Haruhi watched with a heavy heart as the young couple walked around anxiously. As much as they knew the smaller boy was fine, they still had lingering ptsd.
Actually, none of them have been camping since that day. But that is neither here nor there.
The group had split up into smaller groups to look for the short boy. This was before being chased by alligators and put in a storm simulation. It did nothing to help the couple's anxiety.
It was more so triggering.
The Ootori family prided themselves on authenticity no matter how far it went.
But this is how Haruhi learned of the third years past. A small chuck of it at the most. It was more than familial ties that bound them together.
It was that memory that haunted them and kept each other close.
So when the storm ended, Fae and Mori were the first two to rush out to find the third in their group. Haruhi insisted on coming with them but they were too stuck in their heads to protest.
She watched as they squeezed each other for comfort. Both holding back tears for fear of a panic attack.
"Usually I'd beat someone's ass for this but watching you scream over every bug was......painful." Fae snickered as she looked at Haruhi being carried by Mori. The only other females to ever be close to him in this manner was Cookie and Rain.
Haruhi was freaking out over every creepy crawly that made itself known throughout this jungle. They were so deep in you wouldn't believe they were at a water park.
Mori, after getting permission, picked the younger girl up. Shielding her away from the things she feared most. She was forever grateful as she smiled awkwardly.
"Apologies." The cross dresser mumbled as she played with her fingers. Only making the girl laugh more.
"It's fine as long as you don't get any ideas. Then I'd really have to kill you." She winked at the girl. Haruhi shuddered as Mori patted his ladies head. Finding her adorable despite her violent words.
"Um, may I ask you a question.....about your friend?" Haruhi mumbled out. Not sure if she was over stepping a boundary but she was a very curious girl. It was both a blessing and a curse.
Fae didn't say anything as her body tensed up but Mori grunted in response. Allowing the girl to proceed.
"Well I was just wondering.....what happened with his parents? More so, where was his dad and how is his mother?" She asked the question that was on her mind. There were many more but that one stood out to her.
It was silent for a second. The two collecting their thoughts as the images flashed past. A frown embedded deep into their faces.
"His sperm donor is in prison. His mother is......... in a mental hospital. She may never come out." Fae whispered.
Well on paper he was in prison.......In reality he was in hell.
It was easy to cover things up when you owned the media itself. But that's a story for another time.

Police and ambulance swarmed the forest.
The children sat on the back of Lloyd's truck wrapped in a blanket together. They stared off into the distance as their eyes fogged over. Watching the EMS bag up their friend. Tear stains covered their faces as dark circles formed underneath their eyes.
They haven't spoken, they haven't moved.
The blood of their friend still stained their clothes and hands.
A sight no child should ever have to witness.
"Sir, can you please tell me what happened?" One of the officers spoke to Takashi's father. Mitsukuni's dad had left to help them find Mr.Milton while Lloyd watched over the kids. Calling the wives to inform them on what happened.
"To be honest I'm not quite sure. We were here on a camping trip and were coming back from fishing. It suddenly started storming and then Milton's boat came untied. He told us he would meet us at the campsite and wasn't there. It was storming hard and we couldn't leave the kids nor take them with us. So we'd decided to go look for them when the weather cleared. But who would've known he was capable of something like this. Murdering his own son." The older man sighed as he held his head. Tears threatened to fall from his eyes.
Chris was a beloved child. He was so bright and happy, giving everyone cute nicknames. He loved to tease his friends, especially the young couple.
His mother adored him as he was her only child. She always wished to have another but she could never hold them to term. Chris was her miracle.
Her reason to live.........
As for his father.....he never treated him badly when they were around. He was a little strict on him but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Mr.Milton seemed to love showing his son off. So to think that he'd do something so vile was beyond their comprehension.
"Thank you sir. We'd like to do more questioning later on as now isn't the time." The police officer bowed to the wealthy man. He kept in mind that he had a young son to comfort so they'd wait to ask further questions.
Mr.Morinozuka nodded in appreciation.
"Here, you three need to put something on your stomach." Lloyd passed the kids premade rice balls; Onigiri. They had made them with Chris before the trip to have as snacks. It hadn't even been 24 hours since then.
They looked at them with blank stares. Faerie being the first one to come to tears as she let out another heart aching sob. The surrounding areas were quiet as they couldn't bear the wrenching noise.
She sat between the male cousins. Her tears brought them to tears also. They tried to be strong but couldn't help it.
And who could blame them?
Lloyd bit his lip as he brought them all into a hug.
"I'm so sorry. I wish I could tell you it'll be okay. I wish I could've seen this coming. I wish I could bring him back. But I promise this is not the end of the world. Chris wouldn't want y'all to cry over him like this. He liked when you smiled and would do anything to see it happen. So if nothing else..... keep smiling for him." The father consoled the 8 year olds as best as he could. Their little bodies trembling in his hold as they sobbed.
"They've found him!" An officer yelled out.
The kids sniffled as they looked up. The image of Mr.Milton walking by burned into their minds.
Those dead eyes and warm smile seemed a little different now. There was a hint of amusement in his eyes as he looked at the children. His smile widening just a hair.
But the children shuddered, hatred filling their hearts for the man that murdered their dear friend.
They watched as he was forced into a cop car.
They watched as he turned around to look at them.
They watched as he smiled even brighter.
They watched as he was driven away, laughing like a mad man.
The image burned in their minds. They vowed to take revenge for their friend.
Wipe the smile right off his face.......

"Put the boy down!" A group of blacked out private police yelled as they held their guns toward the small trio.
Fae blinked in confusion.
The Black Onion Squad was a private police unit owned by the Ootori family. She knew about them of course but had never seen them till now. She was just confused as to why they were aiming guns at them.
"Did we do something wrong?" Haruhi asked with concern. Her heart pounding as she never had a gun aimed at her; Let alone dozens.
"If I had to guess, they think you're Honey and that we're kidnapping you." Fae snickered as she put two and two together. The idea of it was ridiculous but some people weren't that bright.
Mori put the small girl down as he moved Fae behind him. Not wanting her to get hurt in the process.
Suddenly a small being dropped from the trees. Swiftly taking out the police but not killing them.
"Honey Bun!" Fae yelled happily as she poked her head out. A sigh of relief left her lips seeing her cousin-in-law safe and sound.
"Faerie!" The short boy smiled brightly to the girl. Especially seeing her holding up his pink stuffed bunny.
The other came running towards the crowd. Surprise written all over their faces. Cookie hugged her cousin, knowing how mentally draining this all was.
It's not important but Cookie had a crush on Chris growing up. He was the one that gave her, her nickname. So although she wasn't there, she understood their feelings.
"Was Honey really the one to take them out?" Hikaru asked wide eyed as he nudged an officer with his foot.
"Mhmm." Mori nodded as he watched the two female cousins hug. His Fae was holding strong but he could see her shoulders trembling.
He couldn't blame him. Even Honey was quiet as his eyes looked distant.
"That's surprising considering they're still alive." Kaoru shook his head in disbelief. Haruhi looked at them with confusion.
It was explained to her that her tiny upperclassmen was a national champion in both karate and judo. With Mori holding a title in kendo. Fae didn't hold a title but she was a certified killer with a gun.
"Can we go now?" Cookie asked her boyfriend. The joy of the park was no longer there. They wanted to go home and watch a movie or something.
"Yeah. Let's head back." Kyoya nodded his head.
"Next time we should go to the beach. Maybe we can watch fireworks." The twins quip randomly.
"That sounds fun." Haruhi nodded randomly. It's been awhile since she's been to one.
Tamaki smiled to himself. Daydreaming about the girl running on the shore with him. The face he made was unsettling.

Three kids laid in a hospital bed with a brown skin woman that could only look distantly towards a window. If it wasn't for the raise and fall of her chest, you'd think she was dead.
Well she was..... in the inside.
"Mori put that right there. Honey, can you pass me the glitter?" The little girl held out her hand out as she used her other to scribble words on the paper.
"Here you go Fae!" The blonde boy smiled happily as he handed the green glitter to the girl. She giggled as she sprinkled it on the paper. Not paying attention to how it got onto the covers.
"And done!" Little Fae cheesed at the their masterpiece.
The kids looked at the woman that was still silently looking out the window. Her eyes were nothing but a pit of darkness. She appeared haggard from her months of crying. She was a husk of the beautiful woman she was before.
Maya Milton
"Auntie...." Mori mumbled as he grabbed her hand. It was cold to the touch but it twitched when he touched it.
Maya's head slowly turned towards the children. Her eyes taking in the familiar sight of the children she's known for so long.
They held up a small pink book. It was covered in heart stickers.
"We made you this......so you have something to look at." Honey's voice was above a whisper.
The mother slowly took the book from their small hands. Her eyes flickering with emotions as she flipped through the pages. Fingers delicately caressing photos or small artifacts.
Maya's eyes started to water. The tears dripped onto the last photo her son had ever taken. He was smiling so widely with his best friends. Excited for the trip to come as they made Onigiri.
A sob left her body.
The children hugged the woman as she cried. Holding the book firm to her chest.
The parents, her own friends, teared up silently as they sat in the extremely large room. It was the size of an apartment but a mental hospital nonetheless. It did have items belonging to her deceased son strewn around.
Mementos.
The families didn't depart until the woman fell asleep. Vowing to never leave her side.

"Hello Auntie." Three teenagers greeted a woman sitting on the bed. She stared out the window as her eyes looked dull and lifeless.
Her head slowly turned to the sound. A spark of life flashed in her eyes as she smiled softly.
"Fae, Mori and Honey. Hello."
If you couldn't tell, I love to keep things vague🤭 sooner or later I may do a more detailed chapter about what happen to Mr.Milton but for now he is no longer a problem. *wink wink*
We will now go back to our happy wholesome schedule 😃 but yall like how I did that? Their childhood friend being the reason they go by their nicknames🤭
