The day Vhaella Targaryen was born was one of sunshine, the sun seemingly burning brighter than before - welcoming the babe into the world. All the dragons roared as one, circling the skies above the keep - welcoming the Targaryen babe.
Mere hours after Daenerys' laboring the young mother set out to find her dragons, baby Vhaella in her arms. For the coming days of her pregnancy, she had noticed that one of her dragons - Drogon - was acting weird. The large he-dragon had been acting territorial, only allowing Daenerys into his space. Any other being was welcomed with a growl and sharp teeth. When Daenerys would step towards him he would gently nudge her swelled belly, a content rumble echoing from his chest.
Daenerys had assumed he was ready to see the babe in her womb, so here she was walking across the green grass plains towards where she knew her dragon had settled. Vhaella remained asleep in her arms.
Cresting the hills, Daenerys easily spotted her black and red scaled son - curled up among the green grass. Daenerys tugged on their bond, thrumming her fingers across the iron-clad cord that connected them, watching as Drogon lifted his large head.
Daenerys closed the distance between them, placing her hand upon Drogon's snout when he outstretched it towards her and the babe. A deep, content rumble echoing in his chest.
"Hello, my sweet boy..." The large wyvern nudged her hand, chest rumbling. Pulling away, Drogon curled back into a ball.
Worry filled Daenerys' chest, worried about her large son's strange behavior. "Drogon, what's wrong?"
Drogon grumbled, wing twitching when she approached, crouching to place her hand upon Drogon's wing.
"What's wrong, sweet boy?"
Drogon grumbled, tail flicking at his side as Daenerys ran her hand down his wing, assessing him for any injuries.
Vhaella stirred in her arms, giggling when her lilac orbs caught sight of the large dragon. Drogon grumbled, arching his head towards the little babe, curious. Vhaella giggled, showing a toothless grin as she waved her tiny hand - reaching out towards her mother's dragon.
Drogon huffed, gently nudging the babe's outstretched hand - wing flaring at his side as he stood.
Daenerys' breath caught in her throat, stunned as she noticed the three large scaled eggs that Drogon had been curled around.Three dragon eggs.
The eggs were laid in a nest of leaves, three eggs of varying sizes. Daenerys could feel the heat of the eggs from where she stood. The largest of the eggs was black and green, nestled in between two mounds of leaves. The second largest, some of its scaled surface slick with mud, was a dark purple, nearly black. And the third, the tiniest egg, was a solid black, a color that swallowed any light that shown upon it.
Drogon stepped to Daenerys' side, nudging his mother towards the eggs he had laid. Daenerys stepped to the eggs, crouching beside them as she regarded her son. "You want Vhaella to have them?"
Drogon shifted on his feet, eyes glowing and tail wagging. Bubbling excitement and care hit Daenerys, entirely from her largest son who dipped his head down to place his muzzle against Vhaella's cheek - the little babe giggling.
Daenerys smiled, heart warming as she plucked the eggs from the ground and settled Vhaella against her breast in order to carry all four of them. Brushing her fingers against Drogon's scales, Daenerys thanked her son before setting off towards the keep - the large dragon following after his mother.
