TRUCK

"How many books are you reading?" Sam Asks

"All of them." She reaches over seat to get another book, "I hate hunting." Charlie Says

"Really? Cause I gotta say you're kinda awesome at it." Sam Says

"Yeah, well, when it's that or die by angel kill squad..." Charlie Says

"Right." Sam Says

"I mean, no offense but who wants to be a hunter? This job, it's just a lot of tears and death." Charlie Says

"Huh, it's funny, you uh said something like that to me once, long ago, about hunting. Not you, uh uh sorry, our Charlie." Sam Says

"Well, she was right. So glad this is my last case." Charlie Says

"What?" Sam Says

"I told myself I'd help you out for a while. At least until everyone got really settled and then I'm out." Charlie Says

"To do what, to go where?" Sam Asks

"Away. From monsters, from people, from...I'll go live on a mountain top or something. As long as there's good wifi." Charlie Says

HARPER'S APARTMENT

Upstairs in Harper's apartment, the door opens and in walk Harper and Jack.

"Come in." Harper Says

"Thank you." Jack Says

"Okay, I'm just realizing it's weird I brought you to my place. That's weird. I'm weird." Harper Says

"It's fine. I think. You need to get that book, right?" Jack Says

"I just don't want you to think I'm, I'm not putting the moves on you." Harper Says

"The moves?" Jack Says, as he looks confused at her.

"I'll go get the book." Harper Says, she walks towards her room.

"Hey, uh do you mind.." He puts a silver coin on floor, "Is it okay that I ask you about the guy who was hassling you at the library?" Jack Says, as he pours holy water in hand and on floor.

"Oh, recently a boy I knew or was starting to know passed away. It was terrible. The authorities have been asking a lot of questions but I don't know anything and uh, I'm a pretty private person so it's been a little difficult." Harper Says, walking out her room with the book.

Jack checks phone to see Dean calling, doesn't answer. "That's awful about your friend."

"Thanks." She hands Jack a book, and sees the coin on the floor, "Is this yours?" Harper Says

"Oh, sorry, I must have dropped that." Jack Says, as Harper hands him the coin.

"Your hand is wet." Harper Says, as Jack laughs.

"Christo." Jack Says, while fake coughing.

"Did you say something?" Harper Says

"Ah, no." His phone vibrates again. "Ah, I'm just nervous." Jack Says

"Come here." Harper Says, she moves to couch and pat cushion next to her for Jack to sit down.

TRUCK

Charlie reads a page in her book and looks up at Sam.

"I've got something." Charlie Says

"What?" Sam Says

"Have you ever heard of a musca?" Charlie Asks

"Yeah, like a hybrid between a man and a fly. A lot of stories about them but no one has ever seen one in real life. If they do exist, they keep to themselves." Sam Says

"Look at you." Charlie Says

"Well, I have read all the books." Sam Says

"Nerd. But check this. Every two hundred years there is "bad egg". When a male fails to find a mate, he abandons his community and starts using peoples bodies to "nest". Binding them together with a viscous goo. And when the goo fits..." Charlie Says

"Oh great..our perp might just be a giant fly with low self-esteem." Sam Says

"Sam.." Charlie Says

"Yeah?" Sam Says

"What is that?" Charlie Says

He looks out of the windshield of the truck at a person covered head to toe in black. They watch as he sits next to two ladies on a bench making them uncomfortable enough to get up and leave.

HARPER'S APARTMENT

Jack sits down next to Harper on the couch, she smiles at him.

"So, where are you from?" Harper Asks

"I'm from a little town in Kansas called Lebanon.
It's actually smaller than this one." Jack Says

"Wow! Yeah my family's been here for generations. I'm the last one." Jack starts coughing, "Are you okay?" Harper Says

"Is this, Is this your boyfriend?" Jack Asks, holding a picture of Harper and a boy.

"I am single. Perpetually. But Vance was my boyfriend. After high school he wanted to leave town. I told him we didn't need to, we could see the world in books. Which, I know sounds way too sappy and he left anyway." Harper Says

"Without you?" Jack Says, as he and Harper stare into each other's eyes.

"I don't blame him but that, well, that was the beginning of my bad luck. Just so many things that I...I try to stay optimistic." Harper Says

"Me too. I've had some not so great stuff happen in my past. Trying to be positive, it can be hard." Jack Says

His phone vibrates again, with a text from Dean - "CALL ME NOW"

"Jack, do you believe in love at first sight?" Harper Asks, holding his hand so he can't use the phone.

"Do you...mind if I use the bathroom?" Jack gets up and goes into bathroom.

"Jack." Dean Says

"Dean, I'm at Harper's place. The silver and the holy water didn't do anything so she's not a demon. Where are you guys?, Because Harper is not a monster and I'm 99% sure she is in love with me." Jack Says

"That's not how it works, Jack." Elena Says

"Okay but she was looking at me with these googly eyes and then she asked me.." Jack Says

"Look, I promise you, Harper Sayles is not in love with you. Would you calm down?" Dean Says

"Okay, but if she is, I need to know everything about sex. Go.." Jack Says

"Jack, listen to me, the guy that she works with is dead and I mean, fresh dead. Something bit out his throat. So we have bigger things to worry about right now." Dean Says

"Okay, what should I do?" Jack Asks

"Well, something is definitely stalking Harper. Or at least the people around her." Elena Says

"She said that she had bad luck. Maybe she's cursed?" Jack Says

"No, it seems like the guys around her are cursed." Dean Says

"Wait, guys like me." Jack Says

"Yeah, look, just keep her there." Dean Says

Someone is watching Elena and Dean from behind the dumpster, Elena turns around and she gets attacked.

"Lena?" Dean Says

Dean yells and suddenly his phone goes dead, Jack looks at his phone.

"Dean?..Elena?" Jack Says, then leaves bathroom looking upset.

"Are you upset?" Harper Asks

"What?" Jack Says

"Oh, I freaked you out didn't I? I'm sorry, sometimes I can come off as intense." Harper Says

"No. You're fine. I'm fine." Jack Says

"So, do you want to go get coffee? or?" Harper Asks

"I don't know." Jack Says

"You don't know?" Harper Says

Suddenly Dean and Elena comes crashing through the door and Harper starts screaming.

"No no no, it's okay. It's okay. We're here to help you." Jack Says

"Hey, I'm Dean. This is Elena and we work with Jack. We're not FBI, we're here to save lives." He then puts chair in front of door, "Maybe even yours." Dean Says

"Save me? From what?" Harper Asks

There's loud banging and growling at door, they all jump.

"From that." Elena Says

"Who's out there?" Harper Asks

"It's not a who. First I thought it was a ghost, and then he punched me in the face." Elena Says

"A ghost?" Harper Says

"No, she's saying it's not a ghost." Jack Says

"Yeah but now we're thinking ah...who is this?" Dean Asks, holding a picture of Harper's old boyfriend.

"That's my old boyfriend, Vance." Harper Says

"How did he die?" Dean Asks

"Die? I'm thinking he lives in Connecticut." Harper Says

"Not anymore." Dean Says

"Harper!" Vance Shouts

"Vance?" Harper Says

"Vance?" Jack Says

"Vance. Alright so it looks like we're dealing with some sort of undead/ Risen dead, something in that wheelhouse." Dean Says

"Okay uh silver, silver...we need sliver." Elena Says

"Right." Dean Says

"Risen dead?" Jack Says

"Yeah." Dean Says, as he gives Jack and Elena sliver knives.

"Harper!" Vance Says

"Yeah, yeah, looks like you finally get your zombie, Kid." Dean Says

"Zombie?" Harper Says

"No, he means-" Jack Says

"Silver can hurt it, but we can slow it down. But there is only one way to stop these things." Dean Says

Vance crashed through the door then Dean attacks him with silver blade. Vance goes after Dean.

"Elena, Jack! Get her out of here." Dean Says

"We can't just leave you here." Elena Says

"Go! Now!" Dean Says

Jack, Elena and Harper rushed towards the door as Vance watches them leave.

"Archie!, hey let's dance." Dean Says

Vance pushes Dean against the bookshelf behind him, Dean falls to the ground as the books falls to the ground. He gets back to his feet, and attacks Vance again.

TRUCK

It's night now Sam and Charlie are still sitting in the truck, she's still reading as Sam sighs.

"Charlie, you can't just quit and go live on a mountain somewhere. People need people." Sam Says

"Why? Cause they're the luckiest people in the world?" Charlie Says

"Look, come on. We just do. We're social animals." Sam Says

"Emphasis on animals." Charlie Says

"Yeah, but you're also a hunter. The things that we've seen, it's not so easy to just walk away from it all. Believe me, I've tried. Our Charlie tried." Sam Says

"Yeah, well again, she ain't me. It's my life, Sam. Not hers. And not yours." She looks out window, "He's back that's gotta be our guy, right? I say we rush him." Charlie Says

"No no no, wait for it, wait for it. We don't wanna tackle some regular guy just cuz he's into weird fashion." Sam Says

"Mmm, Don't we?" Charlie Says

A Bus soon pulls up in front of bench, blocking view of guy.

"Come on..." Sam Says

The Bus pulls away and Sam and Charlie see guy being dragged down an alley.

"Damn it!, Go, Go, go." Sam Says, as they both get out of truck.

STREET

Harper, Elena and Jack are running from her apartment.

"Wait, what is happening?" Harper Asks

"Look it's a lot to explain but we gotta keep moving." Elena Says

"Jack what's-" Harper Says

"No Look, Look We have to keep moving." Jack Says

Jack lends his hand out and they take each other's hands and run behind Elena. Dean and Vance are still fighting. Dean gets ready to bash a chair on Vance when he stops and all of a sudden leaves.

"What the hell?" Dean Says

THE LIBRARY

Elena, Harper and Jack in front of doors. Harper is looking for the key when Jack pulls open the unlocked door.

"You were going to come back and lock up. Remember?" Jack Says

"No. Apparently my dead high school boyfriend attacked us and I forgot." Harper Says

"Okay you two inside." Elena Says

They all enter library and Elena locks the door behind them.

MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE

WAREHOUSE

Sam and Charlie walks down the alley way with their guns, where the strange man was.

"Where'd they go?" Sam Says

"Okay now what?" Charlie Asks

"Not a lot of options. Look at this." Sam Says, pointing to a door covered in goo.

"I cased this block earlier that was definitely locked and you know, not covered in goo." Charlie Says

"You said there was something in the book about ah, ah a brass nail dipped in sugar water can kill it?" Sam Says

"In theory, since no one has actually seen one and we have exactly zero of those items handy. So..." Charlie Says

"So we get creative." Sam Says

They open door and enter warehouse and there's flies buzzing everywhere.

"Oh God, that is uh-" Charlie Says

"Yeah, smells like pine cleaner and rotting meat." Sam Says

They keep searching the warehouse and Charlie sees a pile of bodies.

"Sam." Charlie Says

"Yeah, he was chloroformed alright." Sam Says

"I found him." The man groans in pain, "He's still alive. We should get him out of here." She gasps as her arm is grabbed, "Sam!" Charlie Says

"Charlie!" Sam Says

Charlie pulls her arm away from the person and falls back off the pile, and hits the ground knocking herself out.

"Charlie!" He rushes to her, "Hey, hey Charlie! Charlie! Charlie!" Sam Says

The Musca gets out of pile and comes after Sam. He holds Sam against the wall and covers him in goo.
Charlie wakes up and stabs the Musca in the back giving Sam a chance to get his gun and shoot the Musca which causes goo to spray all over Charlie.

"So...we got creative. Cool." Charlie Says

THE LIBRARY

Elena, Jack and Harper who's hiding behind the desk looks at the door and sees Vance walks past the library.

"The door did you-" Harper Says

"Don't worry. I locked it." Elena Says

"Did you flip the switch under the lock?" Harper Asks

"What...What switch?" Elena Says

"I'll get it." Harper Says

"Harper, don't..don't!" Jack Says

Harper goes to door and Vance stands in front of it, She then opens the door and lets him in.

"Harper?" Jack Says

Vance grunts and hands Harper a book, she smiles at him.

"Aww, sweet." Harper Says, then she then kisses Vance.

"Oh that is just wrong." Elena Says, grimacing.

"No, No...What are you doing?" Jack Asks

"What? He's my boyfriend. He just gets a little jealous sometimes." Harper Says

"But he's dead. And stalking you." Jack Says

"No, he's stalking you. It's a little game we play. Some people pretend to be naughty nurses, some people get tied up, we do this. Oh, and he has to eat flesh to maintain his body. Stupid magic. But it all works out except...not for you two." Harper Says

"Jack run." Elena Says

Jack runs towards the back as Vance charges at Elena, she picks up a novel and hits him across the face with it. Vance adjusts his jaw, and glares at Elena angrily and she runs towards the back as well,
Harper then speaks over the intercom.

"I'm sorry about all this Jack. I actually think I liked you but you're obviously a hunter and I come from a long line of necromancers. I mean I can mostly only raise the dead but that comes in handy. And I can't let you or your friends get in the way of the love Vance and I share." Harper Says

"Jack just had to have a crush on a crazy chick." Elena Says

"It's first love, Jack. The best kind. Without baggage or compromise. I mean, I did have to kill him to keep him here after college but...every relationship has its stuff, Right? And all the other guys, none of them are like Vance. Strong and courageous and...So they all had to die." Vance is still searching for Jack and Elena in the library, "Especially Miles, who just...ugh. So I had Vance crush his throat. I wish I could've watched. And now we're going to kill you and your friend." Harper Says

Jack and Elena bumps into each other and she pulls him into their hiding spot. Harper picks up a book to read while waiting for Vance to kill Jack and Elena, suddenly two hand covers Jack and Elena's mouth.

"Shhh. Okay, Not a lot works on these things."
Dean Says, in a whisper.

"Uh, headshot?" Jack Says, putting away his knife.

"No, No, No. Creeps like this, you gotta get them back in their grave. Drive a silver stake through their heart to keep them there." Dean Says

"Okay, so..?" Jack Says

"Which means we've got to convince this guy to get six feet under." Elena Says

"And what you're going to convince him with your shotgun?" Jack Says, looking at Dean.

"Not exactly." Dean Says

"Harper? Why are you doing this? I thought we fell in love at first sight?" Jack Asks

"What?" Harper Says

"I'm not weak like those other guys. I'm not afraid to really love you. What would it be like to be with someone alive? Who could walk you down the aisle in front of the whole town and start a family with. With me?" Jack Says, coming out of hiding.

"But I tried to kill you." Harper Says

"Every relationship has its stuff right? We can stay in the town you love a-and never leave." Jack Says

"She's mine!" Vance Says

He charges at Jack and tackles him sending him crashing into a bookshelf, Dean turns a corner.

"Hey!" Dean Says

Vance turns to Dean and is shot with the shotgun in the chest.

"No!" Harper Says

Vance advances on Dean and takes the shotgun away from Dean.

"Hey, okay look, I'm sure you were in love, okay. But this isn't love. Not anymore." Dean Says, as Vance follows him.

"I love her." Vance Says

Jack gets back to his feet and he meets Elena on the other side of the library.

"Yes, sure, sure but now its like some sort of a sick game you know? I mean, you have to eat people to stay together? I mean is that romantic? Huh? You enjoy that? Okay, alright. Let's just think about this for a second." Dean Says

Vance grabs Dean and pushes him against the wall.

"Vance! Baby, kill him." Harper Says

Vance goes to punch Dean but Jack and Elena sneaks in and handcuffs Vance to a pipe. The silver
in the handcuffs start burning his skin he groans out in pain.

"Vance!" Harper Says

"You okay?" Elena Asks

"Yeah, just grab the girl." They look up to find Harper has left, "Oh, son of a bitch." Dean Says

TRUCK

Sam and Charlie are back in the truck, Charlie is driving as Sam is sitting in the passenger seat, he rolls up the window.

"You know, I think that guy from the bus stop...I think he'll be alright. I'll bet they'll take good care
of him at the hospital." Sam Says

"He's also gonna wake up with a serious headache." Charlie Says

"Better than being killed." Sam Says

"Mhm." Charlie Says

"Got to say, I do feel kind of bad for the Musca. I mean, he could have been happy if he'd stayed
with his people. Didn't have to go off on his own
just because..." Sam Says

"Okay, I get it. I am just like the bug and I shouldn't go out on my own. But your nifty metaphor has holes. I wasn't looking for love. I found it and I lost it. And I didn't kill people and literally nest in their body parts so..." Charlie Says

"Okay, yeah I know, I know, How about this? Don't leave. Hear me out. Sure some people can do bad things when they're desperate or scared. I mean the guy we just saved, he has a wife and children. I'm not
saying that all people are good people or even that most people are but if we help people then maybe
they'll help people and all that. And that's worth it. Even with all the tears and death. It's worth it." Sam Says

"Just to be super clear, I am not like the fly monster." Sam chuckles, "But, I'll think about staying." Charlie Says

THE DINER

Harper is sitting at a table writing a letter to Jack.

"Jack, I'm already writing. Isn't that crazy? I'm not crazy. But our love is so vivid. I can't wait to find you. You are the first man to ever get me to leave McCook. Now I'm in the world. I'm sorry I have
to kill you for what you did to Vance but then I can bring you back so that we can be together again.
It's gonna be perfect. See you soon. Love, Harper"

She folds letter and puts it in envelope addressed to Jack care of Lebanon, KS post office.

THE BUNKER

Jack, Elena and Dean are sitting at the table in the bunker.

"So now that Vance is in the grave, he can't hurt anyone?" Jack Asks

"Yeah, silver stake through the heart. That oughta do the trick." Dean Says, pouring himself and Elena a drink.

"You know what this hunt reminded me of, that hunt we did back 06. That guy, Neil was in love with his girl best friend, Angela, and he used a necromancy spell to bring her back, only she killed her ex boyfriend because he slept with her roommate." Elena Says

"Oh yeah, that's the hunt you got that nasty black eye and Sam broke his arm." He chuckles, "The good old days." Dean Says

"If you say so, I knew this case sounded so familiar. The things people do for love." Elena Says

"And that's, love?" Jack Says

"Eh, Actually love can get crazier than that. And it might get crazier with Harper still out there. But, uh, you did good, kid." Dean Says

"And?" Jack Says

"And what?" Dean Says

"I was right and you should be letting me go out on hunts." Jack Says

"Okay, alright. It's not about being right. Kay? You're gonna make mistakes, hell, I make them all the time. But it's how you handle yourself once you've made those mistakes and you've learned from them." Dean Says

"And, how to not beat yourself up over them." Jack Says, then starts coughing.

"You know Jack, you're pretty smart sometimes. I'll tell you what-when Sam gets back I'll talk to him
about getting you out on more hunts. In the meantime we'll get you a crate of cough drops." Dean Says

"I'm fine. It's all a part of being human right?" Jack Says, then coughs again.

"Jack you sure you're okay?" Elena Asks

"I don't know." Jack Says

He looks at his hand which has blood from coughing in it. Jack looks at Dean and Elena, then his nose starts bleeding and then passes out. Dean and Elena rushes to Jack's aid.

"Jack!, hey wake up okay." Elena Says

"Jack! Jack!!" Dean Says
