CHURCH

The camera pans up to the back of Nick who's sitting in a chair, talking to someone in a candle lit room in the church.

"Uh it's not like I want to do this, okay I need to. I know I should stop, it's just that..." He sniffles, and sighed. "These feelings afterward I hate..I hate that it feels so good, anyway I know that I've taken up too much of your time." Nick Says

Nick stands to his feet and sighs looking over at the person he's talking to.

"If you say you can't tell me what I already told you during confession I accept that. Of course he was the only witness to my family's murder, but I understand you've got your vows to keep and
all that. But..you really should've helped me." Nick Says

The camera pans over to the other side of the room where, a man's hands are nailed to the wall and his throat is slit and it's the priest.

"You've brought this upon yourself, but look I'll take some of your advice perhaps..perhaps the peace I'm looking for does lie in the power of prayer. And I do agree with you padre, there is a devil..and we should try and fight him but sometimes we just can't..hang in there." Nick Says, he pats the priest then leaves the room.

THE BUNKER

In Jack's room, Castiel is looking over him as he's asleep. He waves his hand over his head, it glows as he tries to heal him then moves down to his chest area to heal.

Jack wakes and starts coughing up more blood as Castiel looks on worriedly. Outside his room inside the corridors, Sam, Dean, Elena and Corinna waits patiently for Castiel to come back out.

"What's taking so long?" Dean Says

"I don't know. Whatever's going on with Jack is probably complicated." Sam Says

"Yeah, but, I mean, weird stuff happens to kids all the time. They get coughs, bloody noses." Dean Says, The door opens and Castiel exits Jack's room.

"Is he okay?" Elena Asks

"I-I did what I could, but I don't, I-I don't know what's wrong with him." Castiel Says

"But you can figure it out, right?" Corinna Ask

A loud thud comes from Jack's room, they all rush towards his room and sees that he's not on his bed.
They moved over to the side of his bed, where Jack had fallen off.

"Jack? Jack?" Sam Says

Jack's body starts shaking, Sam kneels down and turns him on his side and foam starts coming from his mouth.

"Oh god he's having a seizure." Elena Says

"Hey. Jack!" Sam Says, trying to calm him down.

"We have to do something." Corinna Says

"Like what?, nothing I'm doing is working." Castiel Says

"How about we try the hospital." Corinna Says, as everyone exchanged looks.

"I'll grab my coat, get him up let's go." Dean Says

HOSPITAL

The Impala drives down the road in the dark rainy night, the doors burst open and they all walk inside as Sam helps Jack.

"I need a doctor!" Dean Says

They look around the emergency room which is filled with sick patients, Elena looks around and sees the nurse desk and leads them all there.

"Hello um we need to see a doctor it's an emergency." Elena Says

"What seems to be the problem?" She Asks

"He's sick." Dean Says

"Wanna be more specific?" She Says

"Hey. Look, could you just get him inside?" Dean Asks, sighing.

"Sir, I just need some basic information that's the procedure. I do the work-up, then I take him back." She Says

"Okay, the basic information is he's sick." Dean Says

"Do you see anyone here who isn't? His full name, please. You do know his name, right?" She Says

"Jack." Dean Says

"Uh, uh, Kline. Jack Kline." Corinna Says

"K-l-i-n-e." Castiel Says, as she types on the computer.

"Date of birth?" She Asks

"Come on. Is that important?" Dean Asks

"What did you say your relationship is to the patient?" She Asks

"May 18th. May 18th. Date of birth-May 18th." Sam Says

"2000 -- '99. 2000." Dean Says

"Uh-huh. Family medical history? Let's start with the father." She Says

"He's dead." Dean Says

"Cause of death?" She Asks

"We don't really need to get into that-" Elena Says

"He was stabbed through the heart, and he exploded." Castiel Says, as everyone looks at him.

"Okay, you know what? We don't have time for this. All right, he's sick. His name is Jack Kline. His father exploded. There, you've got all the basics. Now what does he need to do to see a doctor?" Dean Says, as Jack soon collapse to the ground.

"Jack!" They Say

Jack is soon rushed through the hospital on a gurney. The four hunters and Angel are behind the nurses and doctors, looking at Jack.

"Jack?!" Castiel Says

"It's all right, Jack. Hang in there, buddy." Sam Says

"Jack, hey, we're right here." Dean Says

"He's in good hands. Don't worry." She Says

The nurses and doctors rolls Jack into a hospital room, they all try walking into the room but the nurses escort them out.

"So, there's-there's been...uh, he's been coughing. There's been blood." Sam Says

"Okay, ladies, gentlemen, can you at least wait outside, please." The Nurse Says

"It's been going on for a while." Elena Says

"What's happened? Is he gonna be okay?" Dean Asks

"The doctor will handle it." She Says

"Jack, we're right here!" Dean Says

Moments goes on as the doctors check on Jack and check CT scans, while Sam, Dean, Elena, Corinna and Castiel wait in the waiting area.

CAFE

The next morning inside a cafe, a woman walks inside and spots Nick and sits next to him.

"Nick? Hello. Diane Fargo." She Says, as they shake hands.

"Hey, yeah. Yeah, you weren't easy to track down." Nick Says

"I left Pike Creek six years ago. I'm working at the here in Wilmington." Diane Says, as a waitress approaches them.

"Oh. What can I get you?" She Asks

"Coffee, please." Diane Says

"Well, thanks for seeing me. I didn't think you were gonna remember who I am." Nick Says

"Of course I do. I spoke to you the morning after your family was..." Diane Says

"Slaughtered." Nick Says

"And then you left town." Diane Says

"Yeah, just...I couldn't stay, you know? Too much baggage. I had to rebuild." Nick Says

"Here you go." She Says, placing down the cup filled with coffee.

"Thank you." Diane Says

"You're welcome." She Says

"My ex-neighbour, Arty Nielsen, was killed a few weeks ago." Nick Says

"Really?" Diane Says

"Yeah, so...just brought back all kinds of bad memories, you know, and, uh, I was just looking
for some answers." Nick Says

"To...?" Diane Says

"My family. The case was never solved, the one witness was Arty, and he said that he saw someone leaving my house the night of the murders, and then he changed his story." Nick Says

"It happens, people say things in the heat of the moment, and then realize they're not so sure." Diane Says

"Even you gave up on the story." Nick Says

"There was almost no evidence at the crime scene." Diane Says

"Mm-hmm." Nick Says

"The cops had zero to say to me. I even played with the idea you did it, but you..." Diane Says

"Well, I was getting hammered at the Elks Lodge that night." Nick Says

"So...I moved on." Diane Says

"Yeah, well, I can't." Nick Says

"Nick?" Diane Says

"No, I'm good." Diane looks at him worriedly, "Seriously. A-As soon as I figure out what happened that night, these demons will disappear. Look, you were a crime reporter, right? So you've got to know all the beat cops in Pike Creek." Nick Says

"Sure." Diane Says

"Okay, do you happen to remember who was assigned, to my neighborhood that night?" Nick Asks

"I think..so." Diane Says

"All right." Nick Says

"I'm...pretty sure, it was Frank --Frank Kellogg." Diane Says

"Frank Kellogg." Nick Says

"Last I heard, he was doing private security up in Montauk." Diane Says

"Frank Kellogg, Montauk." Nick Says

HOSPITAL

Sam and Corinna are looking through the window, as one of the nurses checks on Jack. They both let out a breathy sigh, Corinna holds his hand.

"Hey, he's going to be okay..he's a tough kid." Corinna Says

"I know it's just..how could I have not seen it so soon." Sam Says

"No one could have, don't blame yourself..it's not your fault Sam." Corinna Says, Sam sighs then she caresses his chin.

"Mhm..thank you for being here, sorry I called you when you were at home." Sam Says

"No No it's okay, I'm glad you did..besides that kid is family. You always show up for family." Corinna Says, as Sam nods and kisses her forehead.

Dean, Elena and Castiel returns back to the waiting area.

"Hey." Sam Says

"So anything on Jack?" Castiel Asks

"No, nothing." Corinna Says

"Damn it." Castiel Says, letting out a frustrated sigh.

"This is crazy. When Jack became human, I was worried, you know, given what we do, that-that something would happen to him, but I thought it'd be a vampire or a ghoul, not a friggin' cough. He's just a kid." Dean Says, as The doctor walks out the room and approaches them.

"Hey, hey, hey Cas. Doctor. So, um...what do we know?" Sam Asks

"Well, I can tell you what we don't know." She Says

"I don't like the sound of that." Elena Says

"Jack's test results all came back negative." She Says

"That's great, right?" Sam Says

"Well, Jack-he's very ill. We're just not sure what we're up against." She Says

"You just said his tests came back negative." Dean Says

"Well, those tests, but we have to run more tests." She Says

"More tests?" Corinna Says

"Yes, until we can figure out what's happening to him." She Says

"What is happening to him right now?" Dean Asks

"Jack... Jack's in total systemic failure. His body's in the process of shutting down." She Says

Everyone's expressions change, the doctor steps away and they all look at Jack.

"I'm going to go in the room." Castiel Says

"I'll come with." Corinna Says

Corinna and Castiel walks into the hospital room where Jack is, while Elena, Sam and Dean stays outside the room.

"Lemme ask you both a question. How much longer are we gonna give this?, how many more tests are there gonna be?" Dean Says

"My opinion? I think we're done here." Sam Says

"Yeah, that was kinda my opinion, too." Dean Says

"I mean, this place, we tried, but they've never seen anything like Jack, and we can't exactly tell them what he is." Sam Says

"Then let's get him out of here. Let's bring him home." Elena Says

"Alright Let's do what we do, let's find a way. Hell, I was even thinkin' maybe Rowena..." Dean Says

"I already called her." Elena Says

A few moments later the doctor returns back to the ICU, when she enters the room she sees them helping Jack up.

"Uh, what-what's going on?" She Asks

"What's it look like? You can't expect him to hit the street with nothing on but a hospital gown, his ass hanging out." Dean Says

"Here you go." Castiel Says, as he puts his trench coat over Jack.

"He's not going anywhere." She Says

"We're just getting a second opinion." Sam Says

"Jack?" She Says

"We're getting a second opinion." Jack Says, groaning.

"If he leaves the hospital, we are no longer responsible for him. You and he have to acknowledge that you're leaving against
medical advice." She Says

"Fine. We're leaving." Jack Says

Castiel and Sam helps Jack out the door, Dean walks ahead as Corinna and Elena looks at the doctor.

"We're sorry to have wasted your time." Corinna Says

"Yeah, there's just no talkin' to him when he gets
like this." Elena Says, then they leave the room.

THE BUNKER

Sam, Elena and Rowena are walking down the stairs walking into the war room.

"Thanks for coming." Sam Says

"I got here quick as I could. How is he?" Rowena Asks

"Well, uh..." Sam Says

"I brought the Book of the Damned." Rowena Says

"The book which, uh, you stole." Elena Says

"Which I borrowed amidst the ruckus of all those folks arriving from the other world, but we can talk about that later, just how sick is Dean?" Rowena Says

"Yeah, about that, um..." Elena Says

"What? Is this a trick? Eleanor, I thought we were all beyond this." Rowena Says

"No Somebody is sick, all right, but...listen, I-I don't know how well you got to know our-our friend Jack with everything that was going on when you were here, but we've sort of been taking care of him, and, uh, he's, um...Lucifer's son." Sam Says

"Goodbye." Rowena Says, she tries leaving but Elena and Sam stops her.

"No, no, no. Stop, stop. Jack he's a great kid, his mother was a fantastic human being, and he wanted nothing to do with Lucifer, who is dead, as you know." Elena Says

"I hope he's rotting." Rowena Says

"He is." Elena Says

"Yes, but Lucifer stole Jack's grace, so he's powerless now, and-and something's going on with him, and he might die." Sam Says

"Oh, splendid! The sooner the better! from what I know of the father, the world will be better off without the son." Rowena Says

"You might be right." Rowena turns to him, "We're all still figuring that out. I'm Jack. And I know people have a lot of strong feelings about my father, but I'm --I'm trying hard not to be like him. Sam, Elena, Corinna and Dean, they-they say such nice things about you." He Says

"They do?" Rowena Says

"You saved all of us from Apocalypse World." Jack Says

"Well, that's true." Rowena Says

"So, before you go, I-I just wanted to say...thank you." Jack Says

Rowena nods to him then Jack starts coughing again, Sam rushes over to him to stop him from falling.

"Jack. Hey, buddy. Hey. You're all right." Sam Says

"Mhm." Jack Says

Rowena looks over to Jack, then at Elena who's giving her a pleading look.

"Please Rowena, come on the boys dying." Elena Says, as Rowena sighs.

"Bullocks." Rowena Says, as Elena smiles.

In the bunker infirmary Jack is laying down on a bed, while Rowena stands next to his bedside preparing a spell in a bowl.

"Possim rei huius cognoscere causas." She tosses the final ingredient in, "Possim rei huius cognoscere causas..." Rowena Chants

Rowena's eyes glow purple then exhales and looks down at Jack, who sits up.

"How am I?" Jack Asks

Outside in the corridor Sam, Dean, Elena, Corinna and Castiel awaits for Rowena to be done. The door opens and she looks at them.

"And?" Dean Says

"It's as I suspected, a Nephilim, for all its power, is an unnatural presence. Part human, part angel..it-it doesn't quite fit. It's delicate. Its grace is what holds it in balance, and when Jack's grace was taken from him, his being fell into chaos. The-the cells are gobbling each other up." Rowena Says

"Well, if it's grace he needs, he can have mine." Castiel Says

"No, dear, it won't do. Jack is part archangel. He needs a much stronger force and probably some
kind of magic, and he needs it quick." Rowena Says

"How quick?" Elena Asks

As the conversation continues all of a sudden Dean's vision becomes blurry.

"I don't...I don't exactly know, but he's enterin' a critical phase. Sometimes he'll look just fine, but then his body will give way and..it'll be the end of him." Rowena Says

ALLEYWAY

In an alley behind a bar at night a girl exits the back of the club, she takes out her phone and calls someone. A few feet away, Nick is in a car watching the woman from afar.

"Hey. yeah, no wasn't sure which one you thought would be the best one." She Says

Inside the car Nick unlocks the car door, and holds onto the door handle but stops.

"Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it." Nick Says

A few minutes later the woman ends her call and walks back towards the bar, until she hears Nick.

"Evening." Nick Says

"Evening yourself." She Says

"You're out here alone? that's sort of dangerous, isn't it? Weird! That sounded weird, I just meant be safe." Nick Says

"Just had to use my phone, I'm headed back in." She Says

"Copy that. Have fun." Nick Says

The woman walks back to the bar, but stops and approaches Nick who takes out a knife.

"Did you wanna come in, meet my friends?" She Asks

"That sounds awesome, but it's a nice night, and it's so loud in there." Nick Says

"I know. That's the best part. Come on, it'll be fun." She Says

"Get away from me." Nick Says

"What?" She Says

"Get away from me! Now! Go!" Nick Says

The woman steps away and goes back inside the bar, as Nick rubs his forehead in frustration.
