𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘 had rolled around faster than Cassidy could have anticipated .

Her alarm blared throughout the 4 walls of her room telling her to wake up . She turned over in her bed checking the time before snoozing in and turning back over hoping to sleep a little longer .

Oh how wrong she was .

Her mother came barging into her room practically ripping the blankets off the girl .

"Up and at em , Cass! First day of school!" Her mother was always a morning person , or at least that's how she came off as . She pulled back the teens curtains letting the light shine into the dark room . this caused the girl to turn away with a groan while trying to bring her blankets back around her .

She really didn't want to leave her bed .

"Get dressed and come have breakfast , Bella will be here soon to drive you to school ."

Nancy then walked out of her daughters room closing the door behind her .

Cassidy sighed , opening her eyes as she stared at her new ceiling , knowing that one day it's the place she'll look at most nights .

She muttered curses as she lazily got up walking over to her bathroom to get ready , showering , brushing her teeth , doing her hair and makeup , and getting dressed .

Once she knew she was ready , she made her way downstairs passing by Caleb and stealing a piece of bacon off his plate before walking towards the kitchen .

"Hey! there's more you know .." Caleb frowned , clearly not amused by her stealing his food . his older sister simply smiled and shrugged as she finished the bacon before making her a to-go cup of coffee for school .

" Cassie , make sure to try and make friends this year ?" Nancy said from behind her as she was dressed in her scrubs sipping on her coffee while leaning on the counter .

Cassidy turned to smile at her and nodded . " Sure , mom ."

" you know she wont-"

Bella had finally pulled into the schools parking lot before parking the truck , both the teen girls had gotten out of the truck .

" Nice ride-"

" Shut the fuck up ."

Some kid was already making Bella feel like shit and Cassidy wasn't going to let that happen . Bella looked over at Cass with wide eyes but she had linked their arms walking towards the school entrance .

Not noticing that across the lot a certain group of students were watching their movements .

As the girls walked together , arms still linked an Asian boy walked up to them .

"You must be Cassidy Walsh and Isabella Swan? Hi , I'm Eric the eyes and ears of this place ." Eric, introduced himself to the two girls as they all walked together . Bella interacted with him more than Cassidy , she was too busy observing the conversation not wanting to talk to him .

"Anything you need , tour guide , lunch date , shoulder to cry on?" Cassidy rolled her eyes at the comment .

"Not interested but thanks .."

"Um , I'm really more of a suffer-in-silence type ." Bella stuttered . Cassidy was done with this conversation .

"Bella I'll see you at lunch , ok?" the girl said as she received a nod in response before walking away to her first class . Upon entering the room she glanced over hoping to fin an empty table but found none in her sights .

Disappointed , she walked over to the teachers desk .

"Hi , I'm Cassidy Walsh , where do I sit?" Cassidy introduced herself to the teacher , She was a well aged woman , looked about late 40s , slightly graying but still could be seen as pretty .

She smiled up at the young girl . " Hello Ms. Walsh , I'm Mrs. Brandy . You can take a seat next to Ms. Hale ." She stated before pointed over to a blonde In the back of the class sitting by herself .

Cassidy nodded as she made her way to the back , praying that she doesn't say something stupid .

Try to make friends .

Once she got close enough she sat down in her seat placing her bag on the floor next to her before looking towards the front of the class , thought she could feel the blonde practically burning holes in the side of her face just from her glare .

"Did i do something wrong ?" Cassidy snapped accidentally as she turned her head to look at the blonde , who was momentarily stunned .

" Whats your name?" Cassidy had to admit she was gorgeous , but damn was she also scary .

" Cassidy Walsh , you?" her voice came out as a mumble , why was she so nervous? She's seen pretty women but never this beautiful .

"Rosalie , Rosalie Hale . Nice to meet you , I suppose ." The blonde introduced herself before turning to listen to Mrs. Brandy and her lecture .

Halfway through Rosalie spoke again .

" So you're new , yes?"

"Yeah , just moved back ."

"Back, you used to live here?"

"Yeah , when I was little . We moved to California when I was 2 so it's not like a remember anything ."

Rosalie hummed softly in response , while Cassidy was trying to keep herself neutral . but she was freaking out wondering how she was supposed to continue their conversation .

"What about you?"

"Moved here from Alaska , but unlike you we started when the school year did ." she ALMOST laughed , it was almost like a ghost of a laugh but Cassidy heard it .

" We , do you have siblings or just you and your parents?" Cassidy asked now looking curious .

" I do , but we aren't all related , other than me and my twin Jasper . But I have 3 other siblings and my adoptive parents ." Rose explained . Most people would find it crazy that she was ACTUALLY talking to someone other than her siblings , but for some reason Cassidy seemed different .

In her mind Cassidy didn't smell human , she smelt nice , but not appealing . But with the knowledge she knows now , along with what she's know before she met the girl , she already likes her a little more than before .

" Nice , I only have just the one brother , must be crazy having so many people in one house ." Cassidy commented with a small laugh .

" It's bearable , most of the time ." Rosalie said it almost unsure , probably internally cringing at the moments when it not bearable .

" Maybe I should meet them then ."

" Maybe .."

It rolled around to lunch time , Bella and Cassidy had met up and walked towards the cafeteria , arms linked as it was their way of silently comforting each other since they weren't very social people .

Eric had also joined them , much to Cassie's dismay , he followed Bella around like a lost puppy as they got their food and moved to a table .

Sitting at said table was a blonde boy , and a brunette sitting next to him .

Cassidy would later find out to be Mike Newton and Jessica Stanley , ones a jock and the others a pick me . Fun .

Cassidy completely toned out the conversation , looking around the cafeteria trying to find Rose , hoping that maybe she could sit with her and her siblings instead of them .

Her glanced were stalled when she looked out the window to see Rose walking into the cafeteria , with her siblings following behind her .

" Who're they?" Bella asked , clearly also intrigued by the group .

" The Cullens ." Angela stated , as she leaned her arms on her table , while Jessica's eyes widened a bit that Bella didn't know who they were . Hell , Cassidy only knew Rosalie .

" They're Dr. and Mrs. Cullen's foster kids . They moved down her from Alaska like a few years ago ." Jessica started explaining . Cassidy watched the door as the Cullen siblings walked into the cafeteria .

" Thet kinda keep to themselves ." Angela said softly as she was trying to be understanding and nice , Cassidy already liked her more than Jessica .

Jessica looked behind her before turning back to Cassidy and Bella , "Yeah , cause they're like together . Like together together ."

"Jessica if you keep saying the words 'like' and 'together' more than once in a sentence i will actually slap you ." Cassidy stated finding the girls speech annoying .

Cassidy rolled her eyes before looking over at Rose and tall buff boy who walked beside her over to what she assumed was their table . Rose looked over at Cass and gave her a small wave and even smaller smile which quickly fell .

Jessica looked over at Cassidy with a bewildered face . "I'm sorry- did the Rosalie Hale just wave at you ? Girl what!" She exclaimed , still entirely confused and definitly jealous of how the new girl was able to make friends with the blonde .

" Yes? Is that weird ?"

"She's a complete bitch to the rest of us- how'd you manage?"

"First , don't call her a bitch. She is actually a really nice person . Second , we had things in common ." Cassie shrugged , she still had a frown on her face from listening to the insult Jessica threw at Rosalie .

But her attention was quickly pulled away when the next two Cullen siblings walked in , hand-in-hand .

" Anyways , the little dark haired girl , that's Alice , she's really weird ." Jessica was really getting on Cassidy's nerves .

I think she's gorgeous .

Cassidy couldn't seem to stop staring at the two as they walked together , the look of love in their eyes almost made her heart race . She wanted that .

" And she's with Jasper , the blonde one who looks like he's in pain-"

"Maybe he just doesn't deal with people well . Maybe he's just uncomfortable . Stop being such an ass Jessica ." Cassidy said pulling her gaze away from the beautiful pair .

Jessica opened then closed her mouth looking like a fish out of water .

Cassidy didn't realize that the four Cullens sitting tables away from her , could hear everything she said and how she defended them , more specifically Jasper .

Alice turned to her siblings and husband , "See ? I told you guys she was awesome ." Alice smiled brightly as she glanced at the fiery brunette .

" Gotta admit , she's not half bad ." Rose agreed glancing at her new human friend with a soft smile . Emmett grinning beside her .

" Oh? Has my Rose finally made a friend ?" Emmett teased his wife who glared at him in return which didn't stop him from laughing .

" Alice , I don't know about this . what if you're vision is wrong ?" Jasper said as he stared skeptically at the back of Cassidy's head .

" Oh trust me , it's not . Damn she is dirty minded ." The copper haired boy , Edward had walked into the cafeteria and sat down with the rest of his siblings .

Alice looked over at him with a smirk , " mind sharing what you heard ?"

"Absolutely not but I'll share the more age-appropriate thoughts. She finds Rose pretty , and somehow nice . She says that Emmett looks like a big teddy bear , in a platonic sense , her words not mine . And the last one that I will quote , 'oh the things I'd do to have a chance with Alice and Jasper' ." Edward grinned , Alice just smirked with a small laugh . While jasper looked stunned by hearing his words .

And goddamn if he wasn't technically dead he's be extremely red faced right now .

" Oh how I love her already , right Jas ?" Alice grinned mischievously at her husband who was still wide-eyed .

" You really had to pick her , Alice?"

" Hey , i wasn't the only one who picked her ."

" Touché .. "
