thirty eight.
"do you really think you and calum are ready for a relationship?" monica asked, standing in the doorway as abien was doing her laundry.
"yeah.." she nodded cautiously, throwing clothes into the washing machine.
"you two are going to college soon and this boy lives across the world. he could forget you in a minute." her mother sighed.
"mom," abien shook her head. "calum would never. i may have just met him months ago but i know him." she sighed and looked at her mom. "i really like him and i know we have different futures but there's nothing we can do about it. this is a live in the moment thing, although it's not a summer fling thing. me and calum can work but right now i want to be happy with him while i can."
"alright. this is your first boyfriend that you've really seem happy with, i'm not trying to take that away from you. i just don't want you to get hurt.you really do deserve happiness." monica nodded, seeing where abien was going with this. she only wanted her daughter to be happy.
"thanks mom," abien smiled hugging monica.
"but, he better not hurt you."
"he won't. i'm more than sure."
