HASTINGS, MINNESOTA

Deserted streets are shown around the world such as Kyoto, New York City. In Hastings Minnesota, Sam, Elena and Jack wander along an empty street where all the people have disappeared. Dean arrives in the Impala.

"Everyone's gone. You see anybody on the way here?" Sam Asks

"No." Dean Says

"We couldn't save anybody, they all just vanished right before our eyes..Corinna..Marley and Wren,"She wipes away some tears, "Billie..." Elena Says

"It wasn't Billie. It was Chuck." Dean Says

"What?" Elena Says

"Where's Cas?" Jack Asks

"Dean?" Sam Says, as Dean looks to the ground sadly.

"He saved me. Billie was coming after us, and Cas summoned the Empty. It took her. And it took him. Cas is gone." Dean Says

"No.." Elena Says, trying not to cry again as Jack looks on sad.

"This can't be happening." Sam Says

"It is, Sam. I think everyone's gone." Dean Says

Sam calls Jody's phone and gets her voice mail: "Hey, it's Jody. I can't get to the phone right now, so leave a message."

"Jack, I'm sorry." Dean Says

Jack looks to him then looks away tearfully, Dean walks over to Elena who he pulls into a tight hug as she starts crying again.

Sam calls another number. Another voice message: "Hey. You know who it is. You know what to do. Catch you later."

We pull back from the Winchesters and Jack on the empty street, up and up until we see the Earth from a distance.

HASTINGS, MINNESOTA

Sam and Dean enter a deserted diner "Sammy's highway Café" Music is playing. The TV shows a deserted football field.

"It brings a whole new meaning to the term "sudden death." Dean Says

"Dean, do you think we're it? All that's left?" Sam Asks

"Yeah. You, me, Lena and Jack." Dean Says

Outside the diner Elena and Jack are sitting in silence. Jack looks over at Elena who's distraught, then looks up at the sky.

"Cas?" Jack Says

As Jacks in front of the diner, the plants he passes shrivel and die. He does not notice, then Jack enters the diner.

"Hey. So, um, what now?" Jack Asks

"I did this. We could have just given Chuck what he wanted, you know, his grand finale. But I resisted. I pulled the thread. I thought we could beat this game, do it better. We tried to rewrite him, and the whole world paid the price." Sam Says

"Sam, we can..." Dean Says

"We can what? There's nothing left, Dean. No one left to save. Everybody's gone." Sam Says

"You can't just give up." Jack Says

"What other choice do we have?" Sam Says

Later on that night the roads are empty, as the Impala is parked out in front of a building. Dean and Sam are leaning against the hood, as Elena is pacing.

"Think he'll show?" Sam Says

"He better." Dean Says

Then suddenly Chuck appears a few feet away from them.

"Hey, guys. Enjoying a little alone time?" Chuck Says

"Alright, Chuck. You win." Elena Says

"Well...sure. I always do. Me being me. Is that it or..." Chuck Says

"We'll give you what you want. That's right." Sam Says

"The whole Cain-and-Abel thing. Us dead. Whatever. I'll kill Sam. Sam will kill me. We'll kill each other. Okay? You pick. But, first, you got to put everything back the way it was." Dean Says

"And we mean everything the people, the birds, Corinna, Cass, my daughters..you got to bring them back." Elena Says

"We're surrendering. We're giving up." Sam Says

"Yeah, no. I mean, I appreciate the white flag, but, frankly, it's too little, too late. I'm kind of enjoying this story now." Chuck Says

"You can't." Elena Says

"Oh, no, see, I'm the almighty. I really can. I mean, picture it. The three of you...And your little lapdog Jack...Rotting on a lifeless planet, knowing it's this way because you wouldn't take a knee. Eternal shame, suffering, and loneliness. Whew! That's deep. That's sophisticated. That's a page-turner." Chuck Says

THE BUNKER

They make it back to the bunker and everyone walks off, later Jack is alone in his room staring up at the ceiling. While Elena is in Wren's room sitting in a rocking chair, sitting in silence. There's a knock on the door as Sam enters carrying two cups.

"Elena, are you awake?" Sam Asks

"Yeah...I'm just..sitting here in my thoughts." Elena Says

"I was in the kitchen making some tea, would you like some?" Sam Asks

"Sure, thanks it could probably help with the nausea." Elena Says

"You sick?" Sam Asks

"Eh I don't know, lately I just can't stop feeling nauseous.." Elena Says

She takes the cup from him as Sam sits down on a chair, and they took sips from their cups.

"How are you feeling?" Sam Asks

"No okay, you know I'm to fall asleep but I keep waking up because I can't get the image of everyone disappearing out my head." Elena Says

"Yeah me neither, I've been struggling to sleep for the past few days..sleep really hasn't even been on my mind." Sam Says

"Don't blame you..there's a lot going on that we can't control at the moment." Elena Says

"I didn't say it back." Sam Says

"What?" Elena Says

"Corinna she said I love you to me and I didn't say it back." He sighed, "In moments like that you say it, how could I have been so stupid...now I'll never get to say it back." Sam Says, as Elena nods sadly.

"I forgot to tell Marley and Wren I loved them, you know growing up when you witness a parent losing their child and I thought I would never understand what it means to lose a child. And now Sam..I understand..and this feeling sucks." Elena Says

Sam reaches over and gives her hand a reassuring squeeze.

"Come on, let's get out of here." Sam Says

Elena nods then stands to her feet as she and Sam exits the room. In the library Dean is asleep drunk on the ground with a bottle next to him, with a picture of him and Wren near his face. Sam and Elena enters the library and finds him asleep in the library amongst a pile of bottles.

"Dean? Hey. Look out. Dean." Sam Says, lightly tapping him.

Dean gets up and looks around rubbing his eyes,
"Huh?"

"Dean, you okay?" Elena Asks

"I feel terrific." He picks up the photo, putting it in his pocket, "Great." Dean Says, as door opens as Jack enters the library.

"Guys, I'm... feeling something weird." Jack Says

"Yeah, me, too, pal. We need aspirin." Dean Says

"I'm sensing a presence. There's something out there... besides us." Jack Says

"Something like people?" Sam Says

"I don't know." Jack Says

"How are you sensing anything?" Elena Asks

"Yeah I thought you were all powered down." Dean Says

"I'm not sure. But I feel it." Jack Says

GAS STATION

The next day The Winchesters and Jack stop at the Tod and Bizz gas station. As Sam pumps the gas, Jack gets out and heads inside as Dean is headed to the toilet when he hears whimpering and sees a dog.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Look at you. Hey." The Dog whimpers, sniffs, "Wow." He Laughs, "How did Chuck miss you? Whoever thought finding a dog would feel like a miracle? Come on, Miracle. Come here. Sammy, Lena Check it out." Dean Says

"You found a dog?" Elena Says

"Yeah. I guess Chuck didn't get everything. I mean, maybe there's people he missed, you know?" Dean Says

Elena approached the dog, he sniffs her and licks her hand which makes her smile a little.

"Nice to meet you as well." Elena Says

"Look, this guy's coming home with us." Dean Says

"You're gonna let a dog sit in the Impala?" Sam Says

"Relax. I'm not giving him shotgun. Unless you're cool with that." Dean Says

"I'll get Jack." Sam Says, walking towards the store.

"Hey, don't worry about him. He'll warm up to you. Maybe we'll let you sleep in his room. Dean puts the dog in the back seat of the Impala, "Here we go. Good boy. Hey. Come here. You know, believe it or not, you're the best thing that's happened in the last few days. Yeah, you are. Good boy." Dean Says

"You really are a cutie aren't you." Elena Says

The two of them continue to pet Miracle until the dog suddenly vanishes. Dean and Elena looks up to see Chuck in the distance waving to them, then he vanishes.

IMPALA

On the road Jack is asleep leaning on Elena's shoulder, while Dean drives angrily down the street with Sam in the passenger seat.

"Unbelievable. Can't even save a friggin' dog." Dean Says

"Yeah, maybe that's the point. No one left to help. No one but us." Sam Says

"I'm really starting to hate this end of the story." Elena Says

ST. MICHAEL'S CHURCH

They arrived at the church as Dean parked the Impala out front, the three hunters and Jack gets out approaching the building.

"You sure about this, Jack? Whatever you're picking up on is in there?" Sam Says

"In there or very nearby. Guys, I have no idea what we're walking into." Jack Says

They walk inside the church which is empty and lit with candles, they approach the isle way where there's bibles open and the sound of wings fluttering are heard.

"So... you survived." Michael Says, as they turn to him.

"Michael." Sam Says

"When the rapture first began, I took refuge here. It is St. Michael's, you may have noticed." He Says

"Are you hiding out from your dad?" Dean Asks

"I'm sure he's aware I took your side against him. I've avoided using any powers that might attract his attention." Michael Says

"And Adam?" Sam Says

"Gone. I'm sorry to say. Exterminated by my father, like everyone else." Michael Says

"Poor bastard never caught a break." Dean Says

"How did the four of you manage?" Michael Asks

"Apparently, your old man has a sense of humor. He thought it would be hilarious to watch the four of us on an empty planet." Dena Says

Elena looks at open Bibles, "What, are you, uh... doing some reading?"

"I never spent much time on Earth. I was...curious about the perception of God and Heaven." Michael Says

"And?" Dean Says

"Amazingly, the believers loved him. They have for thousands of years. I guess my efforts were more effective than I'd hoped." Michael Says

"Your efforts?" Sam Says

"When God left Heaven, I was certain of his return. So I made sure all of the angels and prophets burnished his image on Earth. The all-knowing, all-seeing, all-caring God." Michael Says

"Daddy's boy." Dean Says

"And now? After seeing what Chuck's done?" Jack Asks

"We reached out to you. You ignored us." Dean Says

"That was then. This is now. Tell me what you need me to do." Michael Says

THE BUNKER

"Alright, Michael. Here's the book we've been telling you about." Sam Says, laying the book on the map table.

"That's one of Death's books." Michael Says

"Yeah, but this one is about God. And how to kill him." Dean Says

"As far as we know, only Death can open it. But, um...we're hoping, uh...maybe you can, too." Sam Says

Michael's eyes glow blue as he tries and fails to open the book, "I'm sorry."

In the kitchen Dean and Sam takes a seat near the steps. As Elena leans against the table.

"Well..that didn't work." Sam Says

"So, where does this leave us? We need that book open, and we're out of options. Where's it leave us?" Elena Says

"Screwed. I'm sure Chuck's ready to make a move." Dean Says

Soon his cellphone rings and vibrates. The Caller ID says "Cass"

"What?" He answers it, "Cas?" Dean Says

"Dean. I'm here. I'm hurt. Can you let me in?" Castiel Says

Sam, Elena and Dean rush to the Bunker door and open it to find Lucifer.

"Wazzup?!" Lucifer Says

Dean slams the door shocked at who he just saw, then Lucifer materializes inside the Bunker.

"Wow! Way to treat a pal." Lucifer Says

"No, you're not our "pal." Sam Says

"Okay, be honest with me, please. Would you have let me in if I said it was really me?" Lucifer Says

"You're dead." Elena Says

"Uh... yeah, not so much Bambi. Um, after Pop nutted out and murdered pretty much everyone in the world, the Empty booted me with orders to find the missing God Book and use it on Chuck. Uh, normally, I'm not very good at following orders, as you guys know, but, uh, you do not want to mess with the Empty, man. Total "B," especially after Jack blew up all over her, and she killed Death. I mean, guys, never a dull moment. But that's the past. What's up?! We're a team again, guys." Lucifer Says

"Oh, that is not happening." Dean Says

"Mm. Yeah. Alright, team. I don't want to bring ants to your picnic, but that ain't gonna cut it. Okay, think about it. If the Empty pulled me off the bench, it's 'cause the Winchester charm ain't enough, right? And I did anticipate a little bit of pushback, so I did bring a token of good faith. Voilà." Lucifer Says

He snaps his fingers and a woman appears bound and gaged.

"Who is she?" Dean Asks

"Oh, this is Betty. Betty... Betty, say hi." She speaks but is muffled, "No, no, no. Say hi to Elena and the boys. Just getting it straight. Oh, did I mention Betty is a reaper? I'm doing a fly-by, right? Okay. I'll say that again. Betty is a reaper." Lucifer Says

"Yes, we heard you. So what?" Sam Says

"Watch." Lucifer Says

Lucifer stabs Betty with an angel blade and she falls to the floor dead.

"Wow! Really?! Great." Dean Says

"Oh, no, this is...this is the first reaper to check out since Billie, right? So...wait for it. Wait for it." Betty gets to her knees, "Ohhh...and... Meet the new Death." Lucifer Says

Dean slowly moves towards her and ungags her, then she headbutts him.

"Wow." Lucifer Laughs

"You okay?" Elena Asks

"Yeah." Dean Says, moving back towards them.

Suddenly a brand new scythe appears in Betty's hand.

"Wow. Look at that. I mean, she's got the whole Death starter kit going with the decoder ring. Isn't that awesome? And that, whatever that is. Yeah. I'm good, right?" Lucifer Says

"So, do you have it? The book. Hand over the book. Wow. Slower than they look." Betty Says

"Yeah." Lucifer Says

"Okay, the end of God is in the special book, and if you give Betty the book, Betty can read it. Understand?" She Says

Sam, Elena and Dean take Betty to the bunker dungeon where God's Book is.

"Uh... not a group project." Betty Says, then she closes the door on them.

Upstairs in the lobby Lucifer is building a house out of a stack of cards, as Jack keeps an eye on him then Michael enters.

"Wow. Look at you, bro. The almost-mighty." He knocks over a house of cards he has glued together.
"Hmm. I cheated." Lucifer Says

Sam, Elena and Dean re-entered the library where everyone is.

"Are you seriously thinking about trusting him?" Michael Asks

"Uh, I wouldn't exactly say "trust." Dean Says

"Mikey, Mikey, come on, man. I get the bitterness. For all you did for the old man, you got no better from him than me. The son voted Most Likely to Suck, and that sucks." Lucifer Says

"I did what I did because it was the right thing to do, not to get his love." Michael Says

"Alright, well, that's a good thing, 'cause the man had no love to give...Not to you, not to me, not to... humanity. You see that now, right?" Lucifer Says

Betty clears her throat, "Asshats. I have opened the book."

"And?" Elena Says

"And it's in here...all that you want. I know how God ends." Betty Says

"Wait a second. You're sure about this?" Sam Says

"Of course I'm sure. I'm Death." Betty Says

"You've been Death for an hour." Dean Says

Betty opens the book and begins reading the pages.
"Behold, in the end, there is the ending of he who created the beginning."

"Fascinating." Lucifer Says

"And, thus, it will be..." Betty Says

Lucifer snaps his fingers and the book flies to him and Betty aka Death, disintegrates.

"Yeah, this is what Pop wanted to get his hands on. Hmm. Did I say that out loud? Yeah, Pop was the one who let me out of the Empty. I'm sort of the new favorite now. What did Dad say about you? Oh, yeah. "Mikey's a cuck." He Laughs, "You're a cuck." Lucifer Says

Sam, Elena and Dean advance and Lucifer uses his power to throw them against a wall.

"Nope." Lucifer Says

Michael then advances on Lucifer, he throws an energy ball at him but he materializes on the other side of the room.

"Lucifer Wow, you are really getting rusty at this, buddy. Bye." Lucifer Says

Lucifer fires a ball of energy at Michael knocking him down. Then he looks to Jack.

"So... buddy... you're gonna have to make a decision now. Uh, dump the losers and join Gramps and me on the winning team." He Imitates crowd cheering,
"Of course, this is the only way you're getting out of here alive, 'cause you're not strong enough to fight me now, so...what do you say, kid? What do you say? Come on. Somebody's behind me?" Lucifer Says

He turns around and sees Michael standing behind him, Lucifer flashes his glowing red eyes at him.

"You don't learn." Lucifer Says

Then Michael stabs Lucifer with an archangel blade, and he drops the book and light illuminates from him as he dies.

"Thanks for the blade." Michael Says
