called my mother a whore" Elena Says

"He Hit a nerve didn't he" Coach Parker Says

"Yes, it's not the first time someone disrespected my parents it's just...it's getting annoying and I'm sick and tired of it" Elena Says

"Then you gotta stand up for yourself and that doesn't have to be violence, you can deal with it any other way" Coach Parker Says

"Like What, tell the teachers half of the faculty here either like me or is afraid of me ever since they found my pocket knife last year" Elena Says

"Well I'm not afraid of you, I actually think your a great kid I Don't know Elena I feel like your meant to great things in the crap of a world all I want is for you to do better but it's up to you if you wanna get better because I don't wanna see you get suspended" Coach Parker Says

"Me neither my dad would kill me and I can't Stand Principal Dawson" Elena Says

"So What's it gonna be huh?" Coach Parker Asks

"I'm Gonna Fix my grades, fix my attitude and try to be happy" Elena Says

"That's a start, and what about extracurricular activities you in a club?" Coach Parker Asks

"I mean I was on the soccer team last year" Elena Says

"You Should Try out for Cheerleading your a very athletic person and some of your friends are on the team right" Coach Parker Says

"Yeah" Elena Says

"I Mean One of our girls got injured last week she has a torn ACL, we're having cheer tryouts Wednesday" Coach Parker Says

"Coach I don't know" Elena Says

"Think About it Okay, come to tryouts it could be fun" Coach Says

"Okay Okay I'll see" Elena Says

"Great, now stop smoking alright your 15 don't grow up to fast" Coach Parker Says As She Leaves Elena Alone, Elena throws the blunt on the ground and walks back to the school building

Sam is walking down a deserted hallway and he looks deep in thought – he runs his hand through his hair as he walks. The scene changes to a flashback of Sam walking down the same hall, running his hand through his hair the same way. We change back to Sam, and he is approached by a Student.

"Excuse me, sir, can you tell me find room 305?" She Asks

"Sure. Um... head down the hall, take your first right, and it's the third door on the left." Sam Says

"Thanks, Sam." She Says

She takes out a knife and stabs him in the stomach.

"You got tall, Winchester." She Says

She kicks Sam in the face. He falls to the ground. He opens a small jar he grabs from his jacket pocket, and when the girl approaches, he grabs her and forces the salt in her mouth. The Ghost looks like it is ripped from her body and flies out the door. She collapses, and Sam sits in the hall holding her, looking around.
