Early in the morning after a simple breakfast, Team Natsu headed to the park. Considering Solana and Kageki go out for a jog every morning, the others decided to join them.

Upon entering the park they heard a lot of commotion. So like any other nosy bunch, they made their way over.

  The murmurs were deafening to the once curious group. The stares of pity made their stomachs churn. There was an eerie feeling in the pit of Solana's stomach as she pushed through the crowd.

  Not that she had to.......they parted like the Red Sea.

  The dragon and slayer covered their noses in surprise.

  The stench of blood was strong as it lingered closer. It invaded their noses and burned senses. It's not as if they haven't smelled blood but something about this had them on edge.

  It didn't help the crowd knew something they didn't.

The curly haired mage felt her breath hitch as she caught sight of a gruesome picture. She wanted to vomit feeling her breakfast gather in her throat. The tears blurring her vision was a sickening feeling yet she rather go blind.

  "w-w-what hap-pened?" Solana stumbled forward through the crowd. Her hands reaching for the scene.

Before the group stood a tree in the middle of the park. It was renowned for its age, size and beauty. The cherry blossom tree was hundreds of years old and the largest tree in the park. It was as protected as it was beloved in the vibrant town.

But this wasn't why everyone was gathered.

Plastered on the tree like mere decorations were three members of Fairy Tail; Levy, Jet and Droy. Their bodies bruised and battered from a fight they definitely lost. Soon pinned up like a crucifix for all to see.

Marked like an autographed photo by none other than Phantom Lord.

But that's not all that Solana saw........⭐️

She didn't know her body was shaking until Kagekis arms wrapped around her. Her breathing was unusually labored as the pounding of her heart dulled her hearing.

He covered her eyes but it did little to help.

The image was burned in her mind.

She wished and prayed that was why she was on the verge of a panic attack. How much she would give to just be a friend that was distraught by the horrors presented to her. Her life would've been much simpler.........

'S҉t҉a҉r҉l҉i҉g҉h҉t҉~҉'

"I got you." He whispered in her ear. Squeezing her tightly in hopes his actions would bring her comfort. Even the slightest peace of mind was enough to ease his own worries.

The way her body radiated deep rooted fear made a part of him break. The bond he shared with her wasn't completed yet it was as if he could feel the pain she hid far down her heart. He didn't know what scared her so deeply but he promised he would remove whatever it was.

No one will lay a finger on what's his.

"They think they can just mess with one of ours and get away with it?!" Natsu yelled as he riled up the guild.

The group of mages rallied outside of the Phantom Lord guild. Their anger surging as they raised arms.

  The whole not fighting back stance was way out of the window. They wouldn't just sit idly by after their precious members were used like batting practice and hung like trophies.

  "Yeah!" The guild yelled back as they took up arms. A desire to fight was burning in their hearts.

"Then let's give them hell!" Natsu spat as he glared at the building before them. The anger he harbored was displayed with whisk of flames circling around him. His breathing heavy as smoke trickled out like a chimney.

The guild charged in. Their first line of attack consisted of Natsu, Erza, Gray, Elfman, Loke, Cana, Happy and Master. It wasn't all the fire power they needed but it's what they had.

Kageki was attending to Solana who was helping Lucy with the injured. He studied her as she silently cleaned and bandaged their guild mates. His brows furrowed at her odd behavior.

Every few seconds she would shrink into herself. At some moments, her breathing would become strangled as if it was on manual. Her hands would tremble as she gently touched the people in the medical bed.

She was scared, that much he could tell. But the real question was of what?

"Why would anyone do something so horrible?" Lucy mumbled as she brushed some hair out of Levy's sleeping face. Her body covered in ointment and bandages. They had scrubbed away the black paint that marked her body like farm raised cattle.

"They want something from us. That much is obvious. It's more so about what they want." Kuro stared off into space. The possibilities were endless considering they were no strangers to having enemies.

  "I hope they put an end to this soon. The stress is going to damage my fur." Primrose sighed as she brushed her paws over her ears. Combing out the soft fur coating them.

  "Well I'm going to head to the apartment first. I'll pick up some food on my way back." Lucy stretched as she gathered her things. Her words targeted at her friend that was lost in her own mind.

  She didn't know what to say as she didn't know what was wrong.

  Believe it or not.......Lucy doesn't know anything about Solana's past. She's asked, but always received vague answers. She doesn't even know her last name.

The blonde knew it was a sensitive subject so she's never brought it up. She didn't need to know to still want to be friends with the person she is today.

Lucy soon left the couple alone.

Silence once again filled the room. It was suffocating as neither party knew what to say. One stuck in her thoughts as the other observed.

  "Wifey/Kageki." The two spoke at the same time. The words vibrating around the room as they paused. Waiting for the other to speak again.

  A small chuckle left the plump beauties lips.

  "I just want to thank you for coming to rescue me from that boat party. As far as I know, I might've ended up as sex slave or something." She rolled her eyes playfully although she wasn't looking at him. Her body still faced the unconscious guild members.

  Kageki frowned at her words.

  "I would've never let that happen." He spoke firmly as he glared at the back of her head. The seriousness in his tone made her laugh just a little more. She turned to look at him. Her dulled eyes had just a hint of sparks still in them.

  "I know baby, you're there when I need you most. That's why I love you so much." She placed her hand on his cheek. Smiling softly as she admired his face. He always held a blank expression that could sometimes be mistaken for anger. But his eyes always betrayed his face.

  They expressed so much love and admiration when they stared at her. A look she could drown in as it filled her heart with joy. It was a look she longed for to be displayed towards her.

  Kageki was her world.

  He protected her, loved her, trusted her, experienced new things with her and was always there for her. The time was short between them but she felt like she knew him all her life. He was so easy to be around and as much as he didn't realize, he was a different person around her.

  This big scary man was a good ball in private. A side of him he only wanted her to see.

  She didn't know if it was because the mate thing or something else, but what she did know was that she truly loved him.

  Both hands cupped his face as her eyes shed the tears she tried to hold back. They were hot as they streamed down her cheeks. Her lips quivered as she chocked down a sob.

  "please forget me." She whispered before pulling him into a kiss. His eyes widened as his heart sped up.

  But there was nothing he could do or say before he blacked out.

  "My name is Lucy Heartfilia." The blonde sobbed as she crumbled to the ground. Her hands sloppily rubbing at her eyes. It did nothing but spread the tears across her face.

  To rewind just a bit, when Lucy left the guild infirmary she was walking into town. She knew Solana's favorite restaurant would be opening any minute so she was going to get some lunch to eat back at the apartment with everyone. Hoping it would cheer her up just a bit.

  Unfortunately for her, there were eyes on her. Stalking her like prey that foolishly walked into their trap. She was oblivious to it all.

  She crossed onto a street that happened to be empty. Stopping when it suddenly started raining. The cold droplets made her shiver as she looked up in confusion.

  Lucy may have been a blonde but she wasn't dumb.

  This was someone's magic, and that person was obviously targeting her. A lone girl on an empty street. She also happened to be a Fairy Tail member. Go figure.....

  "Drip, drop, splash~ Rain has always displayed such a solemn expression." A monotonous voice cut through the sound of pouring rain. Her high heels clicking across the pathed road in such a rhythmic beat. Slowly and steady but filled with confidence.

  Lucy stood on guard. Her hand on the handle of her whip. Fingers twitching as she tried to stay vigilant.

  "Who are you and what do you want?!" The blonde yelled out into the empty street. Her eyes squinted as she tried to make out the figure shrouded by the rain.

  "Isn't it obvious? I'm the woman of the rain~" The suddenly appeared before her. Lucy couldn't even let out a breath before she was kidnapped.

  "Look who's awake! I thought you'd sleep all day." An older voice chuckled as Lucy's eyes fluttered open. She could feel the thick scratchy rope against her wrist.

  She sighed internally that she didn't learn a more useful magic. She was even helpless against simple rope.

  "What do you want? If I was your target, why hurt my guild?" She sighed as she sat up. Not feeling any pain anywhere she assumed they didn't intend on hurting her.

  "You're a sharp little thing, it's no fun at all." The guild leader of Phantom Lord, Jose, pouted. It's was sickening and made her skin crawl.

  She gave him a blank look before he sighed.

  "Sadly you aren't smart enough~ Your father wants you home. Such a naughty girl to run away from her loving home. Messing with FairyTail was merely an added bonus on my side." Jose clicked his tongue in disappointment. His eyes lit up seeing the raw emotion displayed on her features. From fear to anger to exasperation.

  It made all of this worth it. Seeing someone crumble before his eyes.

  "I will never go back there.......so you can tell that man to fuck off." Lucy spat as she glared at the ground. If he wanted her to come back, all he'd get is her casket.

    "You think you have a choice?!" Jose chuckled before it turned into a gut wrenching laughter. Holding his stomach as tears pooled in his eyes. This girl was absolutely hilarious to him.

  Lucy bit her lip as she squeezed her eyes shut. She had to get out of here and fast. She had the same question spinning in her head. What would Solana do?

  "I need to use the restroom." She sputtered out. This caught the evil man off guard.

  "What?" He blinked with confusion. Lucy rubbed her thighs together as she made a look of discomfort.

  "I really gotta go. You kidnapped me before I could make it home, what do you expect?!" She whined as her face started to become flushed.

  Jose twisted up his face and left the room for a brief second. He came back with a bucket and threw it in front of her. Lucy rolled her eyes but didn't say anything else.

  "Alright make it quick." The man sneered as he looked at her. Lucy raised an eyebrow.

  "Turn around you pervert." She spat back as she gave him a look of disgust.

  The guild master sighed heavily before turning around. At least he had a shred of dignity.

  Lucy grinned to herself when he turned his back to her. She jumped and ran towards him. She lifted her leg to kick him between the legs as hard as possible. His soul left his body but it obviously wasn't going upwards.

  The celestial key mage wasted no time in running towards the window. Her only method of escape. She looked back at the man that held her captive and smiled.

  "Tell him to chock on a dick for me!" She yelled before throwing herself out the window.

  "y-you're not t-the only.......... one." Jose whispered in pain before blacking out. But Lucy was far gone, having no way of hearing him.

  As she fell her eyes pooled with tears. She could only take a deep breath to clear her mind.

  "LUCYYYY!" Natsus voice screamed out for the girl. She smiled softly, the whole reason she jumped out the window is cause she knew he was there.

  He was always there..........

  "It doesn't matter who you are. To us you are just Luce." Natsu wiped the girls tears from her face. Kneeling on the ground before her.

  She looked around at the people surrounding her. They smiled at her so warmly and comforting. They didn't blame her for what happened if anything they're happy to know why this was happening.

  She was their family now, and they protect family. This is all she ever wanted, this all Solana ever wanted for her. To be surrounded by love.

  Lucy went to speak but before she could the whole guild crumbled down. They felt as if their organs were being crushed by an unknown force.

  But why didn't it feel like they were under attack?

  Why did it feel like they were forced to bear someone else's pain and suffering?

  Outside, the once sunny sky was pitch black. The bright sun covered by the moon. Forcing it into hiding yet it seemed as if the moon wanted something more than that.

  It was as if it believed that if drowned out all the lights it could bring out the stars.

  Because what is the moon without the stars?

  "Welcome back Priestess Caeliferous~"

  "Fuck you."
