thirty four.
the only thing calum had on his mind was what abien said last night. was she serious or was she just that sleepy.
the two decided to go eat breakfast at a waffle house not too far from abien's house, so that's what they did.
they sat a a table by the window, off to the side of the restaurant. they had conversations about random things while they waited for their food. calum wasn't oblivious to the way she'd been acting. she was cautious about everything and it looked like she had something to say. he didn't like it so of course he had to figure it out.
"can we talk about something?" calum asked her, taking a sip of his juice.
"yeah," abien nodded, fiddling with her phone in her lap.
"do you remember what you said last night?" he asked.
"no.. what did i say?"
"that you like me." he said with a chuckle.
abien was silent for a moment, ignoring his gaze on her. "that's true. i do." she still refused to look at him. "i don't think you feel the same way about me so let's just forget that i said that and hopefully it won't be awkward."
"it won't be and i won't ever forget you said that." calum shook his head.
"calum.." she trailed off, not really knowing what to say.
"abien, i like you too. i've always have." he admitted with a small smile.
abien finally looked at him almost surprised. "i kinda think you're just saying that."
"and i'm not. i liked you before i even met you. hell, i probably love you. you saying that you like me too is such a relief." calum grinned, red in the cheeks.
"so, what your friends said was right?" she blurted out, biting her lip at her outburst.
"what'd they say?"
a smile made its way to her face. "that you love me."
"that's true." he mocked her. "i do."
