sixty four.
a month finally came and abien was getting ready for her spring break with calum. as soon as calum got home he even started looking for a plane ticket for her and sent it. so basically she was already set.
abien's parents were also completely fine with it. they understood how calum's own mother must have felt and decided what was the worse that could happen. abien had even told them about the break up situation and they were hesitant about it but they only wanted their daughter happy.
abien was currently putting on her pajamas when her phone rang signaling she had a facetime call. grabbing her phone from her nightstand, she seen it was calum calling. she quickly answered it, making her way to the kitchen.
"hey," she smiled into the phone, propping it up before making herself some cereal.
"hey abi," calum greeted her. "how are you?"
"i'm great actually. kinda tired though." abien answered making her way back to her room.
"that's good. do you want me to hang up? you can get your sleep if you want."
"no no, i'm fine for now." she shook her head as she sat at her desk, setting her phone up in front of her.
"you sure?" calum asked to make sure.
"positive." abien nodded, eating her fruit loops.
"if you say so," he chuckled. "i can't wait to see you again."
"same here. i'm lowkey excited to see another country more though. i've never been to the down under before." she wiggled her shoulders, winking at him.
"don't even call it that." calum laughed, shaking his head at abien's joke.
"isnt that what you call it?" she questioned.
"no way!"
"what about.. the kangaroo country?" she asked, continuing to eat her cereal.
calum rolled his eyes."we call it australia."
abien laughed before telling him the joke she came up with earlier. "aye, why did the manager hire the marsupial?"
calum sighed, looking at his girlfriend who was having way too much fun. "why abien?"
"because he was koala-fied." abien giggled, falling back onto the couch.
sitting back up, she was faced with calum pertaining a jaded looking face. "oh c'mon that was funny."
"no.. it wasn't." he shook his head, pretending to be annoyed.
"ok ok, how about-"
he laughed loudly then shook his head once again. "fuck outta here with those australian jokes abien."
"oops?"
"anyways yeah, i change my mind. i don't think i want you to come."
"oh c'mon cal pal. i was joking." she whined, pouting her lips.
calum shrugged, knowing he couldn't resist abien. "maybe i want you to come, maybe i don't."
abien stuck her tongue out at him as she made her way onto her bed. "i'll come anyway, asshole."
"you don't even know where i live." he stated, despite remembering that she did indeed know his address.
"bitch, yes i do." she retorted with a laugh.
"oh shit, right, well i won't let you in." the boy concluded.
abien yawned, "whatever."
"you look sleepy," calum mentioned and she only shrugged. "go to sleep, abes."
"i don't wanna."
"you look exhausted babe. and i know you're tired because all you do is laugh when you're sleepy." he pointed out.
abien thought about it for a moment then decided to protest. "i really want to stay up and talk to you."
"you can do that. tomorrow, when you're well rested." calum assured her. looking forward to the screen, abien stared back at him pouting. she really was sleepy, he knew the effects of a sleepy abien. "look, as soon as you wake up you can call me or whatever you want to do. alright?"
abien nodded, smiling lazily at her boyfriend. "okay. i love you."
"i love you, abes." calum honeyed. and with that abien fell fast asleep thinking of the boy she loved.
