"Do I look okay? Is it too much?" Adrien kept messing with his hair as a worried look riddled his features. His nerves were hay-wired as he kept pacing.

A few weeks have gone by and life couldn't have been better for the young couple.

Dakota and Adrien had been spending a lot of time together in that last month. They got to know each other a lot more. And if they were honest, it felt like they've known each other for years. They just felt so connected.

You know when you're comfortable with a person and you can just be yourself without feeling judged? The relief of knowing you can talk about the most unhinged topic you find interesting and the other person gives you their undivided attention.

That's what Dakota and Adrien felt for one another. They so easily told each other things they have never told anyone else. From their hopes and dreams to their deepest secrets; besides their hero identities.

They learned in those few weeks that they communicated with each other very well. It was as if they could read each other's minds and solve problems before they became problems.

Like when Dakotas cycle started, Adrien just seemed to know exactly what she needed. He had already started the day off with bringing chocolate croissants and a ginger tea. All week he would bring her things that she didn't even think of using. Like a heating bad shaped like a turtle and smelled like chamomile.

No one has ever done that for her other than her family. It made her heart melt for the man all over again.

The Spades girl had also been spending an awful lot of time watching Adrien work. Although she had never seen his dad, she did run into his assistant. The two women got along well, which the blonde found surprising.

Nathalie hated just about every girl around him except his few female friends.

In reality, the older woman did come at Dakota sideways out the gate. But the youngest of the family handled that very quickly which granted her respect from the assistant. They've been buddies ever since along with the fact that Nathalie respected the girls family in general.

In those times she'd sit at his photo shoots, she'd practice her art. And honestly, she couldn't have chosen a better model. The brown girl may be a little bias in her thoughts but she believed Adrien was absolutely perfect.

His features were symmetrical and defined. It wasn't impossible to draw him. The challenge she found in making his portraits was truly displaying his aura.

But each one was getting better and better. Although Adrien found anything she made to be utterly remarkable. He full heartedly believed she was the most talented artist he'd ever seen.

A few other things that happened was the bonding between Dakota and Adrien's friends. The Spades girl still hung around the friends she made on her own but she also enjoyed being with Adrien's friends. They were fun and inviting, always asking her to come with them when they did group things. So of course she grew close to all them.

Well not all of them.......

Marinette and Luca were the only ones she wasn't too close to. For different reasons though.

The blue haired girl that always radiated jealousy, never liked Dakota. She knew that, she was fine with that. Dakota could also tell that the girl had liked her boyfriend, this was proven true by Alya and Chloé. One of the two had a lot more colorful opinions than the other. Once again, she was fine that. It's not her fault she didn't confess first nor the fact that the blonde didn't have feelings for her.

Dakota just didn't like the girl was all. She gave her the creeps but didn't have anything to justify why. Well other than the intense staring the girl gave her. It always felt like eyes were on her but when she'd turn to look, the blue haired girl would be doing something else.

For the most part Marinette was engrossed in her own relationship that she started with Luca. Who Dakota learned was in love with the girl for years. It would've been sweet if it didn't seem toxic.

The reason she and Luca weren't close was because of Marinette. It was if she micromanaged everything the young man did. It was down to who he could talk to.

It's not that it was ever verbally said but in her body language and eye contact, you could see she didn't allow Luca to talk to Dakota. Or any of the girls for that matter. She wondered if the pig tail wearer even let him talk to his twin sister.

Dakota had to admit that at first, Luca looked happy but it started to slowly decline. But if anyone tried to talk to him about it, he'd almost shut down and just brush it off.

He was a working progress for the girl.

What's strange is that the opposite has been happening in her hero life. Ladybug has been trying to get closer to her. Uncomfortably close.....

Phoenix and Chat Noir have kinda just been watching and seeing where this would go. Because instead of fixing her image she's worried about other things. Crazy work.

"Baby you look fine, stop all that damn pacing cause you're making me dizzy." Dakota laughed as she turned from the mirror and looked at him. She was fanning her face that she just misted with setting spray.

The male stopped and looked at her. He was in complete awe of the beauty before him. He didn't understand how he was so lucky to have got with her.

"Wow..... you look amazing." The model stammered as if he couldn't find the right words to describe her appearance. His eyes raking her figure as he took every detail in.

Dakota laughed and did a quick spin for him.

"Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself." She teased him with a sly smile. Adrien blushed as he played with the rings on his fingers.

"Oh, do you have something I can clean up with? I spilled some makeup on the counter." The shorter of the two smiled awkwardly. She had make up remover so it wouldn't stain but she needed to wipe it up first.

Yep, the couple were getting ready at Adrien's penthouse.

He was nervous the first time he brought her over. He didn't know why as he's had people at his home before. It's not like they came to have sex or anything, he had just wanted to cook dinner for her.

Dakota loved his place though. It was a simplistic style and gave bachelor pad. Her favorite thing about it was that he had one of her paintings hung up. They ended up talking about how he got it commissioned from her and had no clue. It was actually one of her favorite pieces and she was sad to see it go. But now she can see it whenever she wants.

  Funny how the universe works.

She also met his cat Plagg. He was a silly cat in her opinion that loved cheese. He'd always find a way to coerce her into opening the fridge for him.

The one time she brought Maui over in his bird form, he just stared at the cat. It was strange as the bird wouldn't take his eyes off the cat at all. When she spoke to him about it later he was just as clueless. All he could say was he didn't like that cat for some reason. He made his head hurt and chest burn.

  Dakota never brought him back.

"Don't worry about it beautiful, I'll clean it later. We don't want to be late meeting your family." He kissed her forehead softly.

Dakotas lips pursed as she grimaced at the thought of dinner with her family. They had been hounding her about meeting Adrien in person. So much for giving her time to get to know him first.

"Oh yeah......them." She rolled her eyes before going to grab her purse. She took a peek inside of it to see Maui in his Kwami form playing angry birds on her phone. She snorted at the sight before gently closing it.

With that, the young couple made their way out and to the restaurant.

"Has he seen your nunu yet?" Was the first question Olive asked before the couple could even fully make it to the table.

"What is wrong with you? Why would I tell you that at dinner and in front of our parents?" Dakota pinched the bridge of her nose out of embarrassment. She loved her sister but sometimes she wondered how many times she was dropped on her head as a baby.

"What? You the one with Coochie cobwebs, not me. Haha, never me actually." The trans woman shrugged as she leaned on Dallas who was equally embarrassed. Not because of what she said but the fact that they had sex not long before coming here.

"You're such a slut." Dakota rolled her eyes and ignored the woman. She was ready to crawl in a hole and die.

The answer was no by the way.

"Intywayz! Momma, Daddy, this is Adrien Agreste. Adrien these are my parents Shanola and Morris Spade. That unpleasant twat you met was my sister Olive and next to her is her boyfriend Dallas Maloney." The young adult introduced to two parties to each other. Adrien who was still blushing quickly composed himself and gave an award winning smile as he walked up to the parents first.

"Hi, it's so nice to finally meet you. You've raised an amazing daughter and I'm so lucky to have met her." The blonde spoke genuinely as he praised his girlfriend. He could definitely see where she gets her looks from.

He's seen the Spades parents of course. With Morris being a famous CEO and Shanola being an award wining actress, they were hard to miss. But they were even more stunning in person.

"You're even cuter in person! Come here and give me a hug." The mother excitedly stood up as she walked to the young man that wedged himself into her daughter's stubborn heart. Adrien was a little taken off guard but hugged the shorter woman.

It was such a motherly hug, something he missed in life.

"Morris fix your face and come greet this boy." The woman fiercely turned to her husband that was glaring at the young adult. He was once again giving that stern fatherly look as he scrutinized the male.

Morris stood up to his full height. His larger frame was slightly overbearing but Adrien's dealt with worse. The father looked at the young man that almost met his height. The blonde looked back at him with full confidence as he held his hand out for a handshake.

All of sudden Morris's lip stared to quiver and his eyes watered. He pulled the model into a hug as he sobbed.

"You took my baby away from me! I want to hate you but she likes you so much!" He cried as he hugged the shocked Agreste. Dakota really wanted the floor to open up and swallow her alive.

"Daddy please stop. You're embarrassing me." Dakota hissed at the male. She hated it even more that people were staring at them and her dad was sobbing like a child.

Even so the father did put the young man down and held out his hand for a proper shake. Adrien was still dazed but shook hands.

"I don't like you." Morris sniffled as he shook Adrien's hand. The model didn't know what to say as he just nodded.

"Don't worry, he claims to still not like me either and I've known him all my life." Dallas whispered to the younger male. Morris was a big softie and they were best friends. Not once did he ever believe the father didn't like him.

"Hey Adrien, remember I still lady boy. You make my sister cry and I'll whoop your ass." Olive mean mugged the blonde before turning to her sister and winking. She even mouthed the words 'he's hot' making Dakota roll her eyes.

"Olive I beg you, please shut the fuck up." Dakota just stared at her. What did she do wrong in life to deserve this?

"Okay, okay, that's enough. Everyone sit down so we can get started." Shanola brushed everything off and shoo'd people to their seats.

Adrien pulled out a chair for Dakota making her smile. She kissed his cheek before sitting down. He couldn't help the goofy smile that graced his face before pushing her in. He quickly took a seat next to her.

With it being six of them, they were at a circular table. The order being Morris, Shanola, Olive, Dallas, Adrien and Dakota.

It was a classy and high end restaurant they were at. To be expected when the parents were the most famous of the group. If they wanted a quiet evening it was better to go to a place where people didn't care about how famous you were because they were on the same level.

Not to say they don't go for regular restaurants still. Sometimes it was just a hassle.

"So Adrien, tell us about yourself. Kota says you're a model for your dad's fashion brand. I've seen your work and you've got talent kid." Morris sipped on some whiskey he had ordered before hand. He ignored when Dakota stole a few sips.

"Thank you. I've been modeling for my dad for as long as I can remember. Other than that I'm currently in school for business management as I want to one day start up my own model agency. I also enjoy fencing in my free time if not just being with my friends." Adrien told them about himself like his likes and dislikes along with other hobbies.

The family would ask him a series of questions, most not even being about himself. It was fair enough to say that they liked the boy. Dakotas initial embarrassment melted away the more he joked around with her family.

Adrien himself enjoyed being in a family setting. He hadn't felt such familial warmth in a very long time. He felt relaxed and comfortable with Dakotas family. He didn't want to do anything to mess up the bond he made with them.

"Adrien? Is that you?" An all too familiar voice rung out. Dakota and Adiren looked over with a look of both surprise and dismay.

"It really is you!" Miranette smiled at the male as she walked over to the table. Luca trailed behind her with an unreadable expression. His eyes seemed to finally look at where his girlfriend was going and there was a flash of hurt in them. He then looked at Dakota and gave her a small nod.

The young woman pursed her lips and gave a small wave. She looked back over at Miranette and cleared her throat.

"Oh Dakota, you're here too. I didn't even see you there, hi." The blue haired girl smiled at the youngest Spade. This made the brown girl furrow her eyebrows.

"Interesting, but you saw Adrien first?" She asked with confusion on how that even worked. Dakota was closer to the door and the way Adrien was leaning over, you really soundly have know it was him.

"What can I say? Adrien just stands out." Marinette laughed at her own joke. Or at least I think it was a joke. Actually I have no clue what was funny but she laughed.

"Who's this Blubbery Muffin rip off?" Olive twisted her face up as she looked the girl up and down. The hairstylist already had a nasty feeling towards the girl that interrupted their dinner. She found it even more odd how she ignored the whole table of people and happened to focus on her little sister's boyfriend.

Ain't that her man behind her?

"Hi, I'm Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I'm friends with Adrien andGirl we are not friends." Dakota immediately cut her off before she could even look at her. She wasn't going to sit there and pretend like they were either.

The inspiring fashion designer frowned before looking over at Adrien who gave her a dead stare. She shivered slightly at his cold look.

"What are you doing here?" The male blandly as he grabbed his girlfriend's hand. His thumb rubbed across her knuckles as in a means to soothe her. Marinette's eyes flickered to that.

"Me and Luca are on and date and happened to see you guys. Just thought we'd stop by and say hello." She grabbed the male behind her and smiled. She hooked their arms together and gave off a look of being in love. Luca gave a strained smile that everyone noticed but the girl.

"Are you sure Lucas here with us?" Olive mumbled seeing the spaced out boy that looked uncomfortable in the formal attire. Now that she looked at them. Their clothes looked awfully similar to Dakota and Adrien's. The colors were different but the style was similar.

"That's nice, you can leave now." Dakota gave a tight lipped smile as she shooed the girl away. She wasn't trying to be rude but she really was rubbing her the wrong way.

"Dakota you're always so short with me. I really don't understand why you don't like me. Adrien and I have been friends for many years. And since I'm with Luca now, I hope you won't feel so insecure anymore about us being friends. Right Adrien?" The girl looked over to the blonde and gave him a smile. She batted her lashes lightly as if trying to communicate some secret message.

Everyone just stared at her dumbly. What the hell was she talking about?

"Marinette are you alright? Dakota has never had a problem with us being friends, and if we're honest, friends is a very loose term." Adrien asked the girl as he furrowed his brows. He didn't understand at all what she was talking about. What he did know was he wasn't going to let her paint Dakota out to be some jealous woman.

"You said it yourself. You didn't want to be friends because you're with Dakota now. I was just trying to be respectful of your relationship." Marinette looked at him with doe eyes. Her words were innocent and caring with just tang of hurt. She seemed like a selfless friend that backed away out of care.

Yet she had of way of still blaming the girl. If it wasn't for Dakota's jealousy would they still be friends?

The girl in question furrowed her brows. Adrien immediately stiffened at her expression. The last thing he wanted was her to feel like she was the cause of whatever was happening here. Mainly cause that's not the full context.

"No, I said that because you were being disrespectful towards someone you haven't even gotten to know. Why would I be friends with someone like that?" He quickly cleared up the misunderstanding she caused. Olive however was sipping her cocktail in amusement. This was fun to watch.

Marinette frowned as she looked at the male. She looked like a kicked puppy.

"I apologize if it came off like that, I was just trying to protect you." She said softly as if she was the one that was being victimized. Her demeanor would make a man's heart soften.

  Not here though.

"Protect me from what?" He narrowed his eyes in confusion.

Marinette looked from him to Dakota. Then she briefly glanced at her family. A long sigh slipped from her lips as she pushed some hair back behind her ears.

"It's nothing, pretend I didn't say anything." The bluenette waved her hand awkwardly as she attempted to leave. Pulling Luca along with her to go find their table.

"Nah, where you going? Any other time you have so much to say. Protect him from what? What could I have possibly have done  that makes you need to protect him?" Dakota called out her before she could leave.

Marinette stopped in her tracks and a sly smile graced her face before she turned around. She looked scared and uncomfortable. Yet she looked Adrien straight in the eyes with a tender and concerned look.

"I know about your arrest and trial......."

Dun dun dunnnnnnnnn!
Time for some more drama😚❤️
