(THIRD PERSON P.O.V.)

Click,click,click then splash.The sounds of a certain person with white hair walking around in the once populated and lively City.Smoke was all around,corrupting the Last bits of clear air.

They looked around,observing their surroundings.What happened to all the old times they've had here?Everything was now crumbling slowly to the ground.And not to mention the metallic smell that was also present,from all the fights that have happened here.They happened so frequently,yet it was so silent here.

They kept themselves at bay though,as the small bits of fire that were left certainly wouldn't do any good.

Wait.

.......

Their ears tingled.

A rock had fallen from somewhere on their left.

Was someone here?Was it the fire?They looked around vigurously,trying to spot whatever caused the alerting sound.It had to be someone.Yes,the building were slowly falling,but they'd fall all at once,wouldn't they?

Gripping their Bat tightly,mentally and phisically preparing for a fight.Today was not the day that they will give up their life.Even if they would never do that willingly...

Turning around,there was a Person.A young looking one at that.

Both parties were looking at eachother,staring.The Bat slowly lowered down,as wielder had a confused look on their face.The youngling had green hair,which stood out quite the bit.

She slowly raised her hand up to her shoulder length as she looked like preparing to say something.

"Heyyy.....I don't want any fights,alright?"

Raising an eyebrow,the other person lowered the Bat to their hips.Then they hesitantly nodded.

"I'm...not looking for any fights either."

They both seemed to settle down,muscles relaxing slowly.The green haired girl seemed to have the urge to speak once more,but the situation was already akward enough for her.Epressing with her hands,she saw the other wasn't understanding,so she had no other choice.

"Anddd your name is...?"

Akward silence again.The white hair thought about it wether it was safe to do this or not,but she couldn't really do anything by knowing her name.So it was decided.

"Kaori.My name's Kaori."

The other girl smiled.

"I am Izumi!"

They both exchanged names,and it seemed to take some of The akwardness away,that was till yet another strange sound was heard.

Before they could both properly react,Izumi was Rolling on the ground,with another person on top of her.It was a....cat looking person?Just like Kaori.

Izumi felt rather dizzy,but she could make out the figure on top of her.Rubbing her eyes,she pushed them off,as she sat up.

"What's your deal?!"

She asked with a loud tone,as the person before her just snickered.Kaori was still dazed from what happened,but they did approach where they landed soon enough.

Sticking their tongue out,the cat-like person got themsslves off of Izumi,also dusting their clothes off.They did want to respond,but theh still had to use their cocky-like nature.

"Hmm....Well,not really my fault,but you looked very absorved into your conversation.And that was the perfect time to strike!Im just trying to have fun afterall..."

They said,making lots of different body gestures,enhacing their words further.But it seemed like they weren't done with their short little speech-

"Ah,I know!If what I did really bothered you,let me apologise by telling you my name.I am Kanna.Well,Kanna Mirai."

Well,that wasn't really the apology Izumi had wanted,but she will go along with it this time.Just this one time.

But now...honestly what should they say?Just become friends and hug?No,in this kind of period of Time,this wasn't the ideal thing to do,moreover with a stranger.

"So...are we uh...I don't know.Aquaintaces now?Or hey,we can be a group.You guys definently aren't vampires since you're..cats.And I'm not a demon either!So what do you think?!"

Looking at one and another,they visibly thought about it.Were they really going to place so much trust into eachother this early?Maybe,since they can all protect themselves.

Both of them hesitantly nodded,then once again stared back at Izumi,who looked pleased woth their answers.

"So that it is then,we have a plan.Kind of a plan.Sticking with eachother!"

Kaori was honestly just happy that Izumi was doing all the talking since she didn't really 'feel' like doing it.So,that's a bonus on her end.

As for Kanna,she honestly had wanted to find someone as her own species,so Kaori wouldn't really have a lot of peace later on.Neither will Izumi,since...you know,chicken have wings Too.

Now what were they going to do?It didn't seem like anyone had a house...or a safe place.All of them were wanderers,using their skills to stay alive.Guess they still won't have one for a while.

"We should get going..Maybe we can find some others!"

Kanna spoke up,as she already had a location in mind to check out.It was one of The biggest shops in the city.Perhaps other people will be there for all of The food and clothes that used to be stored there.

"Right."

Kaori mumbled as she looked at the floor.Maybe she was overthinkig this situation,and should relax a little.But she still wasn't sure if these two were that trust worthy.

Izumi and Kanna had already started walking away,as Kaori followed after a bit.

Soon enough,they were there.As expected it was all trashed around,useless things thrown on the floor,and the actual useful things were of course nowhere to be seen.

"I guess this was to be expected."

Kaori spoke,while inspecting anything they could,maybe there was something left here somehow.Sighing,they turned back around to the two,showing a face of defeat.

"So,do we keep checking this place out?Or do we just leave?"

Kanna perked up into the conversation,as she had a hand on her hip.It was really cold in here,so she didn't want to stay here much longer.If it was an option...she'd just wait outside.

"Let's keep looking for a little,who knows maybe we will find something,hopefully."

Izumi said with a finger raised up,making every decision there was to be made.Which maybe it wasn't a bad idea,since each was valid.If it wasn't,the other wouldn't let it slide.

"Got it."

Kaori answered,as they went into a smaller clothing shop,not so far away so she wouldn't get lost somehow.Not so long after,a scream and a screech were heard,so the other girls immediately went after them.

As expected,there were two people,not one.A girl with grey hair and black tips was there,stading,staring at Kaori after her fright.She seemed pretty harmless,so it for sure meant they didn't have to fight.

"Woah."

Was all that was heard,coming from Kanna.She thought the reactions were overdramatic,but oh well.

"You-eh???"

The girl stuttered out.Wow,now she was surrounded by people,and not to mention her still being caught off guard by the cat-girl.

Kaori slighed out of relief,somehow this clumsy looking girl managed to scare her so bad,that she screamed loud enough for the other girls to hear.But now that they thought about it,they were looking for someone New for also their New group...

"What's your name?"

"Huh?"

"Your name."

"Oh-Um,Genny."

"Wow I didn't think it'd be this easy..."

"What?"

"You do realise we are in a kind of  a apocalypse,correct?"

"Yes but-You guys look friendly!And you are,right??"

"I guess so yeah."

That was a small chat between the two,which was short to say the least,but it's not the only one they'd have for now.

Now,Kaori,Izumi And Kanna were exchanging looks,most likely deciding wether they should leave with their new teammate or just keep looking more and more around.

After a few minutes,they all were already out of The shop,and out the building.

"Hey hey...do you guys have a place to stay?I feel like I just got adopted.."

Genny said mumbling the Last part.She was not really wrong,They found her and then took her with them simply.

"No.But an abandoned place should do it."

Kanna and Izumi nodded at Kaori's words profusely,visibly they couldn't really disagree anyways.

So just like that,they all went around houses,apartments and different shops to see which would be really suitable.But they thought after a while,they managed to live without one for so long when they were on their own,so what would be different this time?So they quickly gave up.

One requirement they had now though,was food.They needed way more since there was four of them,which was more than enough.That meant they'd be forced to go on scouts daily,ravaging stores of what's left.So after a day or so,the first one was in progress,Kanna and Genny being sent out.

"Uh...Why is there only canned foods left??Don't people know they're the Best right now?Since they Last for a long time?"

Genny asked while browsing through all the different type of cans,putting them into a bag after checking the expiration date.There was lots of them,so the bag was quite heavy,but they will manage.

"I dunno.You know not everyone is smart,right?But I was ceaving some stuff with meat.Sadly there is nothing."

Kanna asmwered as she looked at all the labels of what food was used to be stored on the shelves,pouting as she didn't find anything she wanted.

"Right rightttt..."

Genny trailed off,zipping up the bag after emptying the shelves.Being done,she stood up straight since she was crouching to get every little item she found.

"Alright,That's it!Let's go!"

Kanna made an OK sign,as she took the lead,leaving the small convienence store with a proud walk.But poor her,as soon as she got out the door,she got a hit to her head,causing her to stumble backwards and alerting Genny at the same time.

"Agh...-!You Imbecile!"

Kanna yelped out as she brought her hands up to her head,trying to lighten the pulsing sensation.Her ears were now flattened against it too,a sign of stress for her.

The person that had just hit the girl was looking her up and down with a glare,before making eye contact.She had green hair,along with purple eyes.

"You should really just suck it up."

She said harshly,making it seem like the girl was making a big deal out of it.After all,it was just the dull part of a dagger,nothing else.

"Suck it up?!"

Kanna yelled out in an ofensed tone.She was taking all the words that came out of The green-haired girls mouth personally.

"Yes?Did you not hear me?"

Now they were both getting annoyed at a max and probably would've soon atta ked of it wasn't for Genny-

"Hey heyy,Let's not fight!We can just alk this out,can't we?Afterall,I'm sure it was just out of suprise or something!"

The so supposed 'attacker' could see that The blonde was choosing her words carefully so they could make sense-since she hadn't shared her name yet.She sighed,it was too early to do this,but the girl before her seemed nice,and it wouldn't affect her that much anyways..

"Rika's the name.And I guess we could.But wether it was out of suprise or not,I can't really say."

Genny now had a small smile on her face,pleased with the fact that Rika didn't cause any further arguments with the hot headed Half-cat.

On the other half,Kanna had already recovered from the pulsing hit,as she just stared at the ground,or more like glared.The interaction between the two was so natural after what had just happened.

"Wait you're not a vampire are you?Well I guess not you would've already started sucking our blood-so that must you're...uh...one of us?Yeah you sure are!"

Genny voiced out loud her thoughts about Rika's species.She had to be right,since she didn't look human either-For her,atleast.

"You're actually right.I'm not a vampire nor a human."

"I knew it!Oh right right-You know,we have kind of a hm...gang?Group!Yeah,wanna join us?You know what they say,the more the merrier!"

"How many others are there?"

"Well,there is four of us!Is that too much for you?"

"I guess not.Well,I will join you.But that doesn't mean I'm going to protect you or something..."

"That's fine,I can protect myself and so can the others!"

They chatted a bit as Kanna just looked back and forth to who was talking.She wanted to get going,plus she was starting to get hungry.

So just like that,the three left to meet up with the others,were they stated as a meet up point.When they did see eachother,everyone got introduced properly.

They all seemed to get along,if being an act or not.So it's safe to say that there will be no problems anytime soon.Afterall,there was no trust earned here at all,so it won't be that much of a suprise.

Phew im finally done with the first chapter for the ???.I'm so sorry it took so long to come out!And yes I do accept tips on how to make my writing better and overall more interesting.Oh and sorry for any spelling mistakes too!
