It was no surprise that the guild still loved and accepted her.
Nobody cared about anyone's background here. When you're a Fairy Tail member you were family. Family didn't judge and family didn't turn their backs on each other. That made not just Solana cry but also Lucy.
Although her story wasn't as tragic as her best friends she still had her own issues, that the star born mage handled very quickly for her. Jude Heartfillia will not be using his daughter like a business transaction ever again. That, she made sure of.
It had only been a day that Solana was gone and the guild was absolutely miserable. She was their little sunshine that made everyone smile whether she was trying to or not.
And the key from having their world not destroyed by a dragon......
She always knew she was going to stay in the guild but this only solidified her resolve.
"I haven't seen Julie and the old lady since I was 12. I hope they still remember me." The curvy ginger fidgeted with her fingers. Not sure if she wanted to knock on this door or not.
The newly mated couple left early in the morning to go on a day trip. They were going to visit the nun that did everything she could to help Solana escape. Along with the old lady that met her mother once.
"They are the ones that sent the mission request to help you." Kageki grunted as he stood behind her. Holding the giant bag she was holding all her gifts in. Why she didn't just use a spacial pocket? Because the bag went with her outfit and she didn't want to carry it for nothing.
Although the male didn't mind.
Anyways, the last clue to their puzzle when locating the girl was a mission request that had long since been on the board. It was long since ignored as the reward wasn't high for the task.
But the job was to rescue a girl from a cult like church. And they hoped for someone to absolutely abolish the place.
Imagine their surprise when the girl in question was their Solana.
"Still, that mission was from 4 years ago—*Knock Knock Knock* " Her self doubting rant was cut off by the male knocking on the door of the medium sized orphanage in the quiet village. It had a sign on the front that read 'Julie's Angels.' They weren't far from the city, maybe a 30 minute walk.
"Oh you bit—HIIII!" The woman went to scold her lover but switched tunes immediately when the door opened. She was met with two women. One in her thirties and the other was significantly older.
"S-Solana? Is that really you?" Julie covered her mouth as her eyes started to water.
The young adult couldn't help the waterworks that made its way to her eyes. She nodded her head as she bit her quivering lip.
The nun looked exactly the same just slightly older. Although she was no longer adorning the old attire she once had. Julie burst into tears as she hugged the plump girl.
Solana couldn't help but cry right along with her. This woman took care of her when her mother died. She did whatever she could to keep just the slightest once of humanity in the girl.
"Well damn, y'all just forgot about me." The older tatted woman huffed as she folded her arms.
Solana couldn't help but laugh as she went to hug the older woman.
"I need moneyyyyyyy." Lucy whined as she laid her head on the bar table.
Solana and Kageki came back to the guild about an hour ago. She wanted to stay longer but if she did, she wouldn't want to leave. So here she was cleaning out glasses for the barmaid, listening to her best friend's woes.
"Weren't you and the team going on a job when I left this morning? What happened to that?" The light skin furrowed her brows in confusion. It was a pretty high paying job at that.
Lucy groaned at the thought of that.
"They had to give it all away to pay for damages." Primrose snickered as she sat next to Kuro. The black cat was napping as usual but seemed to snicker in his sleep.
The blonde glared at the rabbit that only laughed. She only knew this information because her and Mira loved to gossip together. The little star turned bunny knew so much about this place it was terrifying.
"Wow, it must suck to have to worry about money." Solana tsked as she poured some beer for a group that came to order. Snorting at the drunken jokes they told her and then argued when someone said it wrong.
"Girl, don't you also have bills to pay? Your apartment cost more than mine." Lucy scrunched up her face at her friend. She was never really aware of the girls financial situation but she's also never really seen her work.
"Hubby!" The light skin called out to the male that seemed to be interacting with his guild mates. It was most likely forced but the fact that he didn't move was a good sign.
He rushed over to the girl in a blink of an eye. He hummed lowly as he waited for what she needed. The girl simply held out her hand.
Kageki grunted before five stacks of jewels ended up in her grasp.
"Is that enough?" He asked as he narrowed his eyes at her. He was prepared to just give her his whole lacrima filled of money and other things. He had plenty of it too.
"Thanks baby." Solana bent over the counter to kiss his cheek. The small blush creeping up his ears was absolutely adorable.
The dragon grunted before heading back to his table. He knew good and well they'd move to where he was and he didn't want them to bother Solana as she worked.
The star mage looked at the key mage. A smug smile on her lips as she cradled the thick stacks of bills in her arms.
"Rent money is right here." Solana snickered as her friend rolled her eyes and banged her head on the table.
"How about I do a job with you?" The older girl suggested as she got back to work. Taking down orders from her fellow guild members.
The blonde sat up immediately.
"Really?! You'll do a job with me?!" She asked excitedly as they really haven't done one with just the two of them. She thought Solana was the strongest person she knew on top of being smart and strategical. Whatever they did was going to be in the fucking bag!
"I love the theater." Ezra smiled fondly at the building they stood in front of. The rest of their team was right behind her.
Lucy loved her other teammates but she couldn't help but be a little disappointed. What was supposed to be a thing for her and Solana quickly turned into a group mission. All because of a smelly fish loving cat.
MiraJane had offered the group a simple but well paid mission. It was just to promote a play for the theater in town. Nothing more and nothing less. An easy task they could handle without destroying something.
Except it's not what the mission ended up being when they got there.
"This is going to go so horribly wrong." Primrose muttered from inside her bag with Kuro. Her eyes darting around the knuckle heads that have probably never acted a day in their lives.
Yep, they were actors for the night.
When they arrived to the theater, coincidently all the actors came down with an illness. Turns out they had just enough people in their team to cover them. Yay.......
"I think it'll be fun. What's the worst that could happen?"

"Oh no! It all went terribly wrong!" Solana watched from the sidelines with the animals. The train wreck before her was very much on brand for her teammates but jeez.
The play started off normal for the most part. Lucy played a princess that was being held captive by Natsu the dragon and Gray the evil king. Cool. Erza was playing the brave knight coming to save her. Fun. Solana was the princess's fairy godmother who for some reason couldn't magically get her out of the castle. Weird but moving on.
Why, just why did they have Kageki play a fucking tree?
Natsu and Gray were loosing their shit making fun of the dragon. Who of course got annoyed as he already didn't want to be here. If anything he'd rather be a stage hand but Solana insisted he participate.
And dear gods did she owe him for this.
Once the fire and ice duo decided to start messing with him on stage, he retaliated. Easily over powering them. But this caused them to have a mini brawl in the background of mainly just throwing things.
Meanwhile Lucy seemed to be having a wardrobe malfunction. Either that or she was ready to debut as a stripper. Daddy issues will do that to you. Because it was as if her and clothes had a toxic relationship and always wanted to break apart.
Literally......
And then of course you had Erza, who was still center stage trying to say her first line. Stuttering miserably as she stared out to the crowd. The people watching just as blankly at the disaster of a play.
"It's up to me isn't it?" Solana sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Yep." Primrose, Kuro and Happy replied at the same time. Also holding the bridges of their nose.
The star mage groaned as she lifted up the low budget dress. Walking over to where Lucy kept all of her stuff. She shifted through it until she found her slowly growing key ring.
Grabbing the keys she needed.
"Okay Lyra, I need you on music. Horologium, I need you on narrations." She directed the two most useful keys at the moment. They bowed as they always did before running off to do what's needed.
"Happy I want you on lights. Kuro you change the backdrop to something......not this. Primrose you get those ones off the stage by. Any. Means. Necessary." She divided up the work between the three animal partners. They saluted her like a soldier to their general and did as told.
"What do you want me to do?" Gray popped up behind her. Making the girl jump up before smacking her racing heart.
"Dear stars and sunshine. Where the hell did you come from?!" She stared at the male with horror as he awaited directions. Gray shrugged his shoulders.
"Well when a mommy and daddy love each other very much— AAAAHHHH I get it you little shit. Just tell me, do you know how to dance?" She cut him off making him laugh. Her hands covering her, in her words, virgin ears.
Gray awkwardly scratched his neck.
"I mean I'm not the best at it but yes. Mira used to be obsessed with it when we were younger. Somehow I was always her victim." He sighed as he thought of the hours they spent learning different dance styles. His thighs burned just from thinking about it.
Solana held back an obnoxious snort. Of course she did.
"Perfect, follow my lead." She dragged him to the center stage.
The lights dimmed and the background changed to a castle garden. The four mages disappeared mysteriously from the stage. Lyra softly started to play music to which the two mages danced to, once the narrating began.
The story that Horologium made up was that the evil king kidnapped the princess because he knew she had a beautiful fairy godmother. A fairy godmother that he was in love with. Everyday he awaited her return to comfort the princess hoping to catch a glance of her. He'd do anything to get her to at least talk to him.
The dragon that fiercely watched over the castle was a gift to her. It would follow her every command.
He told her he let the knight get by him so he could be the hero her princess wanted. Just to see the fairy smile.
The tree that he planted was her favorite kind. He wanted her to be able to watch it flower in the spring and change colors in the fall.
The fairy was surprised by all of this. She couldn't believe what he was saying. He went through all of this to get to her?
The two danced in the garden as Gray displayed the king's admiration for the fairy. Solana was torn between flattered and horrified.
In the end, the fairy godmother accepted the king on the account that he let the princess go.
The End.
*Clap Clap Clap*
The crowd roared to life as they clapped for the end of the show. It was confusing at first but the ending reeled them back in.
Solana and Gray smiled as they hugged each other. Happy this didn't end in the complete disaster that it was. Even the others had to applaud them for saving this train wreck.
"Bravo! That was wonderful! I look forward to seeing this all week." The theater director smiled as he praised the mages.
"Excuse me? What did you say?" Solana blinked at him as if she had no clue what he just said.
"I look forward to seeing this all week. Considering you have to do this three times a day for a week according to the mission request." The man said with a smile.
The team looked at him.
"IMMA KILL HIM!"
